"I visited Juniper Village originally with interest as a home care provider. I met with Christine S. who gracefully expressed the importance of preparing for the future. She even put my mind at ease in regards to placing my own parents. It is incredibly comforting to know the level of care that goes into running this facility and providing for each resident.. I would, without a doubt, recommend Juniper Village to any and all families that are searching for a place to call home for their loved one in Morris County. "

She has followed up with several emails to see if she could further assist us, without making it feel like a high pressured sales pitch-which it certainly wasn’t. "Spring Hills has exceptional activities staff. Speaking as a family member of a resident in the memory care section, known as Spring Cottage, I can say that the activities staff are incredible. They provide physical activity such as chair yoga and group exercise, as well as involve the Spring Cottage residents in events, BBQs, and other activities held in the community. They are really incredible at keeping them engaged! Well done."

"My sister-in-law moved into Brighton Gardens of Edison. The place itself is very welcoming. I was very much impressed with it. Their grounds are lovely, the individual rooms are very nice. I was very much surprised; I thought all nursing homes would just have a bed in there, and you would go downstairs if you wanted to watch TV or anything. It's set up like a little hotel room. It's very nice and very clean. She's only been there two, maybe three weeks but the staff seem very accommodating. We're just very happy with that. Though she didn't want to leave her home, she keeps telling me how nice they are; this is good news to hear. Every time I've had to ask something, or question anyone, they were right there. So, right now they're still a five. I'm not saying they can't go down, but right now they are five. I didn’t try the food, but I asked her, and she said it was very good. I have, read about them and what they're planning to do and whatnot. They're having an open trunk night, October 27, for Halloween. They're telling people to bring their grandkids and kids in general, and they have entertainment. They have trips and whatnots. They're all expensive as far as I'm concerned, but compared to the others, it's well worth paying for."

"We have selected Brighton Gardens of Florham Park, and so far, it has been excellent. From what I saw, it would not be the place where I’d want to eat, but mother seems OK with it. They have something excellent called the Terrace Club, which is really the reason why we selected it. Her room is spotless. The people are very caring, very giving, and very good. "

"I visited the information center after hearing about this lovely place from a friend. This is exactly what I had been looking for, but more beautiful than I could have imagined. The apartments are spacious and the amenities and grounds are gorgeous. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. "

"Sunrise of Madison was very pleasant, and the residents were highly cognitive. When I walked in, it was pretty nice. The residents were pleasantly having lunch, and it looked like the menu had many selections. You can help yourself with coffee, and there was a welcome sign out with my name on it. They tried hard to really make a good impression, and they definitely succeeded. "

"Brookdale Florham Park was beautiful. It was a nice, small, intimate community in walking distance to go shopping. It was set in a neighborhood environment which was very nice. They were redoing the place when we were there, updating and keeping it modern. The rooms were very airy with high ceilings. The dining room seemed very pleasant, with a lot of space between tables and nothing seemed crowded. I like the staff; we spoke to someone who showed us the rooms and someone in charge of activities. When my mother had questions, they were very generous and honest with their answers. I found them to be very compassionate with my mother who's a recent widow. I liked how they handled her and treated her with respect. Because it was a small community, the amenities were not that extensive. They took a survey of my mom's interests. They showed us the gardening club, which was right outside the tea and coffee room which was a very pretty backdrop. They talked about the different day trips that they take since my mom likes shopping. One of the things I was very impressed with was that they have monthly meetings with the people who live there to talk about the things that are coming up next month and ask if they have suggestions. My mom was interested in taking their swimming classes. It sounded like they were very responsive to the people who live there."

"My mother is in the assisted living level of Brookdale West Orange. We selected them because we also had another family member in the Alzheimer's section and we got good reviews from them. She seems to be acclimating, although it seems tough for my mother to move from a home to a small apartment, but she seems to be okay there. The only issue I had was when I was there this weekend, everybody was in the dining facility but they weren't fed because they're having problems with the food. So I immediately called the director up and he was very thankful that I called, because all the people were sitting there for over an hour and they weren't getting anything and what they got wasn't very good. The place is very nice, that's one of the things I had to say when I saw it. The accessibility is convenient for us personally, it's clean, I like it, and her room and everything like the air conditioner seems to work well. She plays a lot of bingo and enjoys that. When I was there, the physical therapist came over to ask her if she wants to physical therapy that day since they have an opening. The gentleman who came to the door was very nice, very cordial and asked politely. And when my mom said no, he completely understood and said there's no pressure to make anybody go and it's fine. Everybody seems to be very friendly and I can't complain about that at all. Overall, it's a nice community and clean, I have no problems with that. They have all kinds of activities, I have gone there a couple of times and they had the community television set. A couple of times I went there to see my mom sitting with other ladies and chit chatting. I would rate the value for the money a 3 right now because of the basic service rate on my bill that I don't understand."

"I toured Mira Vie at Warren. The sales director was great. Everybody looked happy, and I met a couple of the employees. It was great, and the service looked good. They showed me the game area, some rooms, and the whole place. The facility looked good. It's not as new as the other facility, but it was great. The outside areas were nice. The food and menu looked good."

"I happen to be very familiar with Sunrise of Basking Ridge because I have multiple relationships with the institution. Firstly, my Grandmother is eighty-nine, has Alzheimer's disease, and is a resident there. Secondly, I spent two years volunteering at Sunrise to complete a high school honors class requirement.The facilities are top-of-the-line and Sunrise has a very at-home atmosphere. Each resident is given their own room, no doubles, as well as a care-provider that attends to them and only two other people. Because of this, I actually never heard of any residents complaining about service during my time there. Also, there is a very nice dining room and numerous places for lounging and recreational activities. One of which is a an area where different activities such as bingo, raffles, and other games are held that most of the members seem to really enjoy. Outside is a very scenic walk around the complex and there are actually cats and dogs living on the premise as well.As far as the staff, as I said I've never received anything, but raving results. I followed many around as part of my duties during volunteering and I saw a genuine passion to care for the residents. They all knew each by name and greeted them with a smile. No complaints what so ever.Lastly, the thing that I found most impressive was the transportation provided for residents. There are multiple buses, that Sunrise owns, that take residents to church, shopping, and basically what ever is possible to be planned. Overall, I feel it is an extremely fine institution that truly cares about the people it is caring for. "

"I toured LIVIA Health & Senior Living looking for long-term care for my parents. It's beautiful, clean, and very modern. The staff and my tour guide were very friendly. They have multiple community areas and multiple dining rooms. It is one of the things that I like. The rooms were kind of spacious. The bathrooms were beautiful, and that's important for people who are in wheelchairs. It's definitely spacious and clean. I know they have a good physical therapy department and an occupational therapy department. They also had a small gathering space that families can use as a private room. There was a beautiful outdoor space for the residents and visitors. Everything looked very new, so no complaints there."

"The Heritage of Clara Barton was very nice. The rooms were kind of small, but it's enough for one person and for one bedroom. The staff members were very good, very nice, and concise. They explained everything very well. The rooms were clean and very nice. The apartment I looked at had its own kitchen. The outdoor was very nice with plants. Everyone had their own space."
