"My dad was at Evergreen Living Center at Stagecoach for rehab and I checked out the nursing home part in the last month because I'm thinking he needs nursing home care. The facility was very nice. For rehab, you get a room by yourself, and for the nursing home room, there are two people. The food was very good, and the place was very, very clean. The staff had excellent communication with the family. It was a very quick process to get your paperwork in and all the paperwork done on time. They were very helpful in doing all the paperwork and making it a quicker process than in some places. That's my very first choice, and I may not be able to get there because a lot of beds are single occupied, and I'm afraid that their beds will get full right now because they only have a couple, before I get my Medicaid kicked in. But it's it's a very, very nice place. They have a hair salon to get your hair cut. I can't say I've seen anything exactly, but supposedly they have a podiatrist and an eye doctor that come in, and these are things you don't get in a nursing home. If you need your hearing checked, they have all these people, these doctors that will come there to the facility, which I've really never seen a lot of before. If someone needs dental care, something about the teeth, they will get a dentist to come out. That was a big plus. The dining area was very nice. It had a lot of tables where you ate with somebody, like three or four people around the table. You did have a choice of what you wanted to drink. When my dad was there in rehab, you go in a line like a little small cafeteria line, and they had a little bit of choice in there."

"My dad went to rehab at Amberwood. It was a nice facility as far as look, but I do not care for the people there. I felt like the communication between the employees and the family was very lacking. My dad was in rehab, and they were supposed to have a meeting with the family every two weeks to update us on how well he was doing. They did not set up those meetings. I think I went to one meeting, and he was there three months. Then the biggest issue I had was whenever they said he had progressed to the most he could progress in his rehab, they gave me very, very short notice. I know that your insurance will stop at a certain point too. They tell me on a Friday that he needed to be checked out, and he needed 24-hour care. He lives alone, so when am I going to get that before Monday. In the rehab wing, the rooms are very nice. They are big and you have a room by yourself. They have a nice television, a couch, and a closet for your belongings. Their rooms were very, very nice. The facility was beautiful. My dad did not go very much to the dining area because he was in the rehab area. He had an injury, so he pretty much stayed in his room. They did bring him the food to his room. They have like a big dining area that the nursing home people will go into. They have a very nice gym area for people that were there for rehab (like a rehabilitation area) with all kinds of exercise mats and equipment. They definitely have the nicest one. This was my third one, and they had the nicest facility as far as rehab. He couldn't do a whole lot because he was kind of sick in bed because of his injury, but they had lots of activities. I saw them playing games. They had lots of church services, where a pastor would come on the weekends. They had a beauty salon and a hair place where men get their haircut too. They had a movie night as well. They had one person that was specifically there for activities. They had a good library for people who wanted to read. I tried to put him in assisted living after he left there, and when they called Amberwood they said some ugly things about him. They said he was making comments to some of the nurses. A couple of the other places turned me down because they said they cannot take him in. They made it sound like he was an abuser or a sexual pervert, and that was not true. My dad was a retired policeman. I did have a problem when they were constantly trying to get him to give up his room several times and move over to the nursing home area. I was against that because in the nursing home area you have to share a room. You don't have a room of your own, and you share a room with somebody when you're going to Medicaid or whatever. He was in a lot of pain, and I felt like he needed to be on the rehab part because that was where the gym was. Actually when we first got there, they thought he was going to need nursing home care. They were going to put him in a nursing home, but the hospital had set him up for rehab because they thought he wasn't going to get good enough. Other than that, they are good. They started their day and got out early and did their rehab early."

"The rooms are smaller, but always clean, the staff are friendly, attentive and responded to my friend's needs w/in a reasonable amount of time, and there were always activities available for all the residents to participate in (if they so desired). There are different options available such as private rooms, a large dining area and a smaller dining area but my friend likes to eat in his room because the larger dining area can get a little noisy, the food is better than hospital food and they serve a variety of entrees. The occasionally have outings for the residents to go out to pizza restaurants together (if they are not restricted due to health concerns). My friend has been living here for 4 (+) years and says he wouldn't want to transfer to any other facilities because he has formed personal bonds with staff, enjoys the company of his fellow residents and is quite content with this facility. "My mother is now at Alcoa Pines Health and Rehabilitation. It seemed homier, and the rooms were very bright. They have bingo. They have games. They polish their nails one day. They do all kinds of stuff. The staff members are very friendly and nice. The upkeep is excellent. The food smells good. I've been there when they were eating, and it smelled wonderful. They have a salon. They have a wonderful front porch. It looks like an old-timey southern front porch, and I imagine in the summertime, it's nice. They could go and eat outside if they want to. It's homey."

