"I had to express my appreciation to all the staff members for helping a group of Laurel Bay's residents enjoying the fireworks celebration. It was nice and lots of fun to see the fireworks. The colors were beautiful, it was nice to be part of the viewers of this Fourth of July Celebration. "

"Lincoln Park Renaissance Rehab & Nursing has been an absolute pleasure. The staff is kind and genuinely cares for their patients. The nursing staff is very attentive, well trained, and provides great care. I appreciate all they do and I'm confident that the residents are in great hands."

"My mother is at River's Edge. The staff is helpful, but understaffed on the weekend. They’re very helpful people though, and they have activities. My mother is in a shared room. The housekeeping does a good job. They clean adequately. The rooms are spacious. There are small closets. "

"My aunt is at Rehab at River's Edge. They seemed to be OK with her, she's happy, and has no complaints with being there. We really have to have a lot of contact because we are not allowed to go there. The rehabilitation people have called a lot of times to let us know what her status is, and that kind of stuff, so there's no problems. She likes the food, she's happy with the food, and she has no complaints about anything. From what I've seen I've only been in the main lobby part of it, and it's in very good condition I have never been into the rooms. They don't allow the visits."

"If you are thinking of putting a loved one in the New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater NJ, you may want to hear about my terrible experience. My father was transferred to that facility from the hospital. The facility was given time to look over his records and after that, accepted the transfer. When we arrived in his room, it was obvious that the room had not been cleaned. The toilet was filthy, there were no toiletries, the pillowcase was soiled, and the phone was also dirty. I showed it to the staff member in the room and there was very little reaction. This leads me to believe it is not unusual. That should have been a clue that this facility was not going to work out. The following day we receive a call that he was being discharged. They said he would not be eligible for services because he would not make any progress with rehab. They determined that in less than 12 hours. We wanted to know why they would not even give him a chance to improve and was given no reason. We asked to speak to someone clinical to ask why, but no one would speak with us. I left multiple messages for the rehab director to call me back, but she did not. I email her and the Administrator and neither called me, even though I said it was urgent. To this day, they still have not returned my calls or emails. Now we were faced with no time to investigate another facility. We should have been given three days noticed before they discharged him, but we were not. We had to scramble to find a facility that would take him. Based on this experience, I would not recommend that you put a loved one in this facility. If an urgent matter should arise, you cannot be sure that your issue will be addressed. This facility does not take urgent matters seriously."

"I did really well at Complete Care at Green Knoll. I was a short term patient and really improved after having the rehabilitation. The therapy staff more than included me as a part of the team. I am at a loss for words. The therapist are all professional and caring. It has been my privilege and honor to know and work with them. "

"No place will EVER be perfect. Having seen quite a few nursing homes over the years, this Bridgeway facility has been, by far, the best I have encountered. This facility is nicely laid out and decorated - and CLEAN. Nursing homes typically have "that smell". Not here. Some odors cannot be avoided, but, they are temporary; and the air in the building is not too dry or humid either. The temperature is comfortable as well. My mother resides here, and I have been very pleased with her care. ANY time there is the slightest issue with her health, the nursing department contacts me immediately. I have had some relatively minor issues with staff. I contacted the head nurse on the station, and she rectified the problem immediately. My mother is well, happy, and comfortable, and this is of most importance to me."

"CareOne at Somerset Valley was great. The room wasn't pretty or ugly but was sufficient for my mom's needs. My mom was in their assisted living for 11 months. The staff was outstanding and cared for Mom. They were concerned and tried to address all of her needs. The food was good for my taste, but it needed more seasoning. They had a lot of things going on. My mom had physical therapy and light exercise in the common room, bingo, games, and various artists coming in like musicians and magicians. They did a very good job in keeping the place."

"Fellowship did a very professional job of showing me available rooms, introducing me to staff members, showing me the amenities and a list of activities, some of which I was able to observe before admitting my Father to Memory Care"

"We liked Bridgeway Care and Rehab Center at Hillsborough very much. It was one of the newer and cleaner places. It had large windows and a high ceiling in the lobby, and it just felt very airy. The rooms were much larger than the place that my sister is in now. The bedrooms were shared and the bathroom was only shared by those 2 people. The bathroom was huge and it got a huge walk-in shower and they provided the shower chairs and the commodes to go over the toilet so that they have arms and they can stand easily. The showers have all kinds of rails in them for safety. The furniture was new and it looked very comfortable. They provided flat-screen TVs for all the residents. I've visited at times when most of the residents were in activities. So, I've seen them playing bingo and Family Feud. The schedule for the activities was extensive and they all looked so happy. They explained to us that they have a printed menu and the residents will have a choice, and it's also online. So, I can just go online and read the menu to her so she can have a choice. Their rehab facility was pretty large and it had a lot of machines."

"I had one woman whom I talked with at The Avalon at Hillsborough who was very informative. She sat down with me and talked over finances. I think it all went pretty smoothly. The place was laid out pretty nicely with a dining room set up like a nice restaurant. They seemed to have a lot of activities, a theater room, a pool table outside, and a little stand for popcorn or candies. "

"My mother-in-law was at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for three weeks. What I liked the most about them was the responsiveness of all of the staff there. They were very quick to respond whenever I called them, they answered right away, and I was not put off at all. They were just very kind and I thought that they were excellent."

"I'm very pleased with Parker at Somerset. They have a doctor and nurses constantly. My sister-in-law is getting excellent medical care. The staff has been very helpful. She's dressed every day, she eats in a little dining room with others, and I'm just very pleased with the place. I like the personnel and she's getting the care she needs. I don't have to pay for any personal products as well. They have an afternoon session where they're listening to music or doing little exercises with the mind and things like that. The place itself is very clean and well attended. They do her laundry and I got to meet the laundry staff and he was very pleasant."

"My father-in-law was in Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center. It was OK. It wasn’t as nice as the place we put them in and I don’t think that the staff was as professional, caring, and responsive. The nursing staff should probably pay attention to their patients more than they did. The cleanliness wasn’t fantastic. The food was OK."
