First impression of Sunrise of Marlboro was welcoming and the greeters and staff continue to make us, as the family, feel welcomed at any time. Gabrielle (Gabby) was extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the admittance procedure & level of care. We felt confident that when the time came we would choose Sunrise of Marlboro. We turned to Gabby a month later to guide us with the move from rehab to Sunrise of Marlboro. She made an overwhelming and emotional situation less stressful. Gabby was to put it simply, amazing. Sunrise of Marlboro staff, Barbara, Michele, and memory care floor staff are always available by cell or to stop in their office. They know the residents and it shows. Updates are given on my mother's adjustment, her daily involvement in the community. The memory care floor staff is friendly, kind & patient taking time to talk with the residents and help them with their adjustment. Vinny & Mary DiCostanzi

Sunrise is the perfect name for this residence. The workers are full of smiles and great vibes always. Caring and loving like real family. There is a variety of rooms, each is wonderful, according to your needs. The attention given is always 100%. There are always activities. Music, art, baking, making pizza. They also have some outside activities, like a lunch at a restaurant or a scenic drive. If a problem arises they get back to you immediately. The facility is clean and has a welcoming. loving vibe. I am well pleased. A dream come true for my family and MOM>

Mom is currently at Sunrise of Marlboro. It's a very nice place. It's clean, and the people are very friendly. We really didn't have any issues there. She loved it there. It's just financially we had to move her. Everything was very good. I have no complaints. They have bingo. They have all kinds of trivia, music time. They have exercises, so there's a whole, whole bunch of different things. It's beautiful. I think it's a little too expensive, especially for her, because she didn't need any additional assistance.

Remember when Frosty the snowman put on his magical hat & became alive….Well, this is how I feel the experience has been with my Mom at Sunrise of Marlboro. Mom was needing more care day to day. She felt like she was becoming a burden to our family (which was not the case). We lost our dad a few years ago and mom was become very depressed & lonely. Although we were around and had plenty of company in and out, she felt alone. After a family discussion, we started to ask around about assisted living for her. Sunrise of Marlboro came highly recommended from a friend of mine. The move in process was a breeze. From soup to nuts they helped you with all!!! Mom moved in April of 2022. She told the staff, “I just want to be left in my room until I feel comfortable to mingle”. That lasted 1 day. Just like Frosty, she became alive again! Getting involved with activities, talking with the residence, PT & what ever Sunrise is offering that day. This was a true blessing in disguise. Listen, is any place perfect these days, no, but Sunrise of Marlboro is close to that. A few minor tweaks here and there along the way is all it took. The staff from care takers, nurses all the way to upper management are not afraid to “roll up their sleeves” to help your loved ones feel at home & comfortable.

Sunrise of Marlboro was a wonderful place for our mother. Sunrise helped us with every aspect and stage of our mother’s care. What first appealed to us on our initial visit was the quality of the staff. This initial impression held true once our mother joined the Sunrise community. The nursing staff, care takers, maintenance and management all did their jobs to ensure that our mother was well cared for. By the end of her life, our mother needed a very high level of care. This was provided by Sunrise. When we first looked at assisted living facilities, we found that not all would provide this level of care. We knew our mother’s illness would progress over time, and we wanted our mother to stay at one place. The high level of care provided by Sunrise allowed her to do this. Finally, we would like to add that there was a great deal of joy and laughter at Sunrise provided by a very caring staff.

I like the Sunrise of Marlboro for its hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and the facility was beautiful. I met with the nurses and they were very accommodating and very cheerful. Everything about it impressed me. I looked at their memory care during my visit. The director of the sales there was terrific and very informative. The nurses were very informative too and I was very happy with them.

Sunrise of Marlboro was vibrant and active and the people seemed to be engaged. It was very clean and I felt a good vibe from the moment I walked in. The woman that dealt with us was wonderful. She provided a lot of information about different things as well as the community itself. She was very helpful. The dining area looked very nice. The rooms were a little small, but the two larger ones were acceptable and the other ones were just too small. They had a fitness room, a salon, a movie theater room, arts and crafts, and a gathering room. The place looked like it was updated within the last few years. Everything was nice.

Sunrise of Marlboro seemed very nice and clean. I didn't get much interaction with the community as a whole, but it looked very well run. I liked it. I'm not so crazy about the room setup, but everything else seemed nice. The room I saw was a shared room, and I don't know how my mom would feel about living in a shared room. The one-bedroom was pretty big, but it's almost too much space for her. The dining area was clean and nicely set up. The facility was very clean. It looked like it was maintained. The upkeep looked like it was well-kept. The lady who showed me around was very nice, very genuine, and very informative, and answered any questions that I had. The staff was interacting with their patients. They had a movie theater, a beauty salon, a gym area, a library, a place for them to go on the computer and stuff. They had a lot of amenities.

What a wonderful place for Mom! Staff could not be more supportive and compassionate in meeting her every need during her transition to assisted living. As a daughter who lives out of state, I am so reassured to know that she is so well cared for, especially during such turbulent times. Extremely grateful to the entire Sunrise of Marlboro team.

