"My father is at Hopkins Center for Rehab and Healthcare. The staff is amazing. Everybody from the nurses to management, to the cleaning people are all very friendly, very helpful, and give him rehab there. The place is a spotless, wonderful place, and the food is very good. The place is beautiful; they redid the whole place last year, and were still finishing touches as needed. They have live music every other day, they have games all day long, board games and cards to keep them active. They're overpriced, but they give good care."

"Overall, Dry Harbor Nursing Home is one of the better facilities that I have visited. The building is extremely clean and neat. The residents' rooms contained many items of state of the art medical equipment. In addition, the decor was much more welcoming than in some other places I have seen. There is a very large staff, and all members of the staff are qualified, friendly, and have an excellent rapport with the residents. The staff goes to great lengths to make the residents feel at home. They even offer large dinners on holidays so that the residents can still play host to their loved ones! This place was great! "

"I chose to come to Laurel Bay because I find comfort here. All departments including nursing, recreation, dietary, and housekeeping all do a great job. I enjoy eating the food served at Laurel Bay. I enjoy pet therapy, listening to music, special events, and socializing with my friends. "

"I have to share how I feel about the Dumont Center for Rehabilitation. The place is beautiful and comfortable to visit. The staff are welcoming and helpful with all our needs. Starting with Executive Administrator all the way to the hospitality staff, they’re 5 star. My mother has been a resident for five months, on the third floor unit, and the improvement in her is night & day. She was unsure about staying, but now she is one of the staff as she walks around making others feel at home. I can go on forever with my gratitude, but I’ll stop. I just have to thank you, Dumont Center, for giving my family and I the confidence to place our loving mother in your care. For ever grateful!"

"I liked Inglemoor. It was a good atmosphere. It was like a people person’s home. It was very warm and very inviting. I just looked like a place that people would be comfortable in. It seemed like they had more. You could sit there and watch TV. They had good food and good patient care. I thought they said they were 5 to 1 on staff-to-patient care, and that was pretty good. They also had long-term, and they geared towards to taking care of their patients to their last day. "

"My father stayed at Care One at Livingston before he passed away. He was maybe there for three weeks. We came across this place through his doctor. The facility was very nice and clean. The staff was pretty nice. My father was comfortable with them. "

"My husband was at Spring Hills Post Acute Livingston for two months. The facility itself was very modern and clean. The food was good. He liked the food there and the social worker was very good, but the day-to-day staff I did not feel was as attentive. The rooms were very roomy. They had nice light, and big windows, TVs, and a nice wheelchair and bed. It was very nice. They could treat their staff better. If they treated their staff better, the staff would be more involved. They all work part-time. I find it's better when the facilities have more full-time staff, so the staff doesn't have to worry about trying to juggle multiple schedules."

"My friend is at Stratford Manor Care And Rehab and he's been there three weeks now. They really screwed up yesterday. He had been programmed to go to a specialist that morning and they called up on Wednesday and canceled the appointment, but then it never got transmitted down the line to the staff. In the end, we had an ambulance, and we took him there to the doctor's office and it turned out to be inaccessible. The whole trip was an expensive waste of time. On that occasion, they kind of screwed up. Mostly, I have a good feeling about Stratford Manor. Their top priority is rehab, so they put that higher up. They're not in the business of long-term care. They're an in and out place more than a long-term place. Most of the staff members are perfectly are fine, but it's a mixed bunch and some are better than others. They seem to be well trained and well-suited for what they're doing with a few possible exceptions. We're only exposed to a certain small fraction of their whole staff. The food is quite good and the facility seems to be good too."

"Alaris Health at West Orange looked immaculate. I love it. It's very clean. I loved the way they interacted with the clients when I was there. They don't just sit around. They're doing therapy because I went to the therapist's room as well. They have a garden out there on the balcony, and the patients tend to the garden. They have events for them to participate in, like dress-up and whatnot. I love the way that the cafeteria is set up. It's set up like a nice eatery where everybody comes together as opposed to everybody eating in a room. There's a lot of socialization going on. I don't see isolation. As I was walking through the area, they had the charts of what was going on in the facility. You can get in touch with certain people in the facility. They're always available, not putting you on hold. Each time I called, someone answered. I got the information that I needed. There are times when I couldn't make it at a certain time, and they give you that grace period, but just be mindful that there are other clients there. I was pleased with the tour. The person who assisted me was very professional. They seem to be doing what they need to do. We were there around lunchtime, and I didn't see food just being put aside for those that were not able to eat. They have private rooms as well as shared rooms. The room I saw was standard, nice, and well-kept. You don't see anything lavish."

"I visited this facility and i loved everything about it. Staff were so friendly and kind. Everyone was welcoming to me. I ate lunch with my loved one, everything was delicious. The therapy staff was great. My loved one was up and walking very shortly after arriving at the facility. They have a beautiful patio were residents and families can sit outside. Rooms are clean and smell great. I would highly recommend this facility to everyone! "
