". I was very impressed with the facility, it has a resort feel. It is very new. The common areas are open and airy. The food was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The courtyard and pool are very inviting. All of the staff that I met were very friendly and helpful."

"I moved in to St. Paul's Manor. The food is sometimes OK, sometimes good, and sometimes not the best, so it varies. I love the rooms and the people. I have a large studio which has plenty for me and my little dog. They accept pets, and they have lots of social activities like meet and greet for new people who move in, which is really nice. They have a lounge that you can go to all day long and read the newspaper and look at photo albums. It's less expensive, but the higher you go up the floors, it gets expensive. You can get studios or 1-bedroom apartments. "

"I liked Atria Collwood. The rooms were huge. It was a smaller community. They had independent living and assisted living. The girl at the front desk was very helpful. She was where she needed to be, and she was wonderful. She was a good first person to come see. The place was a little bit older, and they didn't have as many openings as most of the other places. The girl said they were at 90% capacity at this point in time. They had two-levels. She showed me the dining room. They had an outdoor dining and grilling place, a little fitness area, courtyard, walking paths, places that residents could just go sit outside, and a library. The staff was very outgoing and very friendly. Everybody said hello, and that was one thing that impressed me. It seems like all the people that work there, all looked professional, neat, very friendly, outgoing, and had smiles on their faces. It just seemed like they enjoy the environment that they were in. I think it takes a special person to be able to work in that sort of environment. They had exercises, a library, and outdoor dining areas. There's a lot of places that you could go outside. The gal showed me a couple rooms that were actually very large and very comparable. The only thing that turned me off on them was she brought me to a room on the second floor and it had like an outside, almost like a common walkway. Anybody that lived on that side would have access to it. When I stepped out there, it looked like the railings needed painting. It looked like it wasn't used very much, and it needed a facelift. That was the only negative thing I would have to say about them."

"It looks clean. The patients appeared to be very happy and had good things to say about it. People we talk to are knowledgeable. They had a model we could look at. Then they had the exact room that my dad would move into if he was determined to go that direction. It was very nice. "

"Belmont Village Sabre Springs was a beautiful retirement and assisted living facility, but I had to move my friend after one month because his needs were a little bit too much for them to accommodate. The staff was good, but he needed to have more round-the-clock watch and more needs to be tended to. Other than that, their facilities were clean. It's a beautiful, beautiful place and they accommodate so many people and the residents looked so happy. They had a lot of events and he enjoyed it very much. They were amazing. Their food and dining room were amazing, too."

"Belmont Village had both facilities for senior and assisted. The place was very pleasant. It also had a small community feel that I liked. The location was right for me and it would be easy for friends and relatives to visit. They had several different sizes and prices of rooms. They had dual rooms for assisted living and senior living. They had three different types of apartments for senior living. I liked that I had a choice of what I would want. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was quite good. They had a gym for the senior living and an exercise program for the assisted living. "

"Our Dad had a stroke in early May 2023 and at 94 lost his ability to walk and take care of himself. We live in Encinitas, so wanted him to be close to us. After going to look at several Assisted Living/Independent Living Facilities we were quite surprised to find that Westmont Of Encinitas was far superior than all the others and actually was quite less in cost. The facility is just slightly over two years old and the staff is friendly, food is great and the activities are plentiful. Just in a short 2 months he is walking on his own, living in his great bright 1 bedroom apartment and going to Bridge 3 times a week, going to Ice Cream socials, and exercising and building his strength up with their great Physical Therapists. We brought him down from Costa Mesa to Westmont of Encinitas on May 25, 2023 and he is thriving in such a short time. I would highly recommend Westmont of Encinitas for any loved one. Our father is happy and social and healthy now. This facility is a 5 Stars for sure."

"I went to Cypress at Junipers Senior Apartments. I thought it was awesome. It's new, it's clean, and the surrounding areas are nice. The people that were there that we talked to were nice. It was great. They're brand new. The apartment is pristine and clean. It was a good size. It was very nice. A friend of mine is moving there from Hawaii, so I'm considering getting a place there."

