My father has moved into Katella Senior Living Community. It's a great facility. We had good communication. The staff member showed me all around and answered my questions. The place was clean and the residents seemed happy. It didn't have an odor. It's an older facility, but it was nice. They have something going on every day. It wasn't one of the more expensive ones, but it shouldn't be because it's a pretty older facility. There were more expensive ones, but you felt like you were in a resort or on vacation. My dad didn't need all those bells and whistles. It was probably adequately priced for what you're getting.

I toured Katella Senior Living Community. It was very good. The facility is not as grand if you will. They only had 19 residents in the memory care unit. I felt a smaller number was more comfortable for me. They have a standard double room and the staff answered all my questions.

My father is going to Katella Senior Living Community. He chose it because it was a smaller community, and that was more of what he was looking for. They were doing a bowling party at one point when we came in. They only had the main dining hall, one small common area, and one other gathering area. There's no barber shop and no gyms there. They have outdoor areas and those were quite quaint and very nice. We looked at the studios -- it's basically all they really have -- and they were quite nice. They offer transportation back and forth to doctors. Besides having independent, they also have assisted, they have rehab next door, and they have skilled nursing on the end.

The location of Katella Senior Living Community is very, very conducive for our family to visit. It's close to my three children, my house, and some of my husband's doctors. The staff seemed extremely friendly, supportive, and helpful. The apartment my husband will be staying in is very nice. He has a bathroom and everything there. I just wish they had better parking. Other than that, it's very clean and very well-kept.
