My mother will be moving into Parkway Health Center. The reason we chose them was the room is private and it's a good size. It's 150 square feet. I asked about the call light, and how they get notified if she needs something or whatever because where she's at now, only the light goes on outside. At this place, the nurse gets paged, the light goes on outside the room, and the nurse's station or front desk gets alerted also. The price was significantly less because it's self-pay for a while. She's got to use her money until she can get on Medicaid. It's nice, secure, and it's got a security guard at the front. They stop everybody that's not a resident there. I didn't meet with the staff except for the admissions department. It wasn't chaotic when you walked in. It was a lot calmer than where she's at now. It was quiet. They have a courtyard and an activity room, and some of them are just watching TV. I think that they have their own appliances in their room. The only person I interacted with was very helpful.