"My mother was in Colonel Glenn Nursing and Rehab for 2 months. They communicated with my daughter. I didn't like that I received the notification on a Monday that I needed her to be moved on Thursday. I wasn't putting her back to the other facility, so it was kind of stressful, but they did give me an extra week, and I was able to find something and get her moved, so they worked with me on that. Whenever I called, I would get information from the nurse, and find out exactly how her care was going. The food was fine, and I think the therapy was good."

"Overall, the Springs Chenal was an exceptional place to stay for inpatient physical therapy rehab. I was there for two weeks, and I felt like I was catered to by the staff who went out of their way to accommodate my every need. To the kitchen, maintenance to the transportation staff, all the nurses and CNA’s, were all friendly and helpful and made my stay a pleasant experience . The OT and PT staff are so knowledgeable, make you work hard but were so much fun to work with."

"I was at the Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Good Shepherd for rehab. The wound care nurses and CNA nurses were very helpful. They have a therapeutic session area. It has different therapists and different areas where you learn to walk, stand, and do physical activities. It's always kept clean and neat, and no unusual smells or anything going on like that. It is so beautiful. The flooring is all kept up, and the restroom. Everything is under quality cleaning and care. When I was doing my time here, everything was nice. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all served at the appropriate time. They have a good variety of things with vegetables and different side dishes and dishes. They will always check with you to see what you can eat and what you can't eat. They worked with me, not just physically, but they worked with coordination. They work with occupational and even mental or psychological, all working with you."

"My mother will be moving into Parkway Health Center. The reason we chose them was the room is private and it's a good size. It's 150 square feet. I asked about the call light, and how they get notified if she needs something or whatever because where she's at now, only the light goes on outside. At this place, the nurse gets paged, the light goes on outside the room, and the nurse's station or front desk gets alerted also. The price was significantly less because it's self-pay for a while. She's got to use her money until she can get on Medicaid. It's nice, secure, and it's got a security guard at the front. They stop everybody that's not a resident there. I didn't meet with the staff except for the admissions department. It wasn't chaotic when you walked in. It was a lot calmer than where she's at now. It was quiet. They have a courtyard and an activity room, and some of them are just watching TV. I think that they have their own appliances in their room. The only person I interacted with was very helpful."

"My dad was a resident of The Springs of John Barrow Health & Rehabilitation. The care was good, and the follow up was good. The staff was very helpful. Each time I called, someone answered the phone, and they were helpful each time. I called to get information and follow up on questions, and they did a good job. The communication was good. Their nurse practitioner was good and kept me in the loop. It was a good experience throughout the days that he was still living there. The staff was fine."

"My mom lives in Sandalwood Healthcare in little rock. Sandalwood Healthcare is very kind in that they all let my mom use their phone service to talk to me and my dad at no charge. Sandalwood Healthcare also has very friendly nurses and is not too noisy. In addition, Sandalwood Healthcare has free cable for everyone and a nice entry area with a HD TV. Sandalwood Healthcare is a good place for anyone who needs the help living. Sandalwood Healthcare gives my mom the care that she needs that no one else in my family could give due to obligations. I know that Sandalwood Healthcare is a facility that use to be All-American care and ever since Sandalwood Healthcare has took over the new owners have not made any major changes to the place and I am happy for my mom's sake that new owner did not affect my mom's care. "I am staying in Hickory Heights Health & Rehab. I've come here for rehab several times before when I've been in the hospital. I like the people here. I'm in their nursing home now, and they have good patient care. The staff is all considerate, too. Some days the food is good, some days it's bad; it just depends. Every day we have things to do. We have bingo and we play cards. We have a hairdressing class, where we get our hair and nails done. We also have a big backyard area, where we can go out any time we want to. They keep the facility well-cleaned. Someone comes in here every day to do the cleaning. I think it's a little expensive, but all of them are."

