"The staff at Sunrise of Madison was very welcoming and professional, but my father wasn't impressed because he thought that the rooms there were very small. They had a lot of activities and everybody was very nice. The place was clean and well maintained."

"The process of finding the right place that fit my needs was overwhelming and stressful. I am so appreciative that the team at the Delaney took the time to learn about what is important to me and helped me navigate this process. I love the modern design, great outdoor space and prime location of the building but most importantly I love the flexibility of it being a rental! I look forward to moving in when they open. "

"It was very nice. The staff was very cordial and very engaging. We went during their happy hour. They had a gentleman that was singing and serenading the guests. He had some sing-a-longs. Afterwards, they served cheese, crackers, and fruit beverages. He sat and talked with the some of the residents during that time. I think my mom enjoyed the conversations there. It had a home-based atmosphere with formal dining. It was really nice. We didn't get a chance to partake in a meal or anything. They stated they had menus, where you could order from when you are seated. You have a choice of whatever is on the menu. They catered to your differences of nutritional limitations, so that was good. They had bingo and happy hour. They had scheduled activities that were posted. There were monthly trips to the mall and trips to various events around town. They said they have movie night with popcorn. The staff that gave us the tour was very helpful. What we saw was very nice. The rooms were very nice and very clean. They showed us the various options of a larger room versus smaller room. Also, there were different views from different rooms, like a nice park view from one side and then the parking lot. It was roomy, though. The rooms were very nice and had plenty of closet space to put your personal things in. You have access to a laundry room and any other things that are needed for hair care. They had a little store on the premises, if you want to buy something."

"I am so grateful to Sunrise of Summit and the team. Mom and I researched many places and Summit Sunrise felt most like home. Mom is very independent , creative, fun and an amazing artist and oftentimes shy to display her work. Sunrise created an art show featuring mom and other resident artists. The champagne event was well attended and was a huge boost to Mom who is looking forward to the next opportunity to display her work and collaborate with like minded residents. Mom has blossomed socially and smiling all the time Prior to Sunrise, Mom lived alone and then with me and especially with COVID, was feeling understandably very isolated. I could have never imagined how important it was to be with a community of peers and social opportunities. Because the community is new, her apartment is modern and chic-just like Mom. The staff maintains her room and does laundry etc which Mom loves (I did not think she would). I can’t thank the staff and community enough for creating such a wonderful environment for Mom Mom has her tribe!"

"In my experience, Brighton Gardens is a wonderful facility. Anytime I go visit my grandmother she is very happy to be there. She is in the Alzheimer unit so many of the patients are difficult to deal with but the staff is always pleasant and very patient with everyone. The facility is always clean and the furniture, appliances, etc. are new looking and functional. They always seem to have activities going on that many residents participate in and because my grandmother has only slight dementia, they will often take her from the Alzheimers unit and bring her to the activities out in the common area. The building itself is so pleasant looking and looks like an actual house with wonderful landscaping. I like how there is always someone at the front desk to monitor the residents comings and goings and the dog they have up front is extremely friendly. I know my grandmother loves him! The one thing I would improve upon would be the odor in the Alzheimers unit. Sometimes the wing smells a little like urine which I understand can be hard to fix because many of the residents in there are incontinent. I only mention is because it is the one thing I can think of that I am not 100% satisfied with. I am very happy having my grandmother there. So many people seem to have horror stories about assisted living establishments but I think the staff and facilities at the Florham Park Brighton Gardens are great. "

"My aunt already moved to Brighton Gardens of Mountainside. I just think that they're very, very nice. The people can't be more helpful with things, especially for me. They're just, all around, a perfect fit for her. They are all very lovely and they're all very friendly. They have a lot of great activities that they do. They have some things that women like. They do nails and they'll have a hairstylist come in. They do travel out to different stores. And when they're in, they do different kinds of games and you win little prizes. So, she's very happy with that."

"My parents moved into Brookdale Senior Living (Brookdale Florham Park) in March. I found it because it was near my house. It’s a nice place with very nice nurses and workers. The best part for me is the location. The community is very clean. It is an adjustment for my parents, but the management is very accommodating try to do what they can to make you happy. They were actually one of the more flexible ones as far as working with you on negotiating the price. The nurses are very hands-on. The one thing negative is that the nurses are not there all of the time. There’s people all of the time, but you don’t have 24-hour nursing, RN or LPN staff. After 7 p.m. until the morning, I think the person in charge is a medtech, not a nurse. So far, we haven’t had any issues. It is a nice community. There are all kinds of different doctors that come to the facility. My parents are in a nice studio room that's in perfect shape. The kitchen is really modern and decently sized, the bathroom is big with a walk-in shower. The room might be a little on the smaller side, but it is very clean and the carpet is brand new. The room looks new, but the place itself is a little dated. The carpet and some of the furniture in the common room are a little dated, too. "

"We went to tour. This place was smaller and more compact, but it was very clean. I think it might be only five years old. The lady that gave us the tour, Amanda, was very nice and very pleasant. She was very helpful and explained everything. The rooms had a common area, a small kitchenette, a living room, and two bedrooms. So you would have to share the common area with somebody else because they would be in the other bedroom. And they were very, very small. You would just have the necessities that you take with you. You couldn't take a whole bedroom set and put it in there. The only thing you could put in there would be a bed and a dresser and maybe a small chair, and that's it. The closets are small. You cannot put a lot of clothes in there. I saw the dining area, which was very clean and the tables were set nicely, but I did not have any food. They have a calendar of activities, and each day is different. They have arts and crafts, movies, and light aerobics. They have a special room where they give you physical therapy. I think they have a company that comes in and does physical and speech therapy."

"Sunrise is much closer to my mother's doctors and our family members. I'm sure Sunrise's services were good and the staff was nice but the place was just too expensive. "

"I found that Spring Hills Somerset is a very good place. It was a very positive visit. I felt that the staff was very nice. In general, it was all very nice, and for me it was convenient. They do offer a lot of activities, but I know their memory care activities are limited. I just felt that they would give my husband the best care possible. The spokesperson that was there was very friendly and very helpful. The place is very cheerful looking. There's a lot of ground where people can walk and be safe. It's a nice looking, well-kept place. Of all the places that I've looked at, this facility would probably give my husband the best care. "

"The Sunrise Assisted Living Facility of Westfield, New Jersey is a welcoming home for its members and the like. The architecture and the bright landscape that envelops the home secures a sense of safeness and camaraderie between the employees and those living there. Not only does the facility feature up-to-date activities to occupy the time, such as lavish pool tables and flat screen televisions, but the home regularly invites those from the Girl Scout Troop to have conversations with the elderly. The entire atmosphere of Sunrise promotes a sense of love and caring, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of an assisted living facility. "

"When I was first presented the opportunity of visiting an assisted-living facility I was hesitant. I was not very familiar with old people and I was nervous having to deal with them. However my fears were quickly assuaged by the staff of Sunrise and Randolph. These people were truly the kindest, most caring people I had ever met in my life. Assisted-living communities often get a bad wrap by the media as places that people send the elderly just because they don't want to care for them. This could not be further from the truth because the people at Sunrise of Randolph took such good care of the guest there that I would have no problem sending my parents or a member of my family there. Another thing that I really liked about Sunrise Randolph were the facilities. The place was extremely clean, and had a very homey feel. Moreover, the food at Sunrise Randolph was excellent! I would highly recommend this assisted-living community to anyone that was looking for one. "

"why is there no atm or little shop for residents to get things they need. it would allow them to feel more independant. they would not have to rely on others for daily needs. place is beautiful and staff is great."
