"Overall, the Springs Chenal was an exceptional place to stay for inpatient physical therapy rehab. I was there for two weeks, and I felt like I was catered to by the staff who went out of their way to accommodate my every need. To the kitchen, maintenance to the transportation staff, all the nurses and CNA’s, were all friendly and helpful and made my stay a pleasant experience . The OT and PT staff are so knowledgeable, make you work hard but were so much fun to work with."

"We visited Good Shepherd. The apartments were very nice and very clean. It's an older facility, but it's still very clean. The staff was very nice. When the lady was showing me around, there was a patient that accidentally went into a lady's room, which bothered me. You can't keep that from happening, but it was kind of disturbing. However, the staff was friendly and accommodating."

"My mother will be moving into Parkway Health Center. The reason we chose them was the room is private and it's a good size. It's 150 square feet. I asked about the call light, and how they get notified if she needs something or whatever because where she's at now, only the light goes on outside. At this place, the nurse gets paged, the light goes on outside the room, and the nurse's station or front desk gets alerted also. The price was significantly less because it's self-pay for a while. She's got to use her money until she can get on Medicaid. It's nice, secure, and it's got a security guard at the front. They stop everybody that's not a resident there. I didn't meet with the staff except for the admissions department. It wasn't chaotic when you walked in. It was a lot calmer than where she's at now. It was quiet. They have a courtyard and an activity room, and some of them are just watching TV. I think that they have their own appliances in their room. The only person I interacted with was very helpful."

"My relative is receiving the care he requires. The staff is respectful and courteous to my relative and family. The rooms are nice. My family member doesn’t care to participate in activities. However, activities are provided to strengthen one’s physical and cognitive skills. I am no aware of the amenities offered. Whatever they are my family member is satisfied with what’s available. "

"My dad was a resident of The Springs of John Barrow Health & Rehabilitation. The care was good, and the follow up was good. The staff was very helpful. Each time I called, someone answered the phone, and they were helpful each time. I called to get information and follow up on questions, and they did a good job. The communication was good. Their nurse practitioner was good and kept me in the loop. It was a good experience throughout the days that he was still living there. The staff was fine."

"I visited this facility on a regular basis throughout a period of several months sometimes twice a day to visit my Great Grandmother, who suffered from mild dementia and needed round the clock availability of care towards the end of her life. Although I don't believe anyone would call any nursing home "cheery, All American Care did seem to generally keep above the minimum standards of care for its patients, including my Great Grandmother. We never had any significant issues with staff, and my Great Grandmother seemed to generally feel and be safe and cared for.Generally, if I asked someone a question about my Great Grandmother's condition or health, I was treated with respect and given a comprehensive answer to my question. I never got the sense that anything suspect was occurring when I was not around.Overall, I would rate the facility a 4/5. I would have liked to have felt that the center was less clinical, but the reality is that it is, in many respects, a medical facility. "

"This is a really nice pleasant small facility. I went to visit a friend at this particular facility, and I was very impressed with how clean the facility was. Her room was nice a spacious and she had lots of privacy. Her room was really nice and clean and she told me that housekeeping come to clean her room daily and if other assistance is needed someone is always available to help. While visiting with her; we went for a walk and everyone appeared to be happy. And the staff members were really nice and pleasant. The facility had three different sitting areas for guest and people that live there. The front entrance sitting area really caught my attention because it was right by the front door and people could see who leaving and entering the building. Also, the building has a code for entrance which is really safe. I really like the location of the facility as well because it's located in a nice shady pleasant area. The outside area is really nice and I was told that many people usually visit with each other outside on a daily basis when the weather is nice. And my friend mentioned that they even have BBQ outside/inside, which I thought was really nice. The dinning area was really nice and clean. The dinning room area reminded me of a banquet hall because of the cloth that was placed on each table. Over all, I really enjoyed visiting my friend and I was happy to know that she enjoyed living here and it made her feel like she was at her old home. Also, the name pleasant is a really good indication because the facility is really nice and pleasant. "

