"My husband has been a resident in the memory care unit since it opened in the fall of 2019. His sister was a resident at the assisted living facility since the fall of 2018 and moved into the memory care unit this spring. They have been happy there. The staff is friendly and attentive and enjoy my husband’s sense of humor. The staff lead and participate with the residents in art projects and cards among other activities. The staff work well together and are willing to help. They call me as needed if there is an issue and put my husband or sister in law on the phone as necessary. The rooms are clean and kept organized. They have a health care professional trim their toenails monthly for a small fee which is much appreciated. We love walking around the grounds, it’s easy to push my husband in a wheelchair and we see other residents using walkers. We enjoy seeing the koi and seeing and hearing the waterfalls and the variety of flowers which attract butterflies. My sister in law meets friends from the other facility before and after meals and they enjoy talking together. "

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assistance: we provide hands-on help with personal care tasks that residents can no longer safely or effectively perform on their own, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation (moving around). Medication Management Support: Under direction, we ensure residents take their medications accurately and on schedule, monitoring for any side effects or issues. Safety and Health Monitoring: we are the frontline observer, consistently monitoring residents' physical and mental status, reporting any significant changes (like signs of illness, falls, or emotional distress) to nursing staff or management. Promoting Independence: We encourage and allow residents to do as much for themselves as possible, promoting remaining skills and enhancing self-worth and independence.

"Westmont of Cypress was really nice. It's a new facility that just opened up. The rooms are nice. The staff members are nice. They showed me their lunch and dinner menu, and they offer a variety. The location is good because my sister lives close by. They showed me their daily activities. They have a movie theater and a room where they hold their activities. There were outside grounds that had a swimming pool that was gated, and barbecue areas. I saw the studio because that's what I was interested in, and it was nice-sized. I like what they offer."

"It was a very clean place. The food was great. The pastries and the dessert were fine. The rooms were huge, and that's a plus. Regarding the staff, they were very friendly people. They have a lot of activities. They even have a computer room which nobody else has. They have lots of other amenities. It was a very beautiful place. I would recommend this place to anybody. I was really impressed with the building and the food. The room looked like a home. From the outside, it didn't look like an apartment. There was lots of room. "

"It was very nice. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about it. I like the facility and location. Everything was clean. I met a few staff members, and they were all very nice. They had a gym, library, movie room, dining room, garden, and courtyard."

"I visited Emerald Court. Their staff was very friendly, and she took me on a tour. The reason why I visited them first is because this is closer to the house where I used to live. Also, about 20 years ago, my in-law was there for spending two months in the wintertime, so, I knew of them. When I went there, everything was clean and so nice. Pricewise it is very reasonable and not that high if I compare it with other places. The room I was interested in was a one-bedroom. They have three meals provided, and the kitchen is small, but I understand why it is small. Also, I saw their calendar and they have something every day. It's very attractive there too. My English is limited and the staff who talked to me the first time understood me and was very patient with me. She explained everything slowly and patiently. I was so impressed with her business attitude. Also, I told my friends who are my age about them, and then they wanted to see the inside, so I went there a couple of times with my friends. Each time, they offer lunch and something to eat, so that's the best. We had a sandwich, it was good. I asked a resident at that time if they liked the food, they were Asians, and they said the food was Western type. Because of their food program, their food has less salt, and that's why not everybody is satisfied with it, but I understand. The facility is clean everywhere and everybody is so friendly, even the staff and the caregivers."

"We picked Rowntree Gardens for my mom because it's a very lovely place. It's clean, smells nice, and has lovely colors. The rooms are very nice. They have activities for the seniors. The residents arefriendly and talk to us, and the people who work there are nice and helpful. The marketing person that we've been dealing with isn't always as knowledgeable as we think she should be, but we were able to get the answers to our questions. It's very nice and the food is wonderful, and so far we're happy."

"I went to Walnut Village. It was a very nice facility. The people working there seemed to be doing well. They were very, very nice. The surroundings were very, very nice. They have a very wide variety of activities. They have an indoor pool and swimming activities. They have exercise programs and reading programs. Walnut Village was a very nice facility. "

"It looked nice. It's a little bit smaller than I'm used to seeing, but that wasn't a bad thing. It was just different. It seemed very clean and bright. The residents seemed to enjoy living there. I met just a couple of staff, but they all seemed very kind. I saw their exercise room, their dining area, and their crafts area. It was very clean. They're in the midst of a renovation, so they had some stuff still around."

"Pacific inn was a very nice place. I would love to live there myself. It was a nicely decorated place. The rooms were nice and clean. But I thought they were very expensive. "

"I liked CityViewVilla the best because it had a nice feel to it and the staff I met was very friendly. Everything was contained on one floor, and the room I picked for my mom was a nice size, and it opened up to a big patio. They had a beautiful rooftop terrace and a nice activity area. They said they keep the people busy, had physical activity, and everything was included. It was well priced. "

"I posted a review a couple of years back and I have to say that the Assistant Managers that I referred to as not being very helpful have moved on and that the Managers Eileen and Paul are exceptional Eileen is loving and caring and has great communication skills. My mom is still there at 95 and they are extremely accommodating. I feel very blessed to have found Scholl Canyon."
