"We were interested in Morningside Adult Day Health Care because it was convenient for me to visit from where I was working. The people were very friendly. They had activities like bingo, arts, dancing, and field trips to museums, the mall, and some casinos. The staff was very friendly, very informative and very warm. From what I saw, they had a nice sitting area outside with plants, so I could go there if they wanted to sit outside. They had an open area with a piano, where clients could sing. "

"My friend goes to South Bay Adult Care Center. It's really awesome, incredibly affordable, and the caregivers are so kind and knowledgeable. They give them free lunch on Thursdays, snacks every day, endless coffee, tea, and anything they want. They walk over to the park and have lunch there, which is on the property. They play games, exercise, and music, and she loves it. They have a fully equipped kitchen that's open early, from 7:30 to 5:30, and it's $8 an hour. Everybody is happy there. The lady in charge is a registered nurse, and she knows how to handle different personalities."

"My mother requested to go to the center earlier than her regular schedule (9am). Instead, the driver picked her up early, drove her around town while picking up others and her arrival time to the center was still 9am. It took around half an hour longer than before to get there. After couple days being baking in the car for the whole hour while it takes around 10 minutes (yahoo map) from her house to the center she got sick mentally and physically and had to go the doctor office. She has been very upset and could not sleep the whole night the day the incident happened. The nurse (responsible in arranging the trips) explained she misunderstood that my mother would like to be in the car early? She confronted my mother in the manager office in the rude, disrespectful way that my mother was wrong to tell her a cheating person. The driver confirmed he was asked to do it by somebody from the center, it was not convenient way but it was not his own decision. The fact says it all. The center is not somebody's charity; it was paid by the government with the purpose to maintain the healthy living style for seniors not to abuse them or make them sick. Without the seniors, they all won't have those jobs. The seniors have their children, grandchildren and relatives, friends who care for them. We all should have our voices to protect our grandparents and for a better tomorrow for them, for us. Welcome all your comments. "

"My husband is going to the Memory Spa. It's very nice, they have very lovely people, it also provides hygiene, and personal grooming. The place is very efficient in the grooming portion, they cater in their food, they do exercise, games, mind games, they have a relaxing quiet room, they have television for instructional purposes, and they have social activities. They go for daily walks along the facility. It's really a nice place. I love the Memory Spa, I think they're just great people, they have a small clientele, and they don't take more than 25 people, but they feel comfortable, and at home. My husband goes once or maybe twice a week. I liked the management and caregivers."

"My husband was in daycare at Alzheimer's Family Resource Center. They had a very well-run program there. They're associated with a Hoag Hospital. They catered just to Alzheimer's patients and they were really knowledgeable. They did a good job with my husband. They had social workers that actually cared about the individuals. They had lots of engaging activities. They charged $95 a day but at that time, they had grants that would pay for the transportation. I never used that but it was certainly nice to have available. "

"I love the Sibi Center because they have a professional and caring staff. I love the fact that Sibi Center is conscientious about the care of their participants. I love the support and activities that are provided. I would recommend this Center to anyone in need of a great professional supportive staff and supervision for their loved ones. "

"SBSS has been in business for over 100 years but in the last few years it has expanded and added a rich new set of programs and activities. It is particularly strong in the work it does with seniors from different cultures. It has an active adult day care program that included health screenings, exercise programming and memory training. The staff and volunteers speak a number of languages and are exceedingly knowledgeable and friendly. One of the neat new programs is the cyber cafe - largely staffed with volunteers that allows seniors to learn and use the computer. "
