"My husband was the beneficiary of outstanding care for approximately 2 months during the fall of 2014 after open heart surgery.. The PT and OT staff was devoted and extremely capable; they did not waste a minute and the therapy was very effective. At the outset he was bedridden and when he left he was able to walk out of doors for a reasonable distance. The nursing staff was responsive around the clock, and the support staff often went out of their way to make life more pleasant under difficult circumstances. "

"I recently attended an open house event at Allaire Nursing and Rehab show casing the new sub acute unit. The new unit is beautifully designed and athletically pleasing. The spa like shower area is both functional and classy. The rooms are spacious and practically designed. More importantly though I can attest to the team of health care professionals working cohesively to meet the unique needs of the people they care for with challenging heath conditions. I’m excited about the enthusiasm and dedication I see at this facility and look forward to seeing some great outcomes here."

"My son has been a resident of J.L.M. for almost seven years. He is very happy there. They have a variety of activities and entertainment for the residents. They also have a young adult unit which other care centers don't have. The staff, including nurses, cna's, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, recreation, therapy, and office staff are wonderful! They all have a great relationship with all of the residents. Everyone is treated with the utmost respect. We are one big family here at J.L.M. I personally can't see my son living anyplace else. He has lots of friends here. This is his home and his extended family. "

"Applewood Estates was a good place; my brother would be comfortable there. The rooms were very nice, but the one-bedroom was a little small. They had bus trips into town, a library, and music. The staff seemed very helpful and knew everybody, but the place was so big."

"My dad is in The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center for rehab. I find it very good; it's small and the staff is wonderful. It's easy to come and visit my father; they take good care of them. He likes the attention that he's getting and is very pleased with it. The food looked fine to me. And when my father was able to eat he loved the food and was happy with everything. Because of his situation, he wasn't able to do a lot of the activities, but he was able to go outside, and he had a roommate. He was very limited on what he could do, but they tried to do the best they could with his situation."

"My mother is at Pinebrook Care Center. We like this place, they have warm staff members, and really seem to care about their clients. They have all kinds of services that are being provided by nursing homes, like helping them take a shower, eat, and dress up. Right now, we don't have access to the facility due to COVID-19, but from the outside, the surrounding area is like a forest; it's not a bad area. They also have recreational activities that they provide to the clients."

"My mother-in-law is now a resident of Roosevelt Care Center at Old Bridge. It's so clean and it's so beautiful that it's unbelievable. The food is great and my mother-in-law had improved. They care about the people that stay there. It's a beautiful place to bring someone when they get older and you feel they're safe. They have games, bingo, they have barbecues, and they take them outside. They have everything, you name it. Their rooms are so clean and private. It's just a beautiful place, it's a great place to live, and to leave your loved ones in good hands."

"My mother was a resident at Bartley Healthcare for 4 months prior to her passing. The quality of care she received at Bartley exceeded our expectations. I found the staff to be always helpful when we had questions and attentive with my mother's care. We had visited several nursing facilities prior to bringing her to Bartley and we were happy with our choice. The facility had a home like environment and every staff member we communicated with (Administration, Nursing, Doctors, Social Service and Admissions were very accommodating to our needs and kept us informed on our mother's progress. We felt extremely comfortable leaving our mother in the care of this facility and we are forever grateful for making our mother's final days a pleasant experience. "

"My family member was in other facilities in the past. This is by far the best. 3 others referred me to them (who have had good past experiences) and they were right. I'd ignore the negative reviews as it just doesn't fit to me and all others I know who have experienced a loved one going through rehab. "

"My husband is staying at Preferred Care at Old Bridge for rehab. He likes physical therapy. He thinks it's going to get him stronger, and he's going to be home. He likes the people there, and they're very nice. His main thing is physical therapy, he gets it six times a week, also occupation and speech therapy, and they do exercise. The food is very good here, he likes the food very well. The facility is a little older, but the care is what's important, and he's getting the care that he needs. The administrator and the person who owns it are very, very nice people. If you have any trouble, you can go to them, and they'll fix it. They'll follow up on anything that you have, and they don't ignore you."

"My husband was transferred from Robert Wood Johnson on 8/19 and released on 12/3. I was so impressed by the service, care, therapy from everyone from nurses to pa to aides and therapist. The facility is one of the best I have ever seen. It's clean, the rooms are beautiful and the activities are incredible. The volunteers are the best. Caring, loving and always remembering the patients names. Even though I brought food from home, my husband was happy with what was prepared . In the beginning he was not eating much, so I can attest to the quality since I would eat his leftovers. During his stay he had to go back to the hospital three times due to complications. On his return we both felt as if we had come home. The speech therapist had so much patience with him and the physical therapists who he saw twice a day were great. The nurses were all great, in particular I must praise Dawn (on third floor) She treated us as if we were family. Before being released, Michelle in social services helped with all the necessary equipment from hospital bed, wheel chair and transportation to come home. I know from experience with my mother there is no easy way to deal with family in nursing home, but this one ca make your life easier to deal with, by showing caring attention. The aides, in particular Alicia, Rosette, Nikki , Vicki who treated me like their mother and my husband like their father. Reassuring us from the first day that things would get better and thank God they did. I am grateful my husband is home and the months he spent in there helped me to learn how to cope with him and appreciate what we now have. Thank you to everyone at Reformed Church and if I have neglected to mention anyone, please know you're not forgotten and you are in my prayers for what you have done for us to survive this difficult period in our life. "I've been at Gardens At Monroe Healthcare And Rehabilitation for 33 days now. I like the physical therapists. I've never met a group of women who aren't physical therapists. It's such a wonderful job. They are so passionate, and caring, and they give you such motivation. They are unbelievable. They encouraged me every day. I have a half-hour of physical therapy and a half-hour of occupational therapy. Because of them, I'm learning to walk all over again. They're wonderful. I can't say enough about them. As far as the food is concerned, it is good. Currently, I have a roommate, and she's 99 years old, so I've been kind of taking care of her. I got RSV, and so I was put in isolation, and they did a good job. I was the only one in the room. When I was sick for seven days, they came in and they were all wrapped up and geared up so that they wouldn't catch anything. It was really good, and so was the nursing staff. It's just out of this world. It's an older building, and there are things that should be done. But the front office is wonderful. They provided transportation for me to go back to the surgeon to have the stitches taken out. They were really good. For activities, they have bingo probably Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and then they have Yahtzee Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have Catholic services on Sunday, and they have Jewish services on Friday because they're Orthodox. They had a very nice Christmas program, and there was a sing-along. The activities director is awesome. They're very pleasant. I can't say enough about them. I'm over the 21 days that Medicare pays for, but I wasn't ready to go, I think it's worth the money. You get all the services, and you don't have to worry about a thing. They take care of you. They come in and take x-rays and I take the x-ray disc to the surgeon. I get a report every time I have an x-ray. They keep the patient informed, so I like that."
