My aunt lived at The Blake at Chenal Valley, which is on Rahling Road. It's assisted living, and it's new. It is a spectacular place, the food is good, and the rooms are just phenomenal. The facility is just really grand. They have some independent cottages that have two-car garages. They don't have many independent houses, but their assisted living is just huge. It's a big, beautiful building on top of a hill. Their rooms are nice, and it's all brand-new. They have stuff going on all the time for the people who live there. My aunt had cancer, and I know that they would take her to her doctor visits because my cousin lived out of town. She loved living there. She was sick, so she was limited to what she could do, but she loved being around people, so she would play cards and board games every day with people. They treated her very well.

We went to see The Blake at Chenal Valley's memory care and it was excellent. It's new and it was just everything you could want. Everybody we met, including the marketing lady who gave us the tour, was excellent. We walked through the dining room and everybody seemed to be loving the food. I think the place is only two years old so the building itself is beautiful. They had crafts, music, and an area where they watched movies.

My mom will be moving into The Blake at Chenal Valley. It's just beautiful when you walk in. It's a brand-new facility that just opened up in December of 2022. Everybody was nice. The rooms are beautiful in the way they're laid out. The dining areas were great. I ate there, and the food is wonderful. It was just all new and fresh. They don't have studios, there are apartments; you get a living room and a bedroom. They have arts and crafts, a movie theater, a physical therapy room, and a beauty shop, where they offer not only to get your hair done and you can get manicures, pedicures, and massages.

The Blake at Chenal Valley didn't have the assisted living that we could actually look at, but we looked at a two-bedroom independent living. It was excellent. It's a brand-new facility. Everything is new and very pristine. We want to go back and look at the assisted living, but we haven't had a chance to do that since my sister has been ill. We didn't really meet any staff. We just met with one of the property managers and she gave us the tour. She was just excellent. We went to a presentation at The Blake before we visited it. They served us lunch, and it was at a restaurant, so it was wonderful. If you were in assisted living, you got all your meals. The amenities depend on what kind of care you needed. They weren't finished with the construction.
