We encountered two types of rooms with my mother's stay; one was the equivalent of a traditional sized hotel room. The other was a slightly smaller appearing room, but it had a kitchenette. They each had their pros and cons. The open room was better for visiting with guests, but I think the room with kitchenette was more functional for mom. The food was balanced nutritionally and pretty good for cafeteria style food. There were some meals that my mother really enjoyed such as the times when the chef would make something special or when he used the outside grill. My mother also enjoyed the games, especially bingo and scrabble. I found the nurses to be responsive and knowledgeable about how my mother was doing day in and day out. There is a floor nurse named Jacquelline who was clearly good at her job, and she seemed to genuinely care for my mother, which is something money cannot buy.

I visited this facility and was provided a tour by Mrs. Beets. She alone left a good impression, answering all of my questions and insuring that her staff goes over and beyond for there residents. The rooms are very spacious and nice they have multiple options as well depending on what you prefer. I will most definitely be considering this place for my loved one.

I am a resident of Willow Grove of Sherwood. They offer a lot of activities for the members. They have good, nutritious food, for the most part. They don't have the top food all the time, but they have edible food and most people seem to like most of it. Activities are devotionals, walking, other exercises, and games. They're well received and well attended. The staff is well trained. They do a good job with everything. They treat everybody with courtesy. They seem to be available for everything you need answers on. The maintenance division has capable people, but they have a lot of work to do for the time they have to do it. They seem to be busy trying to keep up with everything they need to be doing. It's very expensive according to my standards, but they do a good job as far as I can tell. It all seems to work out very well.

We found this facility years ago when we needed a place for our Dad that was in need of care that we were unable to provide. Our Mom went with him and after he passed she remains a resident here. The staff is amazing and very attentive. The food is wonderful. The rooms are very inviting. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help out when needed. We don't have to worry that our Mom is being cared for and her needs met.

This facility and its staff are wonderful. It is clean, recently updated with new furniture in the common areas, newly painted, and newly installed flooring. The resident's rooms provide a considerable amount of living space, on suite bathroom with walk-in shower and seat. They have large common areas with big screen televisions, beautifully decorated for each season and holidays. They have church services, games, a library stocked with books and puzzle's, Bingo, Ice Cream socials, concerts, and the list goes on. My mother at first had a difficult time transitioning into assisted living. She has been at Willow Grove of Sherwood for 2 1/2 years and she now calls it her HOME! She loves the staff, and they love her right back. The staff is like no other that I have seen. They all go the extra mile to accommodate the residents when they can, and they treat the residents with respect, dignity, and compassion. I am so thankful that I and my family chose this facility for my mother! We all have a peace of mind in knowing that she is cared for and always treated well!

Willow Grove has been a godsend to our family. Our mother was placed there from rehab and then we convinced my dad, who has alzheimer's, to join her. She spent the last 6 months of her life there and was well cared for. Dad now considers Willow Grove his home. He loves his room, thinks the food is great, enjoys some activities, and loves spending time in the beautiful courtyard. The staff is attentive to his needs. We are so glad he lives at Willow Grove.

The rooms at Willow Grove are very nice. It was exactly what my mom needed. It was big enough to accommodate several of her favorite pieces of furniture to include chairs for guests. The food was good and a wide variety. The facility was also so great when they knew it wasn't a meal that mom enjoyed they would prepare her a grilled cheese, which was always her favorite. This was not needed often but on occasion. The staff was just wonderful. We developed awesome relationships with the staff. They literally became like family. This eased leaving her there when we had to leave. Though we were there at some point almost every day...I did not worry about her one little bit the few times none of us could get there.

