I like where Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls is located. It seemed like a very alive sort of place. I only visited the independent living part. I thought the prices for this area were very reasonable but the flipside on this is it is not new. The staff took me to a room, but it was not brand new, it did not have granite countertops, and it was not stainless steel, but it was clean. It was practical and serviceable. You get what you pay for. It was reasonably priced. I liked downstairs the garden area or common area. I know two people down my street who moved there and they're happy, but don't expect luxury, don't expect granite countertops. It's dated, but it seems like it serves its purpose. They do not care for people who are heavily into dementia there. The staff who assisted was very nice. If you're on a limited budget and can't afford $6000 a month and $2900 sounds better, I think it's the place to go to.

I toured Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls. It was okay. I liked that it was there for people who need it, but very much a hospital vibe, sort of drab. The staff was nice. I had someone touring me. They were okay. Everyone was nice. This was not somewhere I wanted to send someone that I care about. If I needed somewhere last minute and I needed to, then I would send the, but it wouldn't be my ideal place. The community wasn't lively. There weren't a lot of people around. Everyone was just sort of independent and just sort of in their room. So you couldn't even see how interactive the community was or if it was an interactive community. They have an activity room, a kitchen, and a place to eat. They have a courtyard, but it doesn't seem like the amenities were that amazing compared to the other places I like.

I went to the Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls to look at their independent living. I liked the place. It looked like a big hotel with very friendly people. It's also very clean. I didn't see any activities, the residents were just watching TV. The staff who I talked to was good.

Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls was my first visit. I didn't know what to expect, so I was open to whatever I saw. It was a shock to me because I've been living in a one-bedroom for so long. Then I went to see the studio and I think the guy showed me a two bedroom also (I don't need a two bedroom) and for me, I expected a little more as far as space is concerned. It sort of made me feel claustrophobic. I didn't like that when I looked out the window, all I saw were streets and cars, and I didn't want that. The neighborhood is fine. The dining room was fine. There is a cafeteria or something like that. There was one person who was in the dining area watching TV.

We went to Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls. We loved it, but the price was too high for us. But it was so clean and so nice. It's a beautiful facility. Everything was well-kept. I liked that the floors were clean, and the rooms were maintained. It was a nice community, but it was too independent from my father-in-law. The dining room was beautiful. They had a nice table and nice chairs. It's also like their social room. It was very clean. They had a nice garden. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very informative. The doors in the rooms were very wide and each room had a different doorknob like a bird, an anchor, or a butterfly. So they customized them for the residents. We wish my father-in-law could have done that, but he's beyond that level of independence. He needs more assistance.

We toured Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls. The staff was pretty helpful. It's a nice location, and the rooms were pretty nice, spacious, and very clean. I basically only interacted with the receptionist. She was nice, and the lady who gave us the tour, Pamela, was very nice, very patient, and she took her time explaining what goes on around the community. She was a great person. If my dad lived there, I feel like he would be in good hands being around people who do care about what they're doing.

I toured Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls. The rooms were very nice. They were just renovating everything, so things were torn up really a lot. The lunch room was very small. The people weren't very friendly or invited you to sit with them or anything, they kind of just let you go. The food was good. The staff was nice.

We toured Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls. From what I saw, my mother will be staying in her own room, and that made me a little nervous. I would prefer her to share a room or not be alone so much. The staff was nice. The people were nice. The building was fine, but not too many people were around. It seemed like it was vacant, but everything was clean and appropriate. The atmosphere was a little bit cold and empty. It wasn't like you walk into an activity.

I toured Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls. It's nice. It's one single unit and it has a big old picture window. What I like about that place also, they have a dining room downstairs to where all of the meals are being cooked and prepared, and that's the cool part. They also have transportation for seniors that don't have any means to get around. That was a good one, too. The staff was very friendly, answered all of my questions above and beyond, and gave me some ideas on me getting back and forth to work. He really, really was trying to go above and beyond to try to make sure that I was well taken care of. There were no questions that he couldn't answer.

What I liked the least about Bay Towers at Bixby Knolls was the other fees that are not included in the regular rent. It's going to make it hard for us to be able to afford it because of the add-on fees. The apartments were beautiful. They have two common areas that are nice. They have two patio areas outside where you can go and just sit out and relax, and get some air. Their kitchen area was nice. It was really clean where the residents have dinner and have meals. It was very, very nice and very clean. Then there was the library. It was nice, too. They have nail sessions where they come out and they do the individual's nails. The elevators work really well. It smelled nice there. It smelled like a building and not like a nursing home. It didn't have the stench of cleaning fluid or urine. It was nice. We would love for our mom to be there. It's just the price is not going to allow us to have her there.

It had no green space around because it was located right in the middle of town. It's a 14-stories tall tower, and there was no way to open a window on any of the units. It was all large glass windows with blinds, but no fresh air. You've got a beautiful view of downtown Long Beach, but it was an older complex. It had a nice dining room and patio, but you had to come all the way down to the basement to do your laundry.

I like it here very much. The food is good, and the dining room is really pleasant to eat in. The big lobby area entrance is such a nice feel when you walk in. All the residents are happy; everybody knows each other. There are 160 residents. There is a shuttle that takes them to go shopping and trips.

I chose here and they have wonderful apartments with a full kitchen, which is the the main reason I'm moving there. It's a wonderful facility. When you walk in, you get a feeling of peace and warmth. It's just perfect. They have two buildings, one for independent living apartments and across the courtyard are facilities for those who require care. My overall impression is one of peace, serenity, and friendliness. Everyone is extremely friendly. The person who showed me around called everybody by their first name, and he knew every person we came in contact with. It was just a very warm and wonderful community. The food was well-prepared and tasty, and they had a very nice dining room with very nice service. You can be served if you're not able to go to the cafeteria line.

My mother was a resident here. They had great staff. It was a fantastic place, and she enjoyed everything about it. It was a great place for independent people that want to retire, get rid of their responsibilities, and just sit back and enjoy the meals. They had lots of activities and exercises.