"Grossmont Gardens was like an apartment complex. There was nothing wrong with it. The people were nice. It was very pretty. I liked it. The apartments didn't have a kitchen (just a sink), but it was OK. They were adequately sized. You had quite a few floor plans to choose from. San Diego County is very expensive, but it was OK. It was very clean. The staff during the tour was very nice, attentive, and very helpful. The activities were good."

"My mother moved into Monte Vista Village. It is wonderful. 'Cause Lemon Grove is an older area, from the outside it may not look like it's in the best area, but inside the property, the grounds are just beautiful. They've got their koi pond, they've got flowers everywhere, it's really nice walking, like a whole little area that they can walk in, and it's very inviting. In spite of the pandemic, I do know that they have bingo going on right now, they also have happy hours. Right now it's a mobile happy hour where they go to each resident's place, and I think the assisted living offers that as well. I know they also offer arts and crafts, they just recently opened their main dining hall, it's great, they have on one side a buffet, and one side a sit-down, the area itself is really nice, it's kept really clean. I know they have a topnotch chef there who came from another hotel property I think, and my mom never seems to complain about the food, she always seem to think it's pretty good. Even during COVID they had them ordering off menus, and everything was usually pretty good."

"Silvergate Rancho Bernardo is uniquely designed as a small boutique hotel or resort, enabling us, as residents, to all meet and show care/concern for each other in a very special way! Our senior residential living community is impressively atypical from the others in its care facility classification; i.e. the excellent, available food is provided at two restaurants; the property provides a beautifully landscaped, spacious courtyard, swimming pool and Club House. Inside this warm, inviting community we all find amenities to fit our diverse desires. These amenities include a hair salon, fitness center, theatre, game lounge, art studio, yoga studio, spa, socials, and clubs, just to name a few. Relocating to a community such as Silvergate Rancho Bernardo was a big life decision for us. However, this decision was made a lot easier when ALL of the existing residents we met (some of whom we knew) had nothing but the highest praise for the community, its amenities and staff. And speaking of staff, the patience, compassion, responsiveness and professionalism of the marketing team was exemplary in ensuring our comfort from the initial introduction to Silvergate through the entire consideration and move-in process. They, along with all of the other on-site staff, are great ambassadors for Silvergate Rancho Bernardo and all it offers us, as residents! We certainly join the many who highly recommend Silvergate Rancho Bernardo! From the food and staff to the diverse activities offered, we feel Silvergate Rancho Bernardo provides us a high value in daily living!"

"I'm at here. It is close to my family, it looks nice, and the price includes utilities and DirecTV. It is a little bit pricey, but it is cheaper than regular apartments around here. The move-in experience is fine. The staff members are very nice. They have activities, but I work during the day and the activities are all during the day. They have an exercise room that has some equipment ithat I can be using, but I'm not. I tried the food, and it was high-cholesterol and high-fat stuff for breakfast, so that was the last meal I've had there. I cook for myself. The building is OK. It's a two-story building with a common patio and a garage on the first floor as well. It's nice-looking and clean. They have free laundry. They have a patio where you're invited to plant plants if you want. With regards to the food, I asked if they had an egg white omelet and they said, 'No we just had eggs and cheese,' so we have cholesterol issues. The food doesn't look like it's what you need. I don't eat there and it's also expensive. The layout is fine. The elevators are sometimes slow, but they seem to be better recently."

"Pacific Pointe Retirement was very nice. The lady that helped us was very, very informative. A lot of the residents there seemed very friendly. It's also right next to a bus stop even though I have my own car. But I wouldn't mind taking the bus down the hill to the grocery store and then come back up. It's in the heart of Chula Vista, and that's what I liked about it. The room was very, very nice. I was looking for more of a larger studio or a one-bedroom. The staff showed me the dining room and the elevator, but they didn't have a one-bedroom that I was interested in available at that time. They had a very small refrigerator in the room, but they didn't have a sink except for the one in the bathroom, and that was it. I was looking for more like a little kitchenette or at least counter space, but no, they didn't have that. The staff said they provide meals in the dining room. But it was a wonderful place. I like it. The staff who gave the tour was the receptionist. She stepped up and she showed me and my cousin around. She was very, very good. She's Hispanic and very, very nice."
