"I toured Delightful Aging. It was very clean and open. Parking is the problem there but other than that, it was very clean. They had two nice ladies working there, and they're very friendly, so I didn't see any issues. There is a ramp going into the facility, and it's very open, so they could walk around. There's minimal furniture and it's not cluttered."

We are located in a quiet cul-de-sac location in Cypress. Our home is close to Senior Citizen Center, church, schools, parks and restaurants. Once a month, we treat our clients to IHOP and other restaurants. We celebrate all occasions with dancing, good food and karaoke. We have a live-in staff for 24/7. Our staff are well trained and fingerprinted. They are very loving and compassionate. Residents are very much treated like our own family. "Oakmont of Whittier was pretty nice. I liked the cleanliness of the facility and the way all the amenities are being provided. It's also pretty well maintained. The courtyard was kind of small though. So, if the residents want to walk around, it's just a little circle. Compared to the ones that we've seen, this was the most expensive one, and the rooms were not that big for the price, but the staff was incredible. From the time we entered the building, everyone was so welcoming."

"They were very nice and very hospitable at Brookdale Central Whittier, but they did not have memory care. I did not actually tour the whole facility, but the manager asked me to come to her office, and she went online and got ten directories for me to follow up with. I thought she really went out of her way. "

"I couldn't have found a better place for my Mom. The staff there is wonderful. They took such great care of my Mom until she passed away. I would highly recommend this facility. It is more like a home environment than a care facility. Each resident has a spacious room and you can decorate it how you choose. My Mom enjoyed the ladies at her dining table and the food was good. Every time I visited the home they treated me like family and was truly so beautiful to see such an amazing staff care for someone I love so much. I would recommend this over many retirement homes in the area. I toured most of them and Posada was the best fit I found by a long shot. "

"The Westmont of Cypress is well divided for different seniors and what their needs are. The food is five-star, and the help is very friendly and very professional. The ones that run it have done a great job to get us signed in and, at a time when we were tight on schedules, they made it happen with the medical field and all the paperwork they needed, and they got my mom in when I needed it. I was very pleased with the whole management of Westmont. The rooms, depending on if you're getting a suite or a single, are beautiful. They're new, they're spotless, kept up weekly, with cleaning services and so forth. It's all very nice. The memory care side has two large buildings split into different needs. My mom is in the memory care building, which has a different number but is still a part of Westmont, right in the same center. For activities, they have walking, games, movies, birthday parties, and different holidays they celebrate with the people there. I'm new at it, so I couldn't say much more right now, but it's got a lot of different classes. They give them DIY projects and little games to play like cards and so forth. Mom is not too active in her memory to do some of the activities but walking, and I think puzzles. They work with her a little bit for memory and recognition with cards and pictures. I think she's limited, as some are. The food is of very good quality, we're very pleased with it, and she's getting 3 meals a day there. They have amenities, but in my mom's memory site, I'm sure some are limited. The other side has a pool and weight rooms. I think the memory one is more on games and walking exercises. The games are to keep their mind sharper. It is a memory care building, so they're not doing other things that could be dangerous to them. The staff is very kind, very professional, gives good information, they're right on top of everything for me, and gives me lots of calls. The price is average for everyone. There are newer facilities which, when you start comparing them with this one, the prices here are within the comfortable rate. All 10 that I interviewed with are within a couple thousand of each other, and this being the newest and more updated, I thought it was very fair."

"The tour I had at Coral Oaks Care Living was decent. The staff was very friendly. They were really good with what they needed to do. I did not care for the facility as much though. I felt it to be outdated, and it had more of a hospital feeling to it. It seemed a little outdated from what other living situations were. The rooms were OK. It's more of the environment that everyone's in. So, they can't really move anywhere else besides the rooms. There weren't really facilities to go anywhere, and then their outdoor facilities were very basic. It was just a concrete patio and a wall around them. I understand that it is winter, but there were no plants. I could see there would be nothing to do, and if I was there and I was elderly, I would be bored out of my mind. I believe their rooms were shared or one room. It's like a hospital room setting where you can have one room for yourself or you can have two and you share. It's OK because you pay a little bit less for that. The reason I'm also listing it as a three is because they have a salad bar that they offer at all times of the day. You can just come over and get some potato salad, macaroni salad, and stuff. It was 11:00 when I went to go to see this facility, and it looked like they were out the day before, and then they put it back out. I would not eat it, and I would not have my father eat it. Nevertheless, the staff was willing to answer any questions. They showed me everything I needed to. They were going to work with me on all my dad's issues that he had."

"I'm leaning towards Integrity Guest Home. The tour was wonderful. Kathy gave us the tour, she's the owner, and she did great. She showed us a room, and everything was clean. The clients were sitting there watching TV. They seemed very peaceful. She did have a little backyard with a little patio where they could go sit outside, and when you go visit, they could sit outside there, too. It was very nice. It was a very tranquil environment. The fact that there were two caregivers made me feel comfortable. When I went to the previous one, there was only one caregiver there, and they were waiting for the second one to get there, which to me was kind of scary. They can accommodate 6 residents. There was a shared room and a private room. They said they take them outside. They have activities for them. Before COVID, they would drive them in a van to the senior center. When COVID is lifted, they will do that again."

"Brookdale Uptown Whittier was very nice and very pleasant. I think it would be a place that my sister would like if she were able to participate in all the amenities. They had a wonderful dining room. The food looked wonderful. I saw the studio and a little suite where two people share one bath and a kitchenette. That was very nice too because there were some people that didn't need as much space. The studio was beautiful. When I went there, people were in the dining room. I saw they had their Christmas decorations. I saw one resident had her dog. They allow pets. It was really nice. I saw the library and the dining room. They have a nice courtyard, and the garden area is very pretty. The people I talked with were wonderful. I saw the menu, and they had a display of what their choices were for meals. They have the usual type of programs in assisted living. They have trips and things that go on during the day. They have live entertainment once a week."

"Whittier Glen Assisted Living looked good, but it's not for us because we're still independent. For us, it looked kind of sad. They showed us a room and it looked clean. There's not enough parking. There's not enough place outside for people to enjoy the day or enjoy outside. The staff was really good. There were some people outside sitting and talking. We didn't see any activity. The dining area looked good, was small, but it looked clean."

The facility is a home like enviroment with caring staff and owners. All the rooms are private rooms and spacious.
