My mother is at Brookdale Chenal Heights. It's very clean and they put a lot of effort into keeping it that way. It has a very homey atmosphere. I like that and it's very comforting. My mother likes it, and that's the important thing. It's a very homey kind of place. It wasn't sterile or antiseptic the way that some institutions can be. This is full of compassionate people, and my mother relates well to that. We went with Brookdale for that reason. My mother has been there for about three months now. I saw them playing bingo and I saw them having a movie night. They have a piano there, and some of the residents could play piano, and they would play the piano and sing. It's very nice. I had a meal there; I had fish and chips there. With this facility, it's important to know that you can drop in for lunch, but they want 24-hour notice. That's kind of important. So if you drop in for lunch and you give them 24-hour notice, you don't have to pay for the lunch, so you can just drop in and eat.

I toured Brookdale Chenal Heights. It was just a classier place. It's kind of like comparing it to a cardboard house and a solid wood house. The furnishings were just updated, and the fixtures and the overall look of the place just had a more classy look to it versus a nursing home look. The food is excellent.

I've toured Brookdale Chenal Heights and I love everything about it. I like the size of the rooms, the studio's size looks incredible. The neatness of the place, the gathering room, and the dining room, all that was wonderful. The staff who gave us the tour couldn't have been nicer, and very knowledgeable. They had games and different things. Their courtyard was very nice and they had a beauty salon.

My husband has moved into Brookdale Chenal Heights. They have become like family. They treat my husband as if he were one of their relatives. The food is good. The service is wonderful, and we have been very happy there. We chose it because it met our needs. We just felt like this would be a good place. He is in memory care.

My father is a resident at Brookdale and we, his family, feel that we have dad in the right place. The staff is professional and caring. They not only know their residents, but they know the families of their residents. When we visit him it is not at all uncommon for a staff member to stop us in the hallway to share something about dad and how they feel he is getting along. He is never forced to participate in activities, but they never fail to try to include him. His apartment is kept clean, he has social opportunities, professional medical help, good nutrition--he's safe and happy.

I toured Brookdale Chenal Heights. I liked the staff there. I liked the number of staff they had on hand in their memory unit. Everybody was friendly. The staff who assisted me with the tour was friendly and knowledgeable. The place was clean, spacious, and well laid out, and it looked like it was well-kept. The rooms were nice. They were fully furnished and I liked the layout. They had a small outdoor courtyard in the memory care unit.

Brookdale Chenal Heights is very friendly. The staff was extremely helpful in answering all my questions. They gave a very thorough tour explaining all the available amenities. They have three meals a day, nursing care on staff 24 hours, and very nice apartments. The apartment was very bright with nice big windows. It's got a separate bedroom from the living area. There's a small but functional kitchen, given that my aunt doesn't have to do any cooking. It looked very well-maintained and freshly painted. The dining area was very inviting. The food looked very good. Everyone that I saw in the dining room seemed very happy and had nice good comments to say about the food. The grounds were very nice, too. The building itself was in great condition. It's very pleasant and nicely decorated.

Brookdale Chenal Heights was all on one level, which was nice, and seemed to be a little bit smaller of a facility. It was a little bit more institutional than the other one I saw, just because of how it was laid out, but it was nice and they offered some different things. The apartments were nice. They made a big point of introducing me to the nurses and any staff member that we passed, like the physical therapist that was working or the chef in the kitchen. The tour person made a point of making sure I knew everyone and everyone seemed to have been there for quite a while, which is a good thing.

Brookdale Chenal Heights was very clean and very attractive. Quincy was extremely knowledgeable and capable. The room that we would be picking looked very nice and very spacious. The dining area was also nice. It was open, light, and airy. The facility was in very good shape, the room especially, and they also had a workout place, a place to take women and have their hair done, and areas for games.

This facility has an amazing E. D. who has high expectations for her staff and involves them all in resident care. However, the biggest problem is the inability to maintain enough employees to cover all the residents’ needs as quickly as desirable. When employees can find jobs paying double their earnings at places like Target, I place blame on corporate for not offering competitive compensation.

There are some staff who are amazing and have worked so hard to keep the quality of the facility excellent. COVID has been very difficult, and there has been a lot of turnover. I am not happy that more staff are not vaccinated against COVID. Robin has been working, I believe, to improve the quality of the food. The state of the facilities is disrepair, and that seems to be a corporate, budgeting issue to me. I expect that to be addressed for the price that we are paying. For example, a gutter has come off and been hanging on the ground for months. The back patio was awful -- dirty, old furniture, empty planters with an old halloween pumpkin that was still there in the spring. Heather, the activity director has worked hard to improve the activities that are offered during COVID, and she is very good to encourage mom to participate. I know that some of the staff have worked extremely hard and they truly care for the residents. I appreciate them so much!

The facility is grossly understaffed. The facility is trying to fill empty apartments, but are not adding staff to care for those additional residents. They should not be adding residents when they cannot meet the current residents needs. Response times to resident call buttons has increased substantially, not a good thing when you have folks that need assistance. Food is mediocre. My family member does not eat chicken or fish. When he was presented with a chicken sandwich for his main meal, he was told that was all they had available. He ate ice cream for dinner.

The food service is generic at best. Special needs are not easily accommodated ( my loved one has no teeth and is frequently served over cooked meat which cannot be chewed) laundry service is not careful to return individual’s goods to the right client. Scare staff has consistently been caring and considerate.

