"I liked Fox Ridge. It was very nice. The staff was nice and helpful. They actually had more amenities and activities than others. They had all of the normal nursing home staff on site 24 hours. They also had like apartments instead of just their own rooms. It had its own kitchenette, and it was really nice. They had a movie theater inside the facility. Their dining area looked like a nice restaurant. It was the nicest place that I looked into. Everybody seemed lively and positive. "

"Mira at Maumelle didn't have their ducks all in a row. They have people living there, but it's just hard to tell how that's going to pan out. And it was a little further out than we wanted. The person who took us around was not the normal tour person because it seemed like he had way too many things on his plate, and that was a little disturbing. Their dining area was nice. However, I don't remember that much about them because as soon as we got there and saw how disorganized they were, we knew it wasn't for us."

"Our experience has been quite positive. It's a small place, my mother can get around, and the people have been helpful to her. They helped with finding doctors and getting to doctor's appointments. The food is good, and they have several activities for the people. My mother's room is a single room with a bathroom, a microwave, and a refrigerator. "

"My mother is in Fox Ridge North Little Rock. So far, it's good. There are going to be issues no matter where you go. I'm addressing those as they come up and they make every effort to resolve them. After checking with other facilities, they seemed to be the best fit for her as far as what she was looking for, a more homey environment, and the staff was nice and accommodating. I have eaten the food, and what I ate was good. It's just personal preference, but they have a program that if you look at the menu and you don't see things that you like, you can make alternate plans for that and that's very helpful. They have bingo almost every day. They bring in bands that play (it could be one person, it could be two people, or it could be six people), so they bring those in, frequently. They have day trips that they offer and can take them places. They're always having cupcake decorating, cookie decorating, and they have a little store. If they win bingo books, they can go to the store and redeem those for body wash, shampoo, dish detergent, and things like that. They have a puzzle room, which is part of the library. They have a razorback room, in which they show movies often, and they let them know what the movies are going to be, so they can gather in a nice room. They have lots of activities. They were all very accommodating when we first got there. Anything that we needed, they were there and they took care of. They continue to be very, very sweet and accommodating. I have a portal that I can Facetime my mom any time during the day and I always make it a habit of calling her and no matter who comes into the room, whether they're serving breakfast or coming to pick up her laundry, they all stop and say hello. They're just very, very nice."

"Mt. Carmel Community at The Village is quite new. It's only several years old. It has varying levels of care. There were independent cottages as well as assisted living, but there's no skilled nursing on-site. They have several different floor plans available. The independent living is all one floor plan because they're individual cottages. The assisted living has varying floor plans. Some are 400 square feet up to 700 square feet. The cafeteria was very nice. The residents seemed to be engaged in various activities. They showed me a calendar and I observed people playing cards in their community room and some older gentlemen watching television together. The staff was very friendly. They had extra staff members that day because it was an open house. They were very helpful and answered every question to my satisfaction. It's an excellent facility."

"My mother moved into The Manor Benton. It was very clean and very cheerful. As far as the décor, the way it's decorated, and the colors of paint and stuff, I always think it's cheerful when I go in there. The nurses have been very nice, very attentive to mom, and keep us informed too on how she's doing. They do have some activities, but in memory care, the residents were not that capable of doing activities. The food looked appetizing and good. I haven't tasted it, but it looked fine. Based on everything that we looked at beforehand, the price is about average. So I wouldn't say it's cheap, but I wouldn't say it was the most expensive. They have a TV, and they do have some games and things. They have a little outdoor area that they can sit on the patio. But as far as other kinds of amenities, I don't know if there's anything else for memory care. I think there may be some other things for the assisted living and the more independent living residents."

"Four Seasons had a nice setting, and it was really clean. The staff was friendly and really nice. Everyone seemed happy with the food. "

"I did not feel comfortable at The Greenbriar on Stagecoach. They charged $20 each time to drive people to their doctors or stores. Their pricing was cheap enough, but you get what you pay for; it had a smell to it, and the building looked like it needed some repairs."

"The Blake at Chenal Valley didn't have the assisted living that we could actually look at, but we looked at a two-bedroom independent living. It was excellent. It's a brand-new facility. Everything is new and very pristine. We want to go back and look at the assisted living, but we haven't had a chance to do that since my sister has been ill. We didn't really meet any staff. We just met with one of the property managers and she gave us the tour. She was just excellent. We went to a presentation at The Blake before we visited it. They served us lunch, and it was at a restaurant, so it was wonderful. If you were in assisted living, you got all your meals. The amenities depend on what kind of care you needed. They weren't finished with the construction."

"I toured Woodland Heights. They're remodeling some apartments that I might be interested in. It's a very pretty place. They've got friendly people. They have all the things that you would need. The only thing you have to pay for is your television service. I saw a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom. I'm going to look at two more next week. There will be two bedrooms, but they'll be larger than the one I looked at yesterday, at the same price. The staff was nice, very accommodating, and very friendly. They showed me the whole building and all that they have to offer. They have a library. They have a lady onsite that does exercise programs. They have a book club, two meals a day, and snacks, they have different get-togethers that you can participate in if you want to, and they have a happy hour before dinner in the evening. They have a religious service on Friday and Sunday. There are several things that you can participate in that are strictly up to you. It was very clean."

"The place is getting a little old and the price is a little less but it's still comfortable and all. The units were ok but it's just separate if you need to go to meals and you'll be exposed to the weather and that sort of thing. I looked at their apartment with 2 bedrooms and this is what my friend is in. It is quite adequate and nice. My friend is very happy there. In fact his brother moved there shortly after him. He indicated that they have what they advertise like plenty of activities inside. "

"I'm here. If you need help whether it's for PT, OT, you need medication help, or you need someone who can take care of you while you're recuperating from an accident or surgery, then this is the place. It is an older building, but they are trying to make it more up-to-date. Like anywhere else, you have good and bad staff, it just depends on how you are with them. If you have a good attitude, then they're gonna reciprocate and respect that. A lot of them respect the residents. I would probably say 98% of them do. They do very well with cleanliness. Housekeeping goes through two, three, or four times a day and they make sure that everything is wiped down. They wax the floors, and they sweep the floors. The tiles are always washed, and the trash is always empty. You don't have trash sitting in the corner. The food is good. A lot of times, they have more than I can eat. They give you good proportions, so it's good all the way around. We have bingo and nailcare for the males and females. We have monthly birthday parties. We have music and dedication or devotions for church service type things. Right now, with the COVID and everything, it's hard for people to come in, so we do our own praise and worship. They have enough staff, but people get sick and they have to go home, so it's nice if you have people that can be on standby. Everything is very well maintained. It's an older building, so it needs improvement in some places. They make sure the residents are engaged. They make sure that you're not just sitting around twiddling and in the bed all the time. They make sure they get you up and be interactive. If you have a loved one that needs a place to have care, I would recommend The Blossoms at Cumberland. The staff that they have here do care about their residents. If you have a need, they do what they can to help provide it for you. If they can't, they try and find a way to get it for you or they will solve the problem if you have one."

"The facility was recommended by a friend of my sister and were happy in choosing it. The facility is good and they welcome families coming in and having meals with residents and they always makes us feel welcome. And yes, I recommend this place as well for other people looking for a good facility."
