"It is beautiful. The staff is excellent, and everything is really good. The place is very nice. I have my own little apartment and that's like a hotel room with a kitchenette and big bathroom. The dining area is like you're going into really fancy dining, and they have assigned seating. They give you a menu to order off of so it's very nice."

"It was full, happy, and had a big chandelier and a big game room on the side with people playing Scrabble near the fireplace. It was a beautiful place to walk into. Your first impression is "Wow, what a great place!" The layout was fantastic, the rooms were beautiful and very much like apartments as opposed to little rooms. They're one-bedrooms with a kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The food was wonderful and made with the elderly in mind. The chef comes out and talks. When I was there, they had carolers come in whosang a lot of old songs and a few winter and Christmas songs. They were considerate of the religious groups."

"It was a very nice place. I like the atmosphere. There were a lot of reading rooms and quiet places to sit and do stuff. The staff was very nice and very friendly. I just don’t think that would be for my father, but I would have liked it."

"We were able to view Sunrise of East Brunswick, and our visit was very good. The rooms are much more spacious. They have more availability with their activities as they work with the county. They have a lot more availability with travelling and picking up residents, taking them to different activities. The staff were fabulous. They gave us a homemade apple pie and that was unbelievable -- just from visiting. It was really good. "

"My mother has moved into CareOne at East Brunswick Assisted Living. She's in memory care stage one. They have four different stages and that's what's great about that community because most of the memory care facilities, they're all together. When your mother doesn't need the memory care yet and she's in the very, very early stages, it's great, because they actually do more than the assisted living people, and they're more active. The facility is absolutely beautiful, very clean, and brand new. They have so many activities to do. They're always busy, and they're never in their rooms. The food is really good. It's all buffet style, so they can pick and choose, and they're open 24 hours for snacks and all that kind of stuff. They're very well organized. They're there at the drop of the hat. If you call them or if there are any problems, they solve them quickly. I can't say enough about them. They really got it together there. My mother loves the food. They have an ice cream parlor where they all go down and have ice cream with all the amenities that you need. It's always changing, and if you didn't like anything, you can always request something. They'll see if they can accommodate you. I wouldn't call it The Ritz, but it's decent food."

"Sunrise of Bridgewater was a beautiful place. I'd like my mother-in-law to be there. The person during the tour was very nice and very helpful. We went into the room she would be in and it's a 2-bedroom. It's one room, but it's got two beds and the bathroom is in the middle of the two beds, so you have a little privacy and it's got a little refrigerator and a little microwave. It was very nicely done. It's a brand new facility."

"I went to Brighton Gardens of Edison. I liked that it only had about 75 patients. It was not too big. And the color was good. It was bright, and I liked the patio outside. There's a beauty/barber salon. They have cards and bingo. And they have a nice little bistro where you could get iced tea and coffee all day long. The person who gave me the tour was very good. And I also liked that they introduced me to the nurses that are going to be there. That's nice. The appearance of the facility is very good. I felt comfortable."

"I went over to Heritage of Clara Barton, and I saw the 2-bedroom. It was roomy, but they had rugs on the floor, in the living room, and the bedroom. I was just uncomfortable with the rugs. The staff is very friendly and very nice. The rooms were big and clean. The only thing I did not like was the rug, and I asked them if they will replace it or take them out, and they said no. I saw the dining room, it was okay. The staff were wonderful."

"I was looking for an assisted living facility for a friend when I visited this facility. We chose this because it's convenient for my mom to visit her. They're very easy to deal with. They're accommodating and very nice. Their rooms are modern, plain and ample in size. They have a very nice and good quality dining room. The facility is clean and new. They have activities every afternoon. "

"The staff knew everybody there, and they were very friendly and very welcoming. It was very clean. The rooms had more than some of the other places I visited, like there was a microwave and a refrigerator as opposed to some of these places where you have to bring your own. My mother is there now, and they have enough activities for her where they do things, she could go back and rest in her room, and then come down later for a new activity."

"We've chosen Spring Hills Princeton for my mother, and she's moving this week. Location was a big deal. I'm very familiar with Princeton. It's not far from where I live. It's not far from where I work. So location, and convenience of my being able to get there were definitely at the top of my priorities. It's also in a beautiful area, a very beautiful facility. The staff was phenomenal. I toured their dining facility, and saw their menu. Some of the residents did come up to me and, they sort of very friendly and, they happened to mention, that they love the meals. They enjoy being there. So I'm assuming that it's pretty good. I was shown three different style rooms, a studio, one is considered like a one bedroom, and then the other is like a two bedroom, I guess, for couples. We liked the studio. We felt my mother would be fine in a smaller room, but they showed me a model of how it could be set up if I did select the studio, and made it very simple for me to get my mother to make sure she had what she needed by seeing this model. So it made it very easy for me to visualize what I need to do. They were also able to show that they have a room where they do all the arts and crafts. I know my mother in the past had enjoyed it, so I'm hoping that that would get her back to being interested. So an entire room for that with somebody who helps them do crafts and art. They have a nice, little, reading section, like a little library. I know my mother from the past enjoyed reading so that was very helpful. They also have a section where I knew she was going to need physical therapy and occupational therapy, so we did a tour of that section."

"Everything is very clean. The staff has been very helpful. My dad seems to be adjusting well to it. They have trips, movie nights, and bingo. The rooms are immaculate. The food is good."

"Brookdale Monroe - Monroe Township was fine, but it was just a little overpriced for us. Everything seemed clean. They were going through some upgrades so there was some construction going on. Other than that, everything was fine. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful. I saw some folks eating and there were also some people interacting socially and playing some games in one location. He showed us where their washing and laundry facilities were, their nursing facilities, and their haircutting/beautician place."

"The staff are very helpful - always willing to talk with me. They keep a close eye on Mom and know what she likes. The individual bedrooms are nice although they spend most of their time in the community livingroom/diningroom."
