My dad was a resident of The Springs of John Barrow Health & Rehabilitation. The care was good, and the follow up was good. The staff was very helpful. Each time I called, someone answered the phone, and they were helpful each time. I called to get information and follow up on questions, and they did a good job. The communication was good. Their nurse practitioner was good and kept me in the loop. It was a good experience throughout the days that he was still living there. The staff was fine.

My father is at Barrow Creek Health & Rehab. I guess it's good for Medicaid. He only had Medicaid recommendations, if you've worked all your life and you paid into insurance you get a better nursing home.. They have a friendly staff, and some of them try to help, but they also have a humongous turnover. I think they need to work on that. One of the staff that works with my dad directly really tried to work with my dad, also calling us to let us know about him. He's also one of the guys that chased him down the street, so I gotta give him some credit. As for the food, my dad is getting chubby, so he must really like it. I know they try, but he doesn't want to take part in any of their activities. Certain rooms, if they do get out, they're taken to the courtyard, so that's good.
