"It was very nice. It was very clean. They just remodeled it. The person that showed me around was awesome. I like that facility. Barbara was our host. She was awesome, very knowledgeable, and very in tune with the patients or members of the community. There were a lot of activities for the members. They have a backup generator, which I thought was unique and different."

"Brighton Gardens has some beautiful facilities in a very convenient location right off of Route 22. It is located in a wonderful, wooded environment and plenty of programs are available to those that are staying at the facility. After touring and participating in many events located at the facility over the years, I can attest to the high quality of living that I would be extremely happy to have the honor of receiving when its my turn to participate in assisted living. One example of the many programs available at Brighton Gardens is the new spring flower planting course, which happens to be run by a local Eagle Scout hopeful. In the class, those living at the facility will learn how to plant and take care of spring flowers in their own, hand-built planters with a team of experienced instructors. All in all, Brighton Gardens is a place I would feel safe leaving any one of my family members, including my very own parents and myself."

"My mom will move into Juniper Village at Chatham. I think it is beautifully done, and the care in the community seems exceptional. The facility itself is designed to be as homelike as possible. It is not too large which is better. There are only about a hundred people in the facility, and I find it to be a warm and caring environment. It is beautifully decorated. It has wonderful public places and has lots of areas like reading room that are nicely decorated for people to sit and relax. They have something that my mother is interested in. They have a form of yoga and book clubs, and these are the things that she is interested in. They have some people who come in and give lectures, and she is interested in that as well. We have very good feedback that the food is excellent, and indeed my mother says that the food is wonderful. "

"My mother was at Brighton Gardens of Edison. It was nice. She got good care and stuff like that. My mother is not a very outgoing person, but she did things with some other people. I basically needed some place for her to stay and someplace where she would be safe being that I was going away. The staff was good. My mother fell when she was there, and they took care of everything. They took her for an X-ray, and they had the doctor look at her and everything like that. And they notified me right away and stuff, so it was good that way. I was very pleased with that. I saw a few of their activities and they were really good. My mother was working with beads or something. And they had everybody in one room and a lady there was singing songs that the people from that generation knew. Everybody was singing along, and it was really nice because everybody was involved in it. It was a lot of money though, that's why I can't do that again."

"I am so grateful to Sunrise of Summit and the team. Mom and I researched many places and Summit Sunrise felt most like home. Mom is very independent , creative, fun and an amazing artist and oftentimes shy to display her work. Sunrise created an art show featuring mom and other resident artists. The champagne event was well attended and was a huge boost to Mom who is looking forward to the next opportunity to display her work and collaborate with like minded residents. Mom has blossomed socially and smiling all the time Prior to Sunrise, Mom lived alone and then with me and especially with COVID, was feeling understandably very isolated. I could have never imagined how important it was to be with a community of peers and social opportunities. Because the community is new, her apartment is modern and chic-just like Mom. The staff maintains her room and does laundry etc which Mom loves (I did not think she would). I can’t thank the staff and community enough for creating such a wonderful environment for Mom Mom has her tribe!"

"Forget the cold, dreary and bleak world of nursing homes. This place is cozy. The facilities are in a very quiet area, which is a great environment for providing palliative elderly care. The staff I met with were extremely friendly and willing to answer my multitudes of questions. They were extremely patient, which was a great sign considering my loved one's declining brain function. The reason we visited was to check out options for my loved one. This place eased some of our fears about assisted living, and definitely gave us a standard to hold other facilities up to. We ended up not using this facility only for its distance from our family, otherwise we would have definitely had our loved one here. However, everybody is different, so definitely look at a facility with your own eyes to determine if a place is right for your family member or friend. All in all, this place was nice! "

"Spring Hills Somerset seems to be a superior operation. The place is extraordinarily well taken care of and well decorated much more like a personal residence. Their food is extraordinary, too. The staff seems nice. You can't tell about the staff until you got someone there and you see them working; however, you can see how neat and how nicely decorated the place is, and how well kept and clean it is. You can see that just on visiting. They are expensive, but their list of available activities was extensive and widely varied."

"This is an expensive but well-maintained and competently-run facility largely populated by well-heeled, demanding residents with no shortage of petty complaints. The rooms are nice, if small, and the food is very good. There is an abundance of activities and trips, and the staff is kind and energetic. "

"I had the opportunity to visit Delaney at the Green during their Grand Opening celebration. The warmth welcome of the management teams and staffs made the guest feels at home. I'm was so impressed with independent living units/apartment. Each unit offers unique layout with state of the art amenities. The units are perfect for seniors who demand perfection. The lobby is so welcoming and truly represent a high end senior's living. facility. "

"Heritage of Clara Barton was a clean, beautifully decorated, and attractive facility. The staff members were very kind and good people to have around you if you need them. On the downside, it was a much more restricted life than we are currently living, and it may be necessary if one needs a lot of help in one's living accommodation. But for us, it would be a big, big downsize in our lifestyle, and we wouldn't want to make it, and we're forced to. The staff did a fabulous job. Their dining room was very attractive. The facility was clean, modern, well kept, in good condition, and most importantly, no smells. To be honest, it was pretty institutional. I don't think that's avoidable. I looked at their monthly planner showing the daily activity, and it was very impressive. I mean, all sorts of things are going on. They have physical activities for those capable of it. They have games and bingo. And that was a big plus."

"The only thing I didn't like was the shared part of the apartments. I don't think it would work out for my mother. They had a calendar of activities, but I didn't see any activities going on while I was there. They had a therapy room, but that was basically it. The staff members were pretty nice."

"The home looks beautiful, completely new, and cozier then i could have ever imagined. Luckily, the town of Florham Park is close to my home making it an easy trip for visits. I actually use to play baseball there. It is a friendly town and this is shown through the quality and attitude of the workers at Wynwood. All of the nurses and various other staff were extremely friendly which is a quality falling by the way side more and more. My aunt claimed to love the facility, the rooms, even how she was taken care of in terms of food and dining. It was an overall warm and genuine experience. One aspect that worries me some was the traffic out front of Wynwood. The home is on a busy stretch of road. Not only is it an eye sore, but the traffic was horrendous the day my aunt, my mother and I went to visit. Hopefully this was only a rare experience of heavy traffic and this home is not constantly bombarded with transportation noise. The price is right and the location is great considering how close it is to my home. Also, there are three extremely high quality hospitals only 5 minutes away which allows my aunt as well as my family good peace of mind. This assisted living home is a real keeper. "

"I liked Emeritus at Hillsborough. It was a very nice facility, but the location of it would be hard as there's a lot of traffic to get to the facility. I would recommend it though. "