"We've decided to keep my father at Presbyterian Village. What I like best about this place is the staff. They genuinely care about the residents. They truly are a very caring group of individuals - from nurses, to the staff that work in the kitchen, to the people that clean the rooms. They're just really sweet people. I like the activities that they have. I also like the transportation to doctors' visits. I like their communication with family members about what's going on. I really have not found anything that I don't like. The food is good, nutritious, and there are plenty of choices. They have an activities director, they have four to five different activities every day. They have a chapel and a chaplain so you can attend church. They have cottages for those that are more independent. They have laundry services and transportation not only to doctors' visits, but also to grocery stores and outings."

"Myself and family had to place our great grandmother into an assisted living facility due to her age and the ability to be left alone. We were very impressed with this facility, the staff member welcomed us in a very politely way. This was the family first time placing a close love one in a facility, so we were all a bit nervous. Therefore, the lobby visiting area was full for a a few days with the usually family members that would visit her on a daily basis. We were all excited to find out that we could visit her as much as we wanted and we could come at anytime. If we wanted to visit after hours we could contact someone at the front desk and let them know who we were. This facility was excellent for my great grandmother. The staff were very nice and the facility is updated, I think the facility may only be a three to fours years old. And the location is great because it's located right off of an interstate. "

"On July 18, 2019 we had to make a decision that my mother had discussed with us in the past. She stated "never to put her in a nursing home". But my mother had a stroke and she required 24hr total care. My sister and I both work and we had no one to take care of her. So we decided we had no other choice but to put her in a nursing home. We called around an was told she would have to be put on a waiting list. We called Cottage Lane and was told theyhad beds. Of course we researched and checked reviews . Cottage Lane had some good reviews and some bad reviews. I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me on making this decision. Holy spirit told me not to worry about those reviews check it out for yourself. And I did just that. We decided to put mom at Cottage Lane. And I must say never judge a book by its cover. My mom had a stroke,loss her ability to talk an wasn't moving at all. We was asked about possibly putting her on hospice. But God!! The staff and therapists are awesome. I can not thank the staff for all that they do and have done. She is moving both arms and speaking some words. Praise the Lord. The therapy team is amazing. They have worked really hard with my mom she has come a long way. I want to thank you all from the depth of my heart. Sandra Mallett"

"I have visited The Waters of West Dixon, and it was a very rundown facility. I could see trash piled up on some of the patios. There is a filled-up dumpster with trash rolling out of it. I was going to go on a tour of both their nursing side and their assisted living. The patients appeared (in my opinion) to be drugged or more or less tranquilized in some way. The ones that were walking (not all of them were in wheelchairs) were dragging their heads. Either they were dragging them down the hall to hold themselves up or they were like slumped over in the seat. It was horrific. I turned around and left. I talked to a staff person on the phone, but I did not talk to them once I got to the facility. It was so bad. I did not see anything except what I could see from looking down the halls. I peeked into a few of the rooms, and they did not look clean. A few of them in the assisted living had a little back patio outside; they were full of garbage and bags of trash. I was inquiring about nursing and assisted living. There was no one in there that I could find working. They had a front desk but there was no one there. I walked down the hall looking for somebody. I did not see anybody in there. I did not see any staff. I talked to them on the phone, and they were nice."

"The staff members at the facility were really nice when I was greeted at the front entrance. One particular day I went to visit my great grandfather and his room was dirty and he needed some assistance. There was no one available for help, when called someone many times and we were told that they were short staff. Therefore, I did take the time to assist him with his needs. I wasn't really impressed with the service because no one stop by to see if he needed anything. The building needed some updating and there weren't many areas around to take a shower because they were having plumbing problems. After all, I was just not impressed and I was afraid to leave because of the level of care that was provided. He didn't need much help, but when needed someone should be available within a reasonable time frame. "
