"We went to Fox Ridge. The lady that we talked to was very nice and willing to assist. It’s very nice and clean. The staff from the administrators, directors and the nursing director, was nvery nice and helpful. They had an activity room, laundry, and beauty shop. They have been excellent. "

"My Aunt is a resident of Mt.Carmel Community. At the moment we are pleased with the care he is receiving there. She likes it there and says it seems like home. The building is old but the interior was clean and did not smell. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Her appearance was clean and neat. The one negative is the building is not air-conditioned sometimes. There were many fans but still very warm. At this time I'm pleased with the care my Aunt is receiving. She also seems to be eating well. "

"The appearance of Ridgemere was just impressive. It's a newer facility. It was bright and pretty. We had a scheduled appointment to see the rooms, and we were able to do that. The staff kindly showed us all through the facility. It was just very impressive and very clean. People walking around looked happy. They were playing dominoes in the breakroom. The restaurant was very impressive. It was a higher quality place than the other place, and the price wasn't all that different. They did have the memory care available, which my mother-in-law did not need yet. She's pretty independent right now, but she's 93 and they had different levels of care and that also was reflected in how much you paid, which is understandable. That was encouraging as far as if she should decline, that she would go to the next level of care. It was a happy place. You just had a good feeling when you walked in. I saw people with little pets, but it didn't smell like animals living there. We did meet a housekeeper and a beautician, but we didn't meet a lot of the staff. It was pretty much just the lady who gave us the tour and she was very kind and very informative. The menu itself was very impressive and they had daily specials plus a menu you could order off of if that wasn't your cup of tea. You can get it to go. You can sit in the restaurant or the dining facility. They have a little laundry facility and a beauty shop. It appears to have everything my mother-in-law might need. When you walked in, it just looked beautiful. They had it decorated for Christmas and such big, open, airy areas with lots of sun. She's on the waiting list. Everything is on ground level. There's nothing where she's got to take an elevator to get around or whatever. Everything was conveniently located."

"This is a wonderful facility, which I would go to visit my great-grandmother many times for visits. There is plenty of parking and the landscaping is really nice. Next, the inside of the building is fully secured. There is always a security staff member that works up front. The building is really nice with an antique look. The staff members are really nice. My great-grandmother lived on the 12th floor in a nice studio type of apartment. She had a kitchen, restroom, small living room area and area for her bedroom and other furniture. I was so impressed of how nice this elderly facility was. She was very independent, so she would cook for herself and clean her own room. And if she needed assistance you could ask someone for help by contacting the front desk. I think the great thing about the facility is that the rooms had smoke detectors, which was good because sometimes she would forget that she left something on the stove. Also, we would have family gatherings in the down stair banquet area. This area could be used at anytime you like. And there would be many activities held down stairs as well. I really impressed with this facility. "

"We found Parkstone Place because it is in the area where my family is. They were very friendly, it was clean and neat, and that was good. Those were my first impressions. My room has a small kitchen, a little eating area, a living room, a bedroom, and a bath. It is very adequate. We have an outside patio. The food is very good. It's healthy food. The staff is very helpful. All you have to do is ask. As for activities, they have exercise and bingo. We have a Christmas party today. They have an exercise room. They have exercise every morning on a DVD. They also have a beauty shop. I'm very happy here. I have just been here for two months. What stands out to me about this place is the friendliness of the people. "

"This is a great facility, I have a love one living in this facility. The staff members are always nice each time I visit. The outside environment is really nice and quiet; when I sit outside with my family member we always enjoy the nice patio area and the view as well. The inside of the facility is really nice with nice decorations. The rooms are really nice and spacious, which includes a large bathroom. My family member always tell me that are satisfied with the facility and they really enjoy living there. Also, the facility has living room areas that people can go and sit and talk with their friends/family members as well as watch television. I think this is really nice for my family member because they don't have to stay in their apartment all day. And the facility provides other activities as well to keep them busy and happy. And the facility is very safe and staff members are always available if needed. I think this is a great facility and the staff members are very caring. "

