"Other than parking, Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare was very nice. The lobby was pleasant. When they took me up to see the floors, the facility was pretty clean. The residents that I met there were pleasant. Sometimes, you tour a nursing home and they look miserable, and they didn't seem that way there. The staff was pleasant. They have an activity calendar for the month and they had several things to do daily. Usually in the summertime because it's warm, they have a barbecue every Wednesday. They have a backyard where the residents can go and that was nice, very peaceful, and very green. The dining area was clean, pretty new, and good-sized, and they had a menu. It impressed me. The staff was very helpful and informative. I felt comfortable. I didn't get a bad vibe."

"While looking for options of senior citizens assistance for my parents I got to Livia. Customer agent via web chat was kind and helpful in providing answers to my queries. As son of senior/ederly parents I want to provide them a wonderful and more enjoyable life for the rest of the time that GOD may have planned for them. Customer agent was very attentive, so I hope the rest of the personnel is as good as him or even better. That would provide a sense of trust and confidence that your love ones will be in good hands."

"Reformed Church Home was very nice and very clean. My mother-in-law used to be a resident there. Their price was a little bit high. If your health failed, you could get switched to skilled care. You do not have to relocate to a different facility. My mother-in-law was in both skilled and assisted living. She was well taken care of. It's beautiful. They keep the residents busy."

"My husband is staying at Preferred Care at Old Bridge for rehab. He likes physical therapy. He thinks it's going to get him stronger, and he's going to be home. He likes the people there, and they're very nice. His main thing is physical therapy, he gets it six times a week, also occupation and speech therapy, and they do exercise. The food is very good here, he likes the food very well. The facility is a little older, but the care is what's important, and he's getting the care that he needs. The administrator and the person who owns it are very, very nice people. If you have any trouble, you can go to them, and they'll fix it. They'll follow up on anything that you have, and they don't ignore you."

"My mother-in-law is now a resident of Roosevelt Care Center at Old Bridge. It's so clean and it's so beautiful that it's unbelievable. The food is great and my mother-in-law had improved. They care about the people that stay there. It's a beautiful place to bring someone when they get older and you feel they're safe. They have games, bingo, they have barbecues, and they take them outside. They have everything, you name it. Their rooms are so clean and private. It's just a beautiful place, it's a great place to live, and to leave your loved ones in good hands."

"This nursing home has caring staff who know their residents and try to make them as comfortable as they can. Staff is friendly and attentive and the residents have nice sized rooms and an outside area where they can sit and get fresh air if they chose to do so. "

"My father-in-law is in CareOne at East Brunswick. He needed rehabilitation, and we know they can help him financially because the expense has been covered by Medicare. They're very good. So far, we're very pleased with the care that he's getting there. They do rehabilitation and then long-term care. He's getting stronger, but he's still undergoing therapy. He says the food is pretty good. The facility is pretty good as well. I have not been inside the facility, but I've seen a little bit of the inside of it. It's hard to say when you can't go in because of the pandemic, but with a little bit I've seen, it's well maintained. It could be updated, but it's not bad at all."

"In June 2011 I received a call at the Senior Housing where my Mom had been living for over 15 years. They told me that after her latest surgery and being sent home from a different "rehab - nursing home" facility she was not doring well. I live in California and my Mom was in NJ. I made several inquiries on the internet to find out who would take a Medicare patient and I was given the name of two facilities in Monmouth County. I called the next day - Victoria House and the explained everything to me. The following day the went with a nurse to visit my Mom at her apartment and told me under no circumstances could she take care of her self - and they picked her up that day. This was one of the scariest things I had ever done - since I did not know these people or about their facility. As it turns out - it was a great place for my mom. I went back to NJ to close my mom's apartment and get her ready for maybe some day to move to the assisted living side. Victoria House and their staff help me arrange everything. I had one week to accomplish this. To make a very long story shorter - Mom eventually move to the assisted living section - but it was short lived - another fracture in her crumbling spine and another surgery. She never went back to the Assisted living section again. I would call my Mom daily, talk to the nurse's station daily and they were always willing to accommdate my many questions and phone calls. My Mom had a church daughter that checked on her regularly and told me that the care was incredible. Mom enjoyed the care she was getting and the nurses and staff that took care of her. During the last week of her life, they made it very confortable for my Mom - playing her favorite music, attending to her heel wound and doing everything to make my MOM cofortable in her journey to her new home. I will also be eternally grateful knowing that they truly cared for my Mom - she wasn't just another patient - she wasn't just another paycheck - but a humane being that deserved to be treated with compassion and dignity. "The facility was relatively clean. The workers were courteous, and more than accommodating in helping my grandfather rehab from his illnesses. My grandfather was in the nursing home for approximately two weeks and despite some minor issues (aides not always being around, or lack of aides), I had no problems with Pine Brook. It was an overall pleasant experience. "
