"My mother stayed here for respite care. It was for rehabilitation for an injury. They were great. They were friendly, helpful, just super accessible, and very good to her. She had her meals there, and it was OK, nothing spectacular. What we saw was right in the middle of COVID, so everything was shut down, not even the dining room was open because they were too afraid of passing anything on. She really didn't get to use much of the facility because of COVID. Everything was individual, so she had her physical therapy, but everything was one-on-one. She had nothing in a group setting and no other activities that you could be involved with more than one person. They were fantastic with her and they got her right back up on her feet and they did a great job with her. I would recommend it again and again. The value for the money was very good. We compared a lot of places and they were willing to work with your budget. They were very good. All around, they were our top choice."

"The people at Brighton Gardens are friendly. The place was nice and clean. They had all kinds of games, crafts and trips. They had laundry service, and they had everything that you needed. Everything was fine. They serve three meals a day. The place doesn't smell and they take care of everything. They have transportation if the residents need it. The staff seemed to be professional and knew what they were doing. I only saw one room that was available. It was like a studio room and it was a small one. "

"One of my friend's relatives has resided in this living facility for over 9 months now. I was able to pay her a visit in March and I have only but praise about the grounds of the facility, amenities and the exceptional staff on duty. As I approached the grounds, I felt a very vibrant, vacation like atmosphere which brought a sense of tranquility and calm to the forefront. I feel that this was imperative as the daily grind and life outside the facility is very chaotic and not fit for those who require assisted living. The meals that I saw in the facility looked scrumptious and were portioned out, similar to a meal in a typical home. The residents looked to be eating steak and potatoes while playing cards, a very jolly and carefree atmosphere. Finally, the staff was very friendly and seemed to be on call at all times for assistance and also to engage in the activities of the residents. Overall, I highly recommend this facility. "

"When the doctors at Bayshore Hospital determined that my 91 year old mother needed special care that only an assisted living facility can provide, like any son who had cared for and lived with his mother during her time of need, I was a little apprehensive. My mother has been a resident of the Millennium Memory Care in Aberdeen (recommended to me by Bayshore Hospital) for close to a year now and I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with the attention of care my mother receives from their dedicated staff. Not only does she receive medical care, medication management and regularly scheduled checkups, they also provide a hair dresser and hold holiday parties. Now with the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff has suspended visitation and put other measures in place to safeguard the health of their residents. I would recommend this Care facility to anyone. "

"CareOne at Somerset Valley looks very good. The staff is very good, caring, and thoughtful toward my mom. The dining area is clean and has good food. They have activities like bingo, different ball games, and some small shows. She's enjoying it all."

"My mom has been here since September. Just the entire environment there I found to be very warm, cheerful and friendly. It's a community there, maybe 62 or 63 residents. The staff is very attentive, very warm, friendly and it's a family environment. Everybody knows each other and the staff knows everybody's name, they know every family member by name. When you walk in, they say hello and they call you by name. It's a very warm, caring, supportive environment and everyone seems very happy there. I liked the studio apartment that was available very much and the location, I have two cousins that live nearby. The dementia had progressed and she wasn't doing well and she's a new woman there. She's happy, she's participating in activities. They have a nice schedule of activities going on every day both in the facility and trips out. They have an exercise class in the morning several days a week. They have a walking club but in this weather stays mostly indoors. They play casino, bingo, Scrabble and movies, they have discussion groups. I can't say enough about it. My mother is very happy there and I'm completely thrilled with them."

"The Delaney at Bridgewater was very posh and high-end. The lady who gave the tour was super nice and super good. I talked to her before a few years ago before they finished construction and she's spent a lot of time with us and showing us the extra things that we probably are not going to do, but we're just interested. There's a huge variety of units. Most of them, unfortunately, already are not available, but there is still some choice. The grounds are very nice. That's an additional thing. It's a large property and so it's nice if somebody wants to walk around. Everything there is high end like the exercise rooms."