"My father stayed in this facility for a few weeks, until he found a better facility to live in. I did visit the facility on many occasions because I had to take my father to pay bills or go shopping. Therefore, I only seen the outside of the building on many occasions. The landscaping was nice and the area was very shady. On one particular day my dad told me to come inside and I went inside and the apartment definitely needed some updated. The bathroom was in very bad condition. And my father told me that when he needed something fixed nothing would take days. After all, he told me he was going to be moving soon, so I was excited because my dad had some health problems and needed to be staying in an assisted living environment that was up to code and that provided emergency help if needed. This facility was more of a really old outdated hotel. I didn't see any staff members on my visit, but my dad mentioned they were nice, but he was just not impressed with the services that was provided. "

"Woodland Heights' rooms were good. It was a very nice, new, and up-to-date facility. The staff was very friendly and professional. The place is very clean and I saw a library, a church, a meditation room where they do exercises, a game room, and they have a lot of activities. I also saw a swimming pool and the van or bus which takes them places."

"I have moved into Good Shepherd Retirement Community. This experience is really good. I've never been in an apartment, but this is a really good one. The people here are so nice. All the employees are just outstanding. The food is good. I have no complaints at all about this experience. This is a spacious apartment. It has a kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. I have not seen all of them, but there's a one-bedroom. I understand that there's an efficiency also. One of the things I really enjoy is the book club. They have a library. They have a person who comes here from the library to conduct the book club. We take a month for a book. When we do it, it's really a very good thing. We have a beauty salon here. We have dominos and bingo. I can't think of all the things that they offer, but we have exercises. We have a sidewalk all the way around the building. We have long spacious halls. People have devices, such as wheelchairs, and walkers, if they need things to help them get around. There's also a lake. Some people walk down to the lake. We had a fishing derby last month. They're just wonderful and caring. We have a dining room, and the people in there are just so efficient and so caring about the people. It's just wonderful being in there. The food tastes good. They do a good job. We have an adequate menu. They serve breakfast and lunch. We have our own dinner, but they usually have soup and things that they give us. If we want to bring it back to our room and warm it up, we can do that. They have a facility that you can drive under for getting in and out of a car. Some of us have vehicles, and we have parking for those. If we are transported here, there is a place where we can get out and never get wet or anything. We go into a wide, spacious door that opens automatically. There's an elevator that goes to the four floors of this building. It's really big and very good. You can do anything you want to do. If you want to stay in your room and read, you can do that or you can take part in the facilities if they're having them. They have a calendar that they always send out at the beginning of the month, and it has all the activities in it. We have floor meetings; each floor has a meeting once a month. If there are any problems, we can bring them up. You can also say something about any of the activities. It's just really great. I just really like it. I think the value is good compared to other places."

"My mom is currently at Parkway Village. It's excellent. It's very homey. It's warm. It's got a fireplace in the large living area. It's just a nice, good atmosphere. The staff is excellent. They're registered nurses, and they take very good care of my mom. They play bingo, they have dog visits, and they have painting and music. The food, from what I understand and what I've seen so far, is very good. They have a very clean, very nice, and inviting dining room."

"The Blake at Chenal Valley didn't have the assisted living that we could actually look at, but we looked at a two-bedroom independent living. It was excellent. It's a brand-new facility. Everything is new and very pristine. We want to go back and look at the assisted living, but we haven't had a chance to do that since my sister has been ill. We didn't really meet any staff. We just met with one of the property managers and she gave us the tour. She was just excellent. We went to a presentation at The Blake before we visited it. They served us lunch, and it was at a restaurant, so it was wonderful. If you were in assisted living, you got all your meals. The amenities depend on what kind of care you needed. They weren't finished with the construction."

"Courtyard Cottages was a great place to live, they’re friendly people, and it’s like a little community. I was there for 2 years. Kathy was a really sweet lady and helpful. They had a nice kitchen setup with a full stove, full refrigerator, washer and dryer, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a big living area. They also had an exercise room, and a room they could have parties."

"I liked College Square for its affordable price. It’s a big community with all kinds of activities. My dad has been there for two months now. He’s a picky eater, but he’s OK with the food. He’s been particularly pleased with the staff. "