My parents are in the assisted living of Sunrise of Marlboro. We're paying a hefty price monthly, and when I come in I have to clean up but you're paying a ton of money. It'd be nice of them to make sure that the place is clean, but I tend to straighten it up and I've had to scrub the bathrooms. I don't think that I should have to do that for an average of $7500 a person. I speak with them weekly, so the communication is there and I appreciate that. But I think that they could clean, and the response time when somebody needs help could be a little quicker. There's still laundry when I get there, and I have to clean dishes and bathrooms sometimes. So for them to be efficient with cleaning, would be helpful. My dad can't take himself to the bathroom, so he was waiting to go but ended up going in his pants because he just couldn't wait any longer. I've been there when that happens. And it seems like the staffing is worse at night than it is during the day. The meals are fine, I haven't heard my parents complain. They have the activities, my parents just chose not to do it. The facility itself was nice. They have a courtyard, a dining hall, they've got a piano and I've seen somebody come in to play piano for the residents, which is nice. They've got a room for arts and crafts.

Sunrise of Marlboro was really beautiful, very bright, open, and very clean. It had a very nice atmosphere and sort of like a mansion style with a grand staircase. The staff was great and nice. The dining room looked nice too. I liked their room set up a lot, but the cost is just a little high for my aunt. The studios were beautifully laid out. I loved the covered porches that wrapped around on the front. I was not able to see it but there's also courtyard in the back.

My mom has been there for five years. Staff has eaten her food and taken her water. When she calls it’s supposed to take ten minutes to answer tops. It takes sometimes 50 minutes for them to answer. This occurs at night. I will call the desk and no one answers. The good is not good. I end up buying my mom things to eat. Some staff nice. Usually short staffed.

Sunrise of Marlboro was very nice, but there weren't many men there. There were a lot of women, and my father wouldn't be happy with that. I was trying to find a place that had some men. The rooms were fine, though. They had a one-bedroom and a shared two-bedroom.

I toured Sunrise of Marlboro for my mom. The place was very nice, clean, inviting, and warm. The staff was friendly. They were invited my mom to spend a day there and do some activities. I saw they were playing bingo, and they were busy. She had lunch there as well, and the food was fine. I have no complaints with this place.

Sunrise of Marlboro was very pretty. There was a lot to like about it. I didn’t like that so many staff members were there for such a short period of time, and it wasn’t a good fit for my mother. They had a general activity room and a quiet room for memory care people if they got agitated. It was clean. Sunrise of Marlboro was more beautiful in a more franchise way.

We thought Sunrise of Marlboro was the nicest place. It is very open when you walk in. It seemed there was a lot of activity moving around. They had that 2-story entrance way and a big, grand staircase. The dining room was open, the little dining area that started with a bistro, and then you go into the dining room. The rooms were nice, and there were multiple different rooms. It kind of had everything that we wanted, and it was within the area -- within about 15 minutes of where we wanted to be. Sunrise is the place, and we have booked it. I thought the staff was great, very helpful, very informative, and very welcoming.

Sunrise of Marlboro was a beautiful place, but it was way out of our price range. When you walked in, it was like going into a gorgeous hotel with chandeliers and was two stories with a big balcony; from upstairs, you could look down. The gentleman there that we talked to was very nice. They had laundry service and availability to go on to stores. They had little buses for the seniors to take them to doctors' appointments. They served three meals a day. They had studio, two-bedrooms, and one large apartment. They were spacious enough, very nice, and very clean.

We recently toured Sunrise of Marlboro and I must say we were thoroughly impressed! The community is beautiful, clean and the folks that lived there, were smiling and active. The staff seemed very involved in care. The sales director and executive director made us feel warm and welcomed and had a very genuine concern for our situation regarding our mother. Though we are not quite ready for the move, we will be in contact with this community.

We were able to visit Sunrise of Marlboro, and they were very nice. They were very warm and friendly, but we just wanted a bigger community. The rooms were very nice. The only problem that we saw was the parking lot was very small, and there was no place for visitors to really park.

The visit was very nice. We just didn't like the facility. The staff was very nice, the director was extremely nice, and the rooms were very nice. Sunrise of Marlboro Middletown was just not a fit for my mother. We found that my mother needed independent living, not assisted living. If you needed assisted living, it would be a nice spot for you. The rooms, the dining room, and the people were very nice.

This is a really beautiful facility. My grandmother has been at Sunrise of Marlboro for about two years now. The facility is always spotless and well kept. The staff is friendly and courteous. I get the feeling from looking at the other elderly people there that there is a good sense of community. My grandmother is happy there which is the most important part. There are great places for walking, whether its around the facility or the scenic outlying areas. When the weather is less than perfect there is a great common area where she and her friends meet up all the time and play canasta and bridge. Big televisions in the area allow my grandmother to enjoy her "stories" and Jeopardy. Every time I visit her she comments about the large tv's. All in all my grandmother is an easy lady to please, but I know that she is good hands at the Sunrise of Marlboro. I want to really thank the staff for making the experience great for visitors and most importantly my little Italian grandma. Thanks guys!

The buildings are very nice is kept up very well both inside and outside. The grounds are landscaped nicely and obviously maintained professionally. There are many events available to the residents to ensure they are never bored. They all seemed to be excited for the day and eager to take part in the community. There was Bingo and other "gambling" games weekly along with special events for the holidays. However, the common areas sometimes seemed to be too small to accommodate the amount of people who were in them especially when many were in wheelchairs. The food was good and complimented on by many residents. Volunteers were used to host many events and while they seemed good with the residents I think more hired caretakers were necessary. Overall, I would recommend the facility to my family especially because the prices are competitive. My relative in it was always in good spirits despite her ailments.
