Assisted Living Communities in Randolph, NJ

"Sycamore Living is brand new. It just opened in the spring. It's on the small side, but I don't know how many residents they have, I think it's under 50. It's modern and clean. My mother's been there for 2-1/2 weeks now. The staff is very informative, and they've been calling and keeping us posted on how my mother's doing, so the communication is very good. I guess the food is fine; I haven't heard any complaints. I like it. It's very open. My mother's in a private room, but I would know better if I was able to visit her and I was walking in the hallway. I only had a tour of the facility, so it's hard to say. It just looked very nice. It was an office building that was reconfigured to make it into a nursing home or whatever you call these facilities. They have assisted living, long-term care, and rehab. It's a large building, and it's brand new."

"I visited the information center after hearing about this lovely place from a friend. This is exactly what I had been looking for, but more beautiful than I could have imagined. The apartments are spacious and the amenities and grounds are gorgeous. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. "

"Brighton Gardens of Florham Park was very pretty, very upscale, and very clean, but it was too expensive. My friend's father is there and he loves it. It's a great place. They have a lot of activities for the seniors and some of them went to a preschool and worked there. The dining room was nice. The rooms were small and only had a little kitchenette, a bedroom with a couch, and a little table."

"The home looks beautiful, completely new, and cozier then i could have ever imagined. Luckily, the town of Florham Park is close to my home making it an easy trip for visits. I actually use to play baseball there. It is a friendly town and this is shown through the quality and attitude of the workers at Wynwood. All of the nurses and various other staff were extremely friendly which is a quality falling by the way side more and more. My aunt claimed to love the facility, the rooms, even how she was taken care of in terms of food and dining. It was an overall warm and genuine experience. One aspect that worries me some was the traffic out front of Wynwood. The home is on a busy stretch of road. Not only is it an eye sore, but the traffic was horrendous the day my aunt, my mother and I went to visit. Hopefully this was only a rare experience of heavy traffic and this home is not constantly bombarded with transportation noise. The price is right and the location is great considering how close it is to my home. Also, there are three extremely high quality hospitals only 5 minutes away which allows my aunt as well as my family good peace of mind. This assisted living home is a real keeper. "

"Juniper Village has become home to my mom and our whole family. All of the staff are caring, professional people who truly love what they do, and it shows. Our mom is receiving excellent care for her daily needs, and is busy with so many wonderful activities. The ambiance at Juniper is nurturing and welcoming, and the building and grounds are exquisite. It is truly a special place! "

"I liked Mira Vie at Montville very much out of all the ones that I've seen. It was very warm and inviting. The staff was very friendly and it pretty much had everything that my mom would need. The facilities were very, very clean. It's not a brand new facility but everything seems to be well-maintained and very spacious. The lady who gave the tour was very good, too."

"Mom went back to Paragon Village and she is at the assisted living area right now. She was previously there in their independent living facility. We decided to move her back after her rehabilitation because she is familiar with the surrounding and has gained friends already. We are really pleased with the staff, the food, and the services at Paragon Village. Everyone was very helpful. I think it's a top notch place. "

"My uncle is already in assisted living here. We just like the atmosphere. The staff members are very attentive, and they'll call you for everything. The food is very good. They do activities with them, and they take them on trips. There's a washer and dryer, a microwave, and a refrigerator in the room. They have a courtyard, too."

"Spring Hills has exceptional activities staff. Speaking as a family member of a resident in the memory care section, known as Spring Cottage, I can say that the activities staff are incredible. They provide physical activity such as chair yoga and group exercise, as well as involve the Spring Cottage residents in events, BBQs, and other activities held in the community. They are really incredible at keeping them engaged! Well done."

"For anyone who needs to find QUALITY care for their loved one in the West Essex / northern NJ area, please - for the sake of your loved one AND you - just go straight to Green Hill. My father was neglected and almost died in another area facility. He was transferred to Green Hill and is doing so much better. They know how to deal with dementia patients - with dignity, respect and true medical care, even during this year of pandemic. The staff is considerate and friendly, the food is good, and their standards during the pandemic are at par with hospital level - and I know, because my husband works at a hospital. The facility looks like, and we learned, was a former hotel/respite site during the 1940s. The inside is spacious, and with social distancing, that's a GOOD thing. My father is limited in his activity level due to his dementia, but our visits have been SO encouraging. We almost lost my father, so believe me when I tell you, this facility was divine intervention."

"My mom hasn't moved into Brookdale West Orange yet but I just got the keys to the place today and looked at it. I'm going to be trying to get her in this week and she will be in their assisted living. It looked nice and homey. It didn't look like a hospital or anything like that. It looked a little like a hotel even. The room looked nice and it was what I expected. It was a small room with a little kitchenette area. The bathroom was spacious and it had everything she needed. Amanda was very knowledgeable, and she answered all of my questions. I didn't try any meal but the dining area looked fine. I know that they have some activities, but I don't know much about them. There was a place they could go to get haircuts and hair coloring and that sort of stuff. There was also a small library."

"My mom was a resident of Mira Vie at Fanwood. The staff was extraordinary, unfortunately, many of those people have left because of the new management. It's a very attractive, appealing property. The staff's level of care and attention has been uniformly excellent throughout. They have quite a bit of activities."

"It is beautiful. The staff is excellent, and everything is really good. The place is very nice. I have my own little apartment and that's like a hotel room with a kitchenette and big bathroom. The dining area is like you're going into really fancy dining, and they have assigned seating. They give you a menu to order off of so it's very nice."

"Forget the cold, dreary and bleak world of nursing homes. This place is cozy. The facilities are in a very quiet area, which is a great environment for providing palliative elderly care. The staff I met with were extremely friendly and willing to answer my multitudes of questions. They were extremely patient, which was a great sign considering my loved one's declining brain function. The reason we visited was to check out options for my loved one. This place eased some of our fears about assisted living, and definitely gave us a standard to hold other facilities up to. We ended up not using this facility only for its distance from our family, otherwise we would have definitely had our loved one here. However, everybody is different, so definitely look at a facility with your own eyes to determine if a place is right for your family member or friend. All in all, this place was nice! "
