"My mom used to be at Merry Heart. The staff was wonderful and did their best. Every time I had a problem, no matter what it was, they were on top of it and couldn't have been more helpful. However, the facility was run down and dirty. They need to put some money into it. It just wasn't clean. My mother was there during hurricane Sandy. There were roof leaks because it really took a hit. I just was surprised that things didn't get fixed quickly enough. The nursing home area is more expensive than the assisted living section. They're making all this money with so many people there, so I wish they'd put a little more back into their facility. "

"The staff was wonderful, my husband was treated as a guest not a patient. His care was exceptional; this is his 4th time at Morris View he felt he came back to family. My husband was treated with dignity and respect, his medical care was excellent all doctor's orders was followed. Even though his medical issues were complex the nurses make sure he was taken care of. Each individual was caring from the warm welcome from Mary the concierge, to the Unit Manager Kay and the nurses on the third floor, Scot, PT really pushed Leonard to get better sooner than expected and the aides was very helpful in his daily care. The kitchen staff came to his room when he did not like what was served whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. The cleanliness of the facility was unmatched. Norma"

"My husband is at The Oaks at Denville, but I can't go in there. I can't get in until it is 14 days. Everybody is willing to talk and they are nice, but he is not making any progress, and that is the problem. Unless you're there yourself you can't know. Anybody that is in a rehab or something of this thing needs an advocate. You need somebody there and I can't. Some people are very helpful and friendly, most of them are. I don't know what it looks like inside. I don't have anything bad to say, but I question his rehab a little bit because he has not made any progress. He says everybody is nice, and he does not really complain about the food. I can't say anybody has done anything that I don't like. I will say though they had to get my written permission to get the coronavirus vaccine and I said yes. And I also said that I am the caregiver and asked if I could get one, and they let me get one as well, which was really nice. That was wonderful. They are very, very cautious about spreading the virus. I know why they're doing what they are doing and that is good. But if it was not for the virus and we could get there, it would be a whole lot better. I can't blame them for what they are doing because it's what they have to do."

"I came to see The Holly Manor. I think they were more appealing because of the environment and the lighting were a bit darker. "

"The facility is run down but relatively clean. There are some excellent nurses and aides that are overworked but genuinely care during the day shift. They are always short staff. The night staff is terrible. My mother was genuinely afraid at times. I spoke to the administrator, several times, who will tell you what you want to hear but nothing changes. My mother said that she was given the incorrect medication one evening and called me in a panic. The nurse came in the room and was quite fresh to her and he asking who she was calling. I was unable to get the hospital to test for the medication as we had no idea what it was other than seizure medication (she was told this by a new nurse). My mom passed a week later."

"My mother is in Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation right now. The care that they provide there is very good, but she can't stay there for long term. She needs more care than that. They could be a little bit better with their communicating. Other than that, the service on a day-to-day basis is good, the physical therapy, occupational therapy, and the aides that come in the room and help her. They have a therapy room and a solarium that they can sit in. The floor that she's on was recently redone, so it's beautiful. She's complaining about the food though."

"We cant thank Care One and Staff enough for the love and care they gave our Mother - nurses, aids, food service, rehab , custodial, front desk and managers, all became part of our family. Our Mom was treated with dignity and respect - the facility itself is clean, spacious and has ongoing activities. "

"In my opinion I believe the facility was well run and the staff was very pleasant. This of course is before the pandemic and since we are not permitted visitation I cannot comment for the current situation. My understanding is that the building was built in the 1960's so the outside is brick which never gets old. My relative's room was ok but other wings were being renovated and they look very nice. Of course I would like to see my relative in a beautiful room but the way she is treated and cared for are much more important. "

"My dad spent close to two months at Care One after complications from a hospital procedure left him unable to walk and suffering from bouts of delirium. I visited him every day and got to see the inner workings of Care One for an extended period. The team of professionals at Care One is top notch. From the welcoming receptionists and administrators; the caring and skilled nurses and aides; a truly engaged physician (with a great bedside manner) who took an interest in my father’s case; physical, occupational, and speech therapists who helped my dad regain physical and cognitive abilities; and social workers that eased his transition home, my family and I could not be more pleased. When my dad arrived at Care One, he was classified as two-person maximum assist just to get out of bed and was suffering from periodic delirium. When he was discharged, he had progressed all the way to one-person supervision status when walking with a walker, the delirium has not returned, and he is not far from being able to walk independently with a walker. His goal — and we are all praying with him — is to get back to where he was before the procedure: independently walking without any supports. We highly recommend Care One at Hanover. "

"The Villa at Florham Park was extremely nice, clean, odorless, and looked like a hotel. The staff was very nice. The rooms were adequate and very nice. I liked that it was Catholic and had mass every day."

"I am very pleased with Pine Acres Convalescent Center, and the care they've been giving my brother. He's getting 24-hour nursing care in a shared room, which is extremely clean and comfortable. It's not a fancy place and older but kept beautifully. What I've been most impressed by is the caring and friendliness of the staff. There is not a single person that does not greet me when I'm there. All of the administrative staff knew my name at my second visit. They are very amenable to keeping in touch with me either by phone or by email. They do whatever I ask them to do and they've taken wonderful care of my brother. Their food looks really delicious, too. Their menu always looks very appealing to me. "

"My friend was at Chatham Hills. He was only in rehab there. For the first two weeks, he was in isolation. Every room has an outdoor window, and they numbered the windows so you could go to the window and visit them. The room was like a regular hospital room, but the nurses always made sure that they pulled them to the window to see us. He saw us there even though he was on the opposite side of the room. They seemed to be much more friendly and helpful. However, there were a lot of a lot of miscommunications. My friend was very picky and he didn't like the food."
