"My mother has moved into Santee Elderly Care. It is excellent. The atmosphere is very clean, healthy, and open, and there are lots of conversation. The staff is very helpful. Her room is comfortable. They have indoor and outdoor activities. They're next to a golf course and they watch the golfers, they have hummingbirds and butterflies, dogs visit, musicians entertain them, and they do arts and crafts. They feed her and help her in the bathroom and shower when she needs it, but she's pretty independent. She likes the food. It's safe, comfortable and hospitable."

"Our son has attended La Mesa Work Center day program regularly for 9 years now. We are very happy with staff and directors and owners of the program. Our son has CP and developmental delays but he has made friends and enjoys attending every day. They are consistent in care and very respectful toward their consumers at LMWC. There's plenty of room for wheelchairs/equipment, etc. and good socialization at the center. Our son is happy & well cared for. He and our family are still very pleased after 9 years! "

"My wife has been going to their Hillcrest facility since May of this year, and the staff has been terrific. Very caring and patient. As a not-for-profit organization, they are not a "bottom line" focused center, and their fees are reasonable. They offer support groups for caregivers and understand the strain that the family is under while caring for a memory impaired loved one. "

"I thought that Morningside of Fullerton was extremely receptive and open to suggestions. The staff was quite good. They provide detailed information to a lot of my questions. I was not able to eat there, but I think their dining room looked good. They have just about everything the residents need. "

"The only place I know that could actually handle highly disruptive and agitated behaviors that won't ship you out the door is Silverado Senior Living. My husband went there. I had enough experience about it to know that even if I had to drive 65 miles one way a day or stay down there, it was worth it for my peace of mind. My husband was there for about 20 days. It's the most expensive facility that I know of. At first I was questioning if the extra money would equate into that high of a quality of service, but now having been there, I can say that it was worth every penny. The facility was excellent. The care was fantastic and very attentive. Everything they promised they do, they did. The staff was highly friendly, cooperative, caring and compassionate. I would also say that I suspect that all of their facilities are of equal excellence. They had a philosophy by their founders that love is greater than fear and they treat each patient with compassion, care and kindness that is unsurpassed from what I could see. "

"My dad moved into Sungarden Terrace Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's a great place, and what's nice about it is it has a piano in the memory care area. That was important to me for my father because a lot of places have pianos, but they're in the assisted living area. And so, the fact that they have one in memory care is a huge plus. It is a very nice place. The staff is excellent. I've tried their food and it's excellent. Everything about this place is great. I like it. Everything is clean. The layout is very nice and very simple to understand. They have an outdoor walking area around the memory care. Every day, they have activities. They have a calendar and they're very good activities. Everything they have done is excellent. I have nothing to complain about. They've really helped me. The best part is they're affordable."

"My sister goes to the Gary and Mary West facility. They have done so much for us. This program allows her to stay in her home where she has been for 20 years, and it's working out wonderfully for her. They work with the Medi-Cal system. My sister was very depressed and practically suicidal. She was extremely overweight. However, since she has started going there, she has lost 40 pounds, she's happy, and she looks forward to it. Every time I talk to her, she says, 'I'm so grateful for PACE.' They're just very supportive of her, and she feels safe there. She has made friends there. They provide my sister with her basic needs. She wears Depends now, and they provide her with those. They've given her one of those buttons that you push for emergencies because she lives at home alone. If she ever has a problem, she pushes the button and immediately, they answer, and they're there to help her 24/7. I'm so thrilled for them. I have called them countless times with questions, and they're always available and always happy to help in any way they can. They're very friendly and understanding of my sister's needs. I couldn't praise them enough. They have transportation. They pick her up at 9 in the morning and take her to the facility, and she stays there until 2 or 3. She has breakfast and lunch there. They provide nice meals. If, for some reason, she can't eat the main meal that they are serving that day, they have options for people with special needs. They're very accommodating."

" My mother was living at southern highlands for approximately 8 years until she passed away recently in March 2020. My mother suffered from many medical ailments. Prior to her stay at southern highlands, my mother lived alone in a two bedroom apartment. She was isolated and was hospitalized several times through out the year. That changed when she moved to southern highlands. Over the years, the property manager Michelle Washington and support staff played an integral role in my mother’s stability. The vast upgrades to the complex which included connecting residents to an array of community resources helped my mother stay engaged with the community . She began connecting with other agencies, people and getting the support she needed to complete daily tasks with as much independence as possible. I want to thoroughly thank Michelle Washington, southern highlands and associated staff for their support. My mother is resting in peace and I’m eternally grateful to you all! I highly recommend southern highlands independent living "

"I was very impressed with this Alzheimer's day-care facility in Chula Vista. Although I only drove my client to and from this place for day care, she would tell me about how her day was and specific things that took place. When I brought my client inside, they would always greet her by name and ask her if she needed anything in particular as soon as she walked inside. It was also very affordable for her family to have the daycare facility take care of her during work hours - much more affordable than an assisted living facility would have been. At night, I would drive her back to her family's home when they arrived back from work. They even mentioned how she seemed much happier after she spent the day here. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone needing adult day care in the Chula Vista area. "

Fallbrook is a nice place; it just doesn’t fit my need. Dad enjoyed himself there and liked it. They have activities to do, and it’s comfortable.
