"Brighton Gardens of Edison was very clean and very neat. Everything was on ground level, so we didn't have to worry about any staircases or anything. It was very well lit and easily accessible. The rooms were very clean, modern, neat, and all pretty new. We went through the kitchen, and everybody who was eating there looked very happy. The staff was very nice, courteous, and professional. There was no pressure. No sales pitches. They just let us take a look and walk around."

"Regency Heritage gave my husband tender loving care while he was in this beautiful facility. I am indebted to the staff more specifically to the dedication and kind regards of folk like Evette and others on the first floor. When my husband moved to the second floor we were met with another group of dedicated professionals. The expert professionals in the rehabilitation unit were phenomenal. They brought my husband back from immobility to satisfactory mobility in a shorter period of time than the family even expected. Forever grateful."

"South Mountain Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center has been great. They've been amazing. The staff has been very helpful in this journey, and they've made her stay very pleasant. She does like the food there. The facility is very nice and comfortable. They are very well taken care of, I would say. She's not in a position where she can use those facilities at this time. The staff has been great from the admissions to the social worker, to the physician assistant, the physician, and the nurses, they're all great."

"Right now, my mom is at Park Crescent Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for rehab. They are helping her with speech, and they are helping her to walk. I was there for one of the sessions, and I got her motivated a little to take a walk and stand and stuff. I like them. They're very pleasant, and they keep me posted. They call me if they give her any kind of medicine. My mom was dehydrated, and they called me about that. She has a UTI right now, and they called and told me that because they did urine and blood work on her. They don't just do things, they call me and get my permission to allow them to do whatever. They're very good. They're very caring. I've even noticed that with the other patients there. I like the place. That's why I want to try to keep my mom there as long-term care. I'm very pleased with the place. So far, they have been excellent to me as far as taking care of my mother, and I'm very, very fussy about my mom and how to take care of her. But they're very nice, very thoughtful, and caring. My mother was sleeping over in her wheelchair, and I went to straighten her up, and they said, 'No, no, no, no. We'll do that.' They don't even let me touch my mother. I can't even roll her from her room to the lunchroom where they have lunch, they have to do it. They do everything. It's nice very facility. They're clean. They keep my mom clean. Sometimes I bring my mom food in because she won't eat. She doesn't like it. I looked at it and I could tell it's not that great. The room my mom is in is nice and clean. It's warm and comfortable in her room. She now has a roommate, but it's nice. Right now, I have no complaints about them. The staff members are excellent. I came in here, and I had been crying and they had been good to me, calming me down and everything. In terms of activities, my mom doesn't care about doing anything, but I did get her a little bit interested in it. We played Chinese bingo, and I thought it was fun. It was my first time playing it. She got into it, too, and she seemed to like it. But they were like, 'If she doesn't want to play, she doesn't have to.'"

"I toured Harbour View Senior Living. The rooms are big enough, and everything is comfortable. Also, I got the opportunity because everything is included, including the meals, medical attention in case some emergency shows up, and nursing service in case I need it. A parking lot is also included. I can park my car anywhere because there are a lot of areas to park my car, so it's very convenient for me. There is a social room where people can meet and make a program. The price is not very cheap, but it's correct because everything is included. The people were very kind and nice."

"While looking for options of senior citizens assistance for my parents I got to Livia. Customer agent via web chat was kind and helpful in providing answers to my queries. As son of senior/ederly parents I want to provide them a wonderful and more enjoyable life for the rest of the time that GOD may have planned for them. Customer agent was very attentive, so I hope the rest of the personnel is as good as him or even better. That would provide a sense of trust and confidence that your love ones will be in good hands."

