"Mt. Carmel had a religious overtone. The bathroom was in the front of the apartment in the living room area, so you had to walk from the bedroom all the way to the living room area to get to the bathroom. If Dad had to go to the bathroom at night, then he would have to go all the way to the front. They said that we could move the bedroom to the front and the kitchen area to the back, but then a visitor would have to go to their bedroom to get to the living room. The apartments were a nice size, clean, and beautiful. It was walking distance from my home, but we couldn’t get past the bathroom being in the front of the apartment. They had church, Bible study, and outings for shopping, to the senior center, to Wal-Mart, and to the library. They had a little bus, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, a TV room, a reading room, and a computer room. The biggest drawback was the location of the bathroom. "

"I visited Fox Ridge, and I didn’t like their setup as much as I liked the other two places I visited. It wasn’t bad; it was just a preference of mine, and it was a beautiful facility. I saw activities going on, and their staff was lovely. It’s a multi-story building, and part of the building is a memory ward, and you can’t get in and out of that ward. I wouldn’t call it gated, but I would call it secured. I would give them a high rating, as what I saw was impressive, though it didn’t address the needs that I have at the moment for my parents. "

"I have been to the Good Samaritan Society Hot Springs Village in the past. You can't see any of the rooms, they're closed because of the virus. But in the past, I've seen the independent living side, that's what I was interested in. I've never heard anything negative about the staff. I've had meals there, the food is good, very good, they have a good chef. Anything that I would want, they offer. The ones they don't offer, like your beauty shops and those, you know you have your own payment for those. But the amenities are complete for what you pay, so that's good."

"As daughter's with a 89 year old mother that requires Assisted Living each day finding a caring place for our mother was our families TOP priority. As we entered the front door to visit Garrett Woods our experience with the facility and staff was outstanding. Instantly my mother and my family felt that we had found a senior living community that felt like "HOME". We moved in a week later and my sister and I could tell that my mother was so happy we could not believe it! She was smiling and eating again and the staff made sure her hydration was on track daily. From homemade pies ( Oh, and they are so good), along with fresh good tasting breakfast, lunches, and dinner with alternate choices if necessary with food allergies. She has now gaining the weight to keep her strong and healthy. Also, she is so busy with planned activities everyday that are designed to fit her skills that when visiting her we can hardly find her in her room but out and about happy and active. Garrett Woods Assisted Living is the REAL DEAL!! With newly updated apartments that are clean, cute, and resident friendly and totally suited to meet her needs it is just truly perfect. All the staff is so polite when addressing my mother calling her by name, making her feel welcome, at home , and most of all respected ! The Administrator, Nursing Staff, CNA's, Housekeeping, Activity Director's, Maintenance, and Food Service Staff all work together to support the needs of the residents and are truly glad that you have chosen Garrett Woods to live. There is no shortage of staffing to meet her needs and no short cuts in any area for assistance. I had heard a comment from management that was so true to a staff member, "you work here for your shift daily and then go to your home, but the residents live here all the time 24/7 and this is their home and we will make sure they are taken care of and safe like family ALL the time".......I loved the comment and it is true. "My mom is living in the Four Seasons. The facility is very well taken care of, it's clean, and it's organized. The staff is very caring and very friendly. I live in another state so when I call them to see how my mom's doing, they're very cooperative and friendly. They have bingo, the facility has a circular indoor setup where they can walk around in, and they have vehicles to take them places, they take them shopping ort o an activity. Then they have a main lobby where there's a TV and furniture, and they can sit in there and watch TV or talk, which my mom likes to do with the other residents and staff. They've got very good food, very tasty."

"I went to look at The Manor Benton. It was beautifully done. I visited the main facility; it was clean and beautifully decorated. The residence that I did see were happy, joking, and getting ready to go on a bus trip. The employee that I talked to that guided me through the facility was very nice, very informative, answered all my questions, spent a lot of time with me, and showed me all of this facility. I went and toured their duplexes which were beautiful and clean. Everybody seemed friendly and glad I was there. So I appreciated that. I wouldn't hesitate to live at The Manor Benton at all, from what I saw. They all wore masks. They had hand sanitizers everywhere, and they were convenient to the residents. The staff explained their cleaning process to me, which was what guidelines state. It was very clean. I was pleased with what I saw."

"My aunt has moved into The Crossing at Malvern, and we're very happy with it. They're very personable. They help in any way they can, and it's just been a great experience, so far. There's transportation to and from local doctors, a beauty salon, a laundromat if the residents want to do their own laundry or they do it for them, and cleaning of their rooms and stuff weekly. The staff there is wonderful. The place is super clean. The rooms are not large, but it's a very homey feeling. It's like a small apartment, and it's nice. I know they are playing bingo."
