"Westmont of Cypress is brand new. At the time that I went there, only about 50+ people were living there, and I think they could handle a little over 100. So, a lot of the activities haven't started yet, because there weren't enough people to go with some of this stuff, but they have meeting places for them such as the theater and a bar area. I went with two friends and we were invited for lunch, which was lovely. It's a restaurant-style dining with open seating and a huge menu. The food was delicious and the staff was very, very pleasant. The apartment was a little bit bigger and it's kind of nice and all spanking new."

"I am a resident here at Sunrise of Seal Beach. The food is very good, and the activities are well planned and they do a good job at it. The staff is excellent. They are very thoughtful and very kind. We have lectures, travel activities, and lots of other stuff."

We are located in a quiet cul-de-sac location in Cypress. Our home is close to Senior Citizen Center, church, schools, parks and restaurants. Once a month, we treat our clients to IHOP and other restaurants. We celebrate all occasions with dancing, good food and karaoke. We have a live-in staff for 24/7. Our staff are well trained and fingerprinted. They are very loving and compassionate. Residents are very much treated like our own family. "We toured here, it is a very nice facility. It's a nice old historic building, and they've done a very nice job remodeling the entire interior of the building to a modern configuration. They have studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments. Each floor has a different kind of care, and each floor has got a central social area that's nice with its own little cafe, a dining room, and a main kitchen. There was onsite nursing and it was a full-term facility. The person who gave the tour was very professional, very nice, and extremely informative. We've observed the people doing a social activity on one of the floors. there was a rooftop garden with a nice view and a library, and the lower level of the building had a gym that they can use for physical therapy. The people were mostly individualized. The person who gave the tour was really friendly and the tour was very good."

"The tour I had at Coral Oaks Care Living was decent. The staff was very friendly. They were really good with what they needed to do. I did not care for the facility as much though. I felt it to be outdated, and it had more of a hospital feeling to it. It seemed a little outdated from what other living situations were. The rooms were OK. It's more of the environment that everyone's in. So, they can't really move anywhere else besides the rooms. There weren't really facilities to go anywhere, and then their outdoor facilities were very basic. It was just a concrete patio and a wall around them. I understand that it is winter, but there were no plants. I could see there would be nothing to do, and if I was there and I was elderly, I would be bored out of my mind. I believe their rooms were shared or one room. It's like a hospital room setting where you can have one room for yourself or you can have two and you share. It's OK because you pay a little bit less for that. The reason I'm also listing it as a three is because they have a salad bar that they offer at all times of the day. You can just come over and get some potato salad, macaroni salad, and stuff. It was 11:00 when I went to go to see this facility, and it looked like they were out the day before, and then they put it back out. I would not eat it, and I would not have my father eat it. Nevertheless, the staff was willing to answer any questions. They showed me everything I needed to. They were going to work with me on all my dad's issues that he had."

"I'm leaning towards Integrity Guest Home. The tour was wonderful. Kathy gave us the tour, she's the owner, and she did great. She showed us a room, and everything was clean. The clients were sitting there watching TV. They seemed very peaceful. She did have a little backyard with a little patio where they could go sit outside, and when you go visit, they could sit outside there, too. It was very nice. It was a very tranquil environment. The fact that there were two caregivers made me feel comfortable. When I went to the previous one, there was only one caregiver there, and they were waiting for the second one to get there, which to me was kind of scary. They can accommodate 6 residents. There was a shared room and a private room. They said they take them outside. They have activities for them. Before COVID, they would drive them in a van to the senior center. When COVID is lifted, they will do that again."

"Among the three facilities I saw, it was the one I liked the least. The people were nice; it was just older, and it didn't have as much to offer. They were friendly, and I didn't feel like I was in a rest home kind of thing. "

"I toured Delightful Aging. It was very clean and open. Parking is the problem there but other than that, it was very clean. They had two nice ladies working there, and they're very friendly, so I didn't see any issues. There is a ramp going into the facility, and it's very open, so they could walk around. There's minimal furniture and it's not cluttered."