"It is truly a difficult decision to have a parent reside in a Nursing Home instead of at home but sometimes there is no choice for the family based on their needs. I feel so incredibly grateful that my own mother was a resident at Dry Harbor Nursing Home since the summer of 2022 until her recent passing in March of 2024. In her final years my mother was on the tenth floor of Dry Harbor and was in absolute excellent care. The staff lead by Managing Nurse Tamara was hard working, dedicated, kind and patient with my mother putting my siblings and me at ease knowing our mom was in good hands. On my daily visits I asked questions and showed concern for my mother's health and spirits. Tamara, the managing nurse kept me posted on any new developments in my mother's health or any change in her overall well being. If she was unable to call herself for any reason she directed and left notes for other staff members to notify me of anything that seemed concerning. This gave me such peace of mind. Janet, Lucy, and Pauline just to name a few of the staff, I wish I could mention everyone, were absolute angels in my mother's life during her time in Dry Harbor. Zyrra the social worker was so sweetly kind and patient whenever I have needed her assistance and when reaching out to me in need of information or to provide me with information. Eva the dietician was always willing to try different foods that may help my mother continue eating as her tastes and appetite changed and diminished as her health declined. I went to the home right after a long day of work and considering my fatigue I always felt relieved to be greeted by the smiling faces of the reception staff. Their kindness was truly welcomed and appreciated. The employees of the business offices were also kind, patient and so helpful when it came to the task of filling out paperwork and securing insurance and such which we all know can be tedious but necessary. So overall my family and I were pleased by the care our mother received at Dry Harbor but personally I would like to address a special thank you to the tenth floor staff as they truly helped to give me peace of mind with the care my mother received in the final days of her life. To Lucy trying to help convince my mother ever so kindly to eat to keep her strength up and making sure she was comfortable and calm. To Janet for answering all of my questions as soon as I stepped off the elevator and always with patience, respect and empathy for my concern for my mother. Also for not hesitating to call the managing nurse whenever either she or I believed my mother needed specific attention or help. To Pauline the miraculous angel who called me the morning my mother passed because using the judgement of her experience and the mutual opinion of Tamara predicted that my mom may not survive that day. Their intuition and professional assessment was correct. I will always be grateful for that phone call in the morning that made it possible for my siblings and I to be with my mother at the moment of her death. That was a precious gift. My mother passed away and even after the staff at Dry Harbor continue to be kind and patient and helpful. Thanks to all the staff members that made the experience a little easier during a difficult time for our family."

"My dad is at Complete Care at Madison. We chose it for him because it was one of the only places that would accept him from the hospital. Once we went and checked out the place, the administrative staff was very helpful and amazing. We were just incredibly impressed with the level of care that dad is receiving and the communication between everyone there and the family. They're in the process of renovating and remodeling, so they are doing things better. He has a shared bedroom where there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and some closets. Medicare paid for the first part and I believe he's going to qualify for Medicaid. Until then, I believe the pricing is pretty on par with other places that we've looked at. There is the main activity room where all of the residents are during the day. They also have arts and crafts, puzzles, and TV, and then they have a smaller room off of that, which allows for a little more privacy when visiting."

"In June 2011 I received a call at the Senior Housing where my Mom had been living for over 15 years. They told me that after her latest surgery and being sent home from a different "rehab - nursing home" facility she was not doring well. I live in California and my Mom was in NJ. I made several inquiries on the internet to find out who would take a Medicare patient and I was given the name of two facilities in Monmouth County. I called the next day - Victoria House and the explained everything to me. The following day the went with a nurse to visit my Mom at her apartment and told me under no circumstances could she take care of her self - and they picked her up that day. This was one of the scariest things I had ever done - since I did not know these people or about their facility. As it turns out - it was a great place for my mom. I went back to NJ to close my mom's apartment and get her ready for maybe some day to move to the assisted living side. Victoria House and their staff help me arrange everything. I had one week to accomplish this. To make a very long story shorter - Mom eventually move to the assisted living section - but it was short lived - another fracture in her crumbling spine and another surgery. She never went back to the Assisted living section again. I would call my Mom daily, talk to the nurse's station daily and they were always willing to accommdate my many questions and phone calls. My Mom had a church daughter that checked on her regularly and told me that the care was incredible. Mom enjoyed the care she was getting and the nurses and staff that took care of her. During the last week of her life, they made it very confortable for my Mom - playing her favorite music, attending to her heel wound and doing everything to make my MOM cofortable in her journey to her new home. I will also be eternally grateful knowing that they truly cared for my Mom - she wasn't just another patient - she wasn't just another paycheck - but a humane being that deserved to be treated with compassion and dignity. This is a "home" that you can be comfortable with your family member. Thank you Victoria House for making my MOM's journey a peaceful one. With much Admiration - Brenda Bomar "