"My grandmother was recently admitted to this facility, and although our family was initially unfamiliar with this type of nursing care, we genuinely believe it has been the best decision for her. At previous facilities, she appeared visibly distressed and unhappy. However, since arriving here, we have noticed a remarkable positive change; each visit reveals her looking more vibrant and content. She frequently praises the staff for their kindness and responsiveness, noting how promptly they assist her whenever needed. Additionally, she has developed a fondness for the meals provided, which is notable given her previously selective eating habits. The accommodations are comfortable and inviting, helping her feel at ease as if she were still at home. Overall, this facility has provided excellent care for my grandmother, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a nurturing environment for their loved ones. You can be confident they will be well cared for here."

"Mom is in the rehab wing at Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, Inc. after having a stroke and she's been receiving help with pretty much everything. She wasn't able to walk after the stroke. Now, she's able to walk using a walker, so that's good progress. It is a really good facility. The therapists have been really good. The people have been very kind to her and have taken really good care of her. Since we're there every day, we pretty much know how things are going and it is going well. She likes the aides and the nurses. She has a nice room with enough space for the wheelchair (when she had to use that for a while). Everything is nice in the room. Except there are only two chairs. So, when more people come to visit, we have to go find more chairs, and one of the chairs is kind of worn out and has a hole in the arm, but otherwise, everything is nice and looks nice. For the most part, the food is good. Some nights they have spicy or greasy foods and she doesn't like that, but 75% of the time, she likes the food."

"On July 18, 2019 we had to make a decision that my mother had discussed with us in the past. She stated "never to put her in a nursing home". But my mother had a stroke and she required 24hr total care. My sister and I both work and we had no one to take care of her. So we decided we had no other choice but to put her in a nursing home. We called around an was told she would have to be put on a waiting list. We called Cottage Lane and was told theyhad beds. Of course we researched and checked reviews . Cottage Lane had some good reviews and some bad reviews. I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me on making this decision. Holy spirit told me not to worry about those reviews check it out for yourself. And I did just that. We decided to put mom at Cottage Lane. And I must say never judge a book by its cover. My mom had a stroke, loss her ability to talk an wasn't moving at all. We was asked about possibly putting her on hospice. But God!! The staff and therapists are awesome. I can not thank the staff for all that they do and have done. She is moving both arms and speaking some words. Praise the Lord. The therapy team is amazing. They have worked really hard with my mom she has come a long way. I want to thank you all from the depth of my heart. Sandra Mallett"

"I have visited The Waters of West Dixon, and it was a very rundown facility. I could see trash piled up on some of the patios. There is a filled-up dumpster with trash rolling out of it. I was going to go on a tour of both their nursing side and their assisted living. The patients appeared (in my opinion) to be drugged or more or less tranquilized in some way. The ones that were walking (not all of them were in wheelchairs) were dragging their heads. Either they were dragging them down the hall to hold themselves up or they were like slumped over in the seat. It was horrific. I turned around and left. I talked to a staff person on the phone, but I did not talk to them once I got to the facility. It was so bad. I did not see anything except what I could see from looking down the halls. I peeked into a few of the rooms, and they did not look clean. A few of them in the assisted living had a little back patio outside; they were full of garbage and bags of trash. I was inquiring about nursing and assisted living. There was no one in there that I could find working. They had a front desk but there was no one there. I walked down the hall looking for somebody. I did not see anybody in there. I did not see any staff. I talked to them on the phone, and they were nice."

"The staff members at the facility were really nice when I was greeted at the front entrance. One particular day I went to visit my great grandfather and his room was dirty and he needed some assistance. There was no one available for help, when called someone many times and we were told that they were short staff. Therefore, I did take the time to assist him with his needs. I wasn't really impressed with the service because no one stop by to see if he needed anything. The building needed some updating and there weren't many areas around to take a shower because they were having plumbing problems. After all, I was just not impressed and I was afraid to leave because of the level of care that was provided. He didn't need much help, but when needed someone should be available within a reasonable time frame. "

"The Blossoms at Midtown Rehab & Nursing Center is a very good place, and I'm very happy here. I have a two-bedroom unit that I share with another woman, and it's fine. We have a TV, and we watch whatever we want. We get served food three times a day: breakfast, lunch, and supper/dinner. Food and the staff are all pretty good. Every couple of days, they do something out in the lobby. They do fine on the maintenance."