Brookdale Chenal Heights looked like a nursing home, but the room was clean. The person who assisted me was very kind, very helpful and willing to share her own personal anecdote. They have a laundry room that the residents could use themselves if they prefer.

Brookdale Chenal Heights was my second choice. The rooms were nice, comfier, and modern. The library was really good, well-stocked, and well taken care of. It looked like people were using it. They had puzzles out, and people were working on them. The dining room was quite sufficient.

I visited Brookdale Chenal Heights. The person in charge showed me around and he was very nice. However, I sent him an email and asked him a question and he assured me that he would call me the next day, but he never called. I called him sometime later and asked him about it and he answered my question. I didn't ask him why he didn't call me back, and he didn't offer to tell me why he didn't, which wasn't very professional. However, it was a very nice place. I didn't get to interact much with any of the other staff or see many of the patients there because it was later in the afternoon and it was right after they had eaten. The rooms were very nice. The facility was very nice, clean, and fairly new. It's a beautiful place.

The business approach by phone contact was very warm and inviting; so cordial, I accepted to view their facilities and try the lunch...hope it goes as well as the invite!

Brookdale Chenal Heights was nice, but the rooms were too small for two people. The staff was really nice and helpful. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

Brookdale was a nice facility with reasonable rates. The hostess who greeted us was very helpful. It was recently remodeled and in pretty good shape. They had a game room and TV room, exercises, and more with a calendar of three activities per day.

My mother was in Emeritus (Brookdale Chenal Heights) before. Emeritus was lacking in a lot of things and had a very institutional feeling. You could smell the Lysol and the urine. It’s for very low functioning people. It didn’t seem to have different levels; they treated the highly functioning people the same way as the people who couldn’t even feed themselves.

We chose Brookdale Chenal Heights for my father-in-law. We like that the rooms are bigger than the others we looked at. The staff seems more engage. They have a training program that goes all the way from their caregivers down to the regular staff workers, the ones who pick trash in the rooms and janitorial staff. We think the location is a lot better off. They have church services, trips to the malls, trips to go look at Christmas lights, outings to go to restaurants, and we are pretty happy with the entertainment they have to offer. As far as activities, everything is equal. So far, we are very happy. We are really impressed with the staff. Most importantly, my father-in-law is happy there.

Our parents gave been here for almost 3 years now, it is a really nice place, they keep it clean, but I have to say the food quality has went down as far as being food that older people like and can eat over the years it was really different when they first came here to live. The have been losing weight pretty rapidly over the last year, it's just not the kind of food people of their generation are used to, it's not only them there are LOTS of residents that don't eat their food, some of it they don't even know what it is, they ask the servers and they say they don't know either.

It’s a very well-run facility. The people working there are nice and accommodating when we visited the place. They didn’t have any vacancy at that time so Brookdale Chenal Heights was not an option for us but I really think it’s a great place.

Emeritus at Chenal Heights was the first place we looked at when we're looking for places. We chose this community because it was in the right part of the town, they had the right people and it was the first choice. They have one-bedroom and studio apartments. My mother is in a studio apartment. They do have activities. They have the usual things in assisted living facilities. They have games, movies and they can take you around if you need to. Food is good. The dining room is very nice. The staff seems very nice and they seem to care a lot.

Emeritus is very clean, very neat, and very well taken care of. I like the staff. They're very nice and helpful. The food is very good. My mom is not really social right now. She still has a very bad hearing problem, so she doesn't get out a lot. But the place is neat, has a very nice front, and inside the rooms are very nice.

The staff in Emeritus at Chenal Heights treated me fine, I had no complaints. But the place is a bit fancy. It didn't look like what my dad needed necessarily.

I have a relative who lives in Chenal Heights Retirement Living. The environment is pleasing and homey. The employees always seem to be attentive and kind to the people. The meals are served in smaller dining rooms so that the employees can watch over the patients a little more carefully than they would. Their menu varies because some people require special diets. The regular meals look appetizing. The place is very clean and doesn't have an odor about it. They have a wonderful common area. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

It is a very nice facility my grandfather who was very independent didn't like the fact of having to live there. But soon after he was a resident he began to actually like living there which i thought would never happen and he was very relaxed and i was to because i didn't have to worry about him all the time. I would highly recommend this facility who has any friend or relative that needs assisted living. because my grandfather loved this place and im sure your relative would too. So don't be afraid to go to this excellent care provider they are for sure one of the best care providers out there. Trust me they are very reliable and very trustworthy, well they were when my grandfather went. Except my grandfather did have one complaint about the food not being very good but other than that they were very good. Also the place was very clean and smelled really good like flowers which to me is a really good thing.

Before my mother was committed to the assisted living facility, she was becoming increasingly distant and non-communicative. She rarely left the home and when she did, never seemed to enjoy herself. She missed her health and her deceased husband, but perhaps most of all she missed independence. She did not like the idea of her children helping her when there were other options. That is when we stumbled upon Chenal Heights. Chenal is one of the most prestigious and safe communities in Arkansas and home to many financial institutions and fine recreational facilities. The assisted living facility in Chenal was no less more spectacular than the community that it resides in. The staff was very helpful and understanding. They valued my mother's independent spirit and seemed quite knowledgeable in their health. We visit whenever we want, and are never refused. The facility itself is state of the art. There are beautiful televisions, medical devices, and lounging facility. The food is equivalent to a nice restaurant as well as plentiful. The place is so clean that it reminds me of a hospital. Overall I love the Chenal facility and so does my mother. It makes me think that I should hurry up and get old.
