Keeping in mind that satisfying the needs of 100 residents can be a daunting task, this place does a pretty good job of it. Generally speaking, the staff is thoughtful. While the accommodations are not deluxe, they are adequate. Towels and sheets are clean and nearly always available to residents as needed. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided, and there is an alternative menu offered if the resident doesn't like or can't eat what is offered. The community offers transportation with advance notice. There are organized activities during the week, although I don't think too many residents attend. The residents vary in age, not necessarily a senior living facility. There are a few fast food type restaurants that can be reached by walking. Also, I believe the facility will leave off and pick up those residents who are inclined to visit some of the retail stores on Long Beach Blvd. It is possible to reach these places on foot. The caring staff includes caregivers (there could be more!), housekeeping, janitorial services and kitchen cooks and servers. There is a doctor and dentist who visit regularly and whose services are available to a resident if so desired. Hopefully these comments help in your decision making!

My relative was a resident there. The staff was very helpful and caring. I can not tell you how grateful I was for the support that was given, especially by the administrator, Aaron. He went beyond the call of duty to offer assistance and to make sure that both resident and family felt supported. Thank you very much Highland Manor!