My grandparents have both been residents of Willow Grove. The amount of love and care they both received is immeasurable. As my family had to make the difficult decision that it was time for them to receive full time care, Willow Grove was placed in their path for a reason. We all know it was a complete God moment! My grandmother lived there for several months and then my grandad followed. They were able to live together, which was a huge blessing! When my grandmother passed away last year, she received her hospice care there. We had constant support and encouragement. One of my grandmothers final moments of awareness was with one of her favorite nurses there, Ms. Whitney. The staff all came to pay their respects, and many attended her service. Through such a hard time, they showered our family with love and respect! My grandad has continued to live there. They have helped him transition to this next phase of life so well. Willow Grove provides countless activities and programs, excursions, and creates a welcoming environment for families to visit! Our family is beyond thankful for Willow Grove!

Willow Grove has been the best place for my dad ( and my mom until her passing last year). The staff goes above and beyond their job description. They truly care for the residents and families. The facility is very well kept by maintenance and housekeeping. It is always clean. My dad's room is spotless as well. My dad loves the food that is served. The meals are always fresh and the chef cooks a variety of meals. The dining staff are all so accommodating to the residents as well. My dad enjoys sitting and walking around the courtyard, which is well landscaped. Willow Grove is definitely home for dad.

Willow Grove is a safe place for our loved ones, who are independent, yet need a little bit of help too. My 90 year old grandfather has lived at Willow Grove for seven months now, and is thriving thanks to their great care. His social calendar is more full than mine!

Willow Grove of Sherwood was nice, very clean, and very open. I liked the fact that it didn't seem crowded. The apartments were nice. They were painting some of the apartments. It was nice. There were some activities in the front. They had some people that were working on a puzzle and then it looked like there was an area where they played checkers. They had a page posted in the rooms where they had activities on it every day, and every day they had at least two activities. The people that were there seemed very happy. A lot of them were out in the hall talking and carrying on with some of the staff. They seemed friendly. It was a nice place. It looked like good food, too. We were there around lunchtime, and it smelled wonderful. If it tasted as good as it smelled, I'm sure it was good. It looked like they had a good variety of food.

Willow Grove of Sherwood was a convenient facility for my friends. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean, and it suited them just fine. They had an open house when we went, and the food was wonderful. They had a nice patio and garden.

Willow Grove has a staff that is knowledgeable, caring, attentive, and kind. My mother has only been a resident for two months after living in her home for 40+ years but she already calls Willow Grove “home” and other residents her “friends”. I couldn’t find any better place for her or the level of care she is receiving.

The Leadership and Staff of Willow Grove are exceptional people who really care and go the extra mile to make there residents feel special. My Mother took a sudden downtown and I needed assisted living support with 4 days notice. Willow Grove went above and beyond and had her room ready to go when she was released from rehab. Clean well designed rooms, professional staff, great activities and close oversight of residents needs. Operational Excellence is how I define Willow Grove.

The only one I visited was this, and my mother is staying there now. She loves bingo, and they have bible studies and worship services; she’s been to those. She loves the garden in the compound in the central area, and its got building all around it. They’ve got flowers and bird feeders. She just loves it; she’s had a good time, and she loves the time. It’s very clean; they redecorate often. They put some new carpets in and have done a number of things before my mom moved in. The staff is phenomenal -- very friendly and courteous. They have been doing a good job. We have been impressed.

It was a good place with nice rooms, but they did not have an opening. This was the place I would have preferred Mom to go. It did not have an overpowering smell like in other places. I've heard good things from people I know.

A family member is here. The thing that I liked most about the place is how nice and caring the people are. We chose a regular apartment, and it was adequate. The food is delicious. With their activities, he goes to work out in the gym area every day. They have a pool table. The place is very homey.

My visit was fine, and I enjoyed it. The staff was quite realistic. I only saw one room, and it was not going to be large enough, but it was fine. There was a religious service going on as part of the activities, and when I went there they were signing up for an upcoming craft.

The facility is very clean and nicely appointed. The entry area is not just a facade like other places but truely an inviting area and carried through out the facility. If you are contemplating coming here or looking for a place for a loved one, it would be very difficult to find a nicer facility or a more helpful staff.