"My mom has been living at The Villas since October 2019. She was very reluctant to move to such a place but, the moment we walked in she fell in love! Not only is it new but also beautiful!! She feels as if she’s living in a 5 star hotel. I, of course, was concerned about her care and the staff. We have found that both are on a level far exceeding expectations. The staff is loving and kind always having a smile and kind word for everyone. The quality of care is first rate and even in these very hard times has proven to be wonderful. Our entire family is delighted that we have chosen the Villas as my moms home. "

"I ended up liking it best just because every staff member I encountered there was very friendly. There were a ton of activities and it seemed like the majority of the residents there were engaged and occupied in those activities. They had at least two choices for every meal. There were regular things that Mom could order if she didn't happen to like the offerings for the meals. The studio was really nice and spacious. They had a refrigerator in the apartment. They have outdoor spaces and a couple of them spread around the outer perimeter of the facility, and there's a walkway that goes all the way around. We felt like the lady that gave us the tour is an old friend right away. She showed us all kinds of options for facilities that would be available for my mom, made sure we saw every part of the facility, and gave us an opportunity to peek in on one of the activities that the groups were doing. I just felt like she was open and honest and spent a ton of time with us."

"We've chosen Spring Hills Princeton for my mother, and she's moving this week. Location was a big deal. I'm very familiar with Princeton. It's not far from where I live. It's not far from where I work. So location, and convenience of my being able to get there were definitely at the top of my priorities. It's also in a beautiful area, a very beautiful facility. The staff was phenomenal. I toured their dining facility, and saw their menu. Some of the residents did come up to me and, they sort of very friendly and, they happened to mention, that they love the meals. They enjoy being there. So I'm assuming that it's pretty good. I was shown three different style rooms, a studio, one is considered like a one bedroom, and then the other is like a two bedroom, I guess, for couples. We liked the studio. We felt my mother would be fine in a smaller room, but they showed me a model of how it could be set up if I did select the studio, and made it very simple for me to get my mother to make sure she had what she needed by seeing this model. So it made it very easy for me to visualize what I need to do. They were also able to show that they have a room where they do all the arts and crafts. I know my mother in the past had enjoyed it, so I'm hoping that that would get her back to being interested. So an entire room for that with somebody who helps them do crafts and art. They have a nice, little, reading section, like a little library. I know my mother from the past enjoyed reading so that was very helpful. They also have a section where I knew she was going to need physical therapy and occupational therapy, so we did a tour of that section."

"I visited Mira Vie at Fanwood. It's nicely decorated, very clean, and very peaceful. It is a rather elegant situation, and I was told that it used to be a hotel, so I'm not surprised that it looks like that. They have two buildings, one for assisted living and the other for independent living. I took a closer look at assisted living. The rooms they showed me were kept well. They were small, just a room with a bed, so it was not a big accommodation. The staff was very well prepared. They knew what they had and knew what to tell me. They did well, and I liked what they told me and what I saw."

"I toured this facility last week. I met with the community relations director. She took her time and didn't rush me through. She refered to the place as a community not a facility which I liked very much. The residents who live there were engaged in an activity that was age appropriate. The residents looked well kept and happy. The interior was well kept and clean. The staff were introduced to me during the tour. Some of the staff have been there a long time, over 5 years. The community relations director said she was fairly new there but was very knowledgeable about the place. The rooms are nice and all the utilities are included! There is no charge for an evaluation of care. The rates are good. Overall it is my #1pick of the 10 places in the Hillsborough area listed. I also looked at 3 other places not listed but this is the best of them all. I put a deposit on a room and am excited to move my dad in! "

"Sunrise of Marlboro was a wonderful place for our mother. Sunrise helped us with every aspect and stage of our mother’s care. What first appealed to us on our initial visit was the quality of the staff. This initial impression held true once our mother joined the Sunrise community. The nursing staff, care takers, maintenance and management all did their jobs to ensure that our mother was well cared for. By the end of her life, our mother needed a very high level of care. This was provided by Sunrise. When we first looked at assisted living facilities, we found that not all would provide this level of care. We knew our mother’s illness would progress over time, and we wanted our mother to stay at one place. The high level of care provided by Sunrise allowed her to do this. Finally, we would like to add that there was a great deal of joy and laughter at Sunrise provided by a very caring staff."

"Mother has been here for three weeks now, and everything is going well. I have a friend whose mother is there, so she recommended it. I went there to visit, and we loved it, so I went back right away to put a deposit on them and got her in there as quickly as possible. The staff is very helpful and very professional. The whole place is beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better place. It feels like home, the people are nice, and it's clean. She gets meals, and the food is fine. They have a lot of stuff going on all day long, and it's really up to the individual to participate or not, i.e., movies everyday, video games, and bingo. I would definitely recommend them. Everything is perfect about it."
