Nursing Home Communities in Cabot, AR

"A few years ago I had a family member staying at Golden Years Manor. It seemed like a nice place for her to be taken care of. The staff was very good with her, and did their job very well. Everything she needed was included on site, and she was well taken care of until she passed away. She was very sick, so she had to have help with almost all of her daily needs. They fully took care of her, including bathing, using the bathroom, eating and dressing. They were very good to her, she remarked on more than one occasion. On a personal note, it did seem a bit depressing in that place. I wonder now if it would ever get to the residents. Maybe if they made it a bit more cheery, the residents would be happier. Other than that, I would feel comfortable placing another family member here if the need ever arose. "

"I was so impressed with this facility it was very nice and cozy. When myself and spouse walked through the doors to see his grandfather the staff members were nice and friendly and took the time to show us his room. His room was really nice and big, which included a bathroom and his furniture. He appeared to be really happy. I was so happy with how many times staff members came by to ask if he needed anything or if we needed anything. We took an tour of the building and many of the residents appeared to be very happy. There was a living room area at the entrance, which I thought was really nice for those who wanted to visit with friends or family or just would like to look at the outside view. Next, there was another living room area that the activities took place at. Also, I saw many people watching television or visiting with their friends. There is a connection of a patio to this area as well, which I thought was really nice because they could go outside if they wanted too, or just sit near the entrance for this area and look at nature. The dinning room was near this area as well; the area was really nice and clean. We did decide to eat dinner because the staff members asked of if we would like something. Then we were told that they had a private family area. I was so impressed with this area because the furniture was really and the room was decorated very formally. The doors in this area closed, so if you wanted to have a lot of family members together this would be great for a small celebration. After all, the facility was really nice it wasn't to big or small. The place was just really nice and cozy. "

"I can't say that my experience here was wonderful. Only because my friend was here at the end of his life. It was just his time. The staff were exceedingly caring, friendly, and helpful at all times. They took excellent care of my friend and he was comfortable in his last days. I was impressed with how clean the place was. Unlike many places such as this it didn't smell like urine. Infact, I never caught a trace of any foul odor. In my opinion, this is a top notch place and I would chose it for myself or my family\friends. I HIGHLY recommend it. To the staff: You guys are the best. Thanks for taking such good care of my friend Mark. He deserved it. He was a good guy."

"I selected Lakewood for my post-operative care to make it easier for my family to visit. I was a resident for a little over a month following a series of abdominal surgeries. I found that the care and concern of all staff from those that cleaned my room, to the technicians, the physical and occupational therapist, to the nursing staff were excellent. I Knew that they truly cared about my wellbeing. It is hard to accept that you need such a facility at a point in your life and I was glad that my experience was a positive one."

"I am very Disappointed in this nursing home, The staff is poor! they are more interested in there social life then the residents that live there. We have found so many CNA hiding out in my Grandmothers room rater then doing their jobs. They were also busted for lying about her eating they would say she ate when she refused My grandmother has Alzheimer and was neglected and is now in the hospital because of these careless employees. She is dehydrated on top of and infection that no one seemed to notice. She was no longer alert by the time they sent her to the ER. I also found out they didn't bother to get her out of bed even after our family requested it. I worked as a CNA for several years and never would i have treated or neglected any of my residents the way they have my Grandmother. It don't matter If they are combative or not you focus on there well being, and take the time out to make them at home. "

"My grandmother lived in this facility and I was very pleased with the care that she received here. The staff member were always nice and always made sure that my grandmother was pleased as well. She appeared to be very happy and she enjoyed speaking with the staff members on a daily basis. Also, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and being apart of the daily activities that went on. The facility would have concerts, play bingo and have guest speakers. My grandmother favorite was being able to go shopping with her friends at Walmart or whatever type of shopping store they would take them to throughout the week. Next, my grandmother really enjoyed eating every meal, she always said the food was delicious. And there were times I would visit and I would eat supper with her and I can describe the food as delicious as well. The building was always very nice and clean. And there many ways that my grandmother could contact someone if needed. And then the staff members were always walking around to make sure everyone was ok. After all, I was just pleased with this facility. "

"The staff at this facility go above and beyond accommodating their patients, and the facility is kept immaculately clean."

"I'm here. If you need help whether it's for PT, OT, you need medication help, or you need someone who can take care of you while you're recuperating from an accident or surgery, then this is the place. It is an older building, but they are trying to make it more up-to-date. Like anywhere else, you have good and bad staff, it just depends on how you are with them. If you have a good attitude, then they're gonna reciprocate and respect that. A lot of them respect the residents. I would probably say 98% of them do. They do very well with cleanliness. Housekeeping goes through two, three, or four times a day and they make sure that everything is wiped down. They wax the floors, and they sweep the floors. The tiles are always washed, and the trash is always empty. You don't have trash sitting in the corner. The food is good. A lot of times, they have more than I can eat. They give you good proportions, so it's good all the way around. We have bingo and nailcare for the males and females. We have monthly birthday parties. We have music and dedication or devotions for church service type things. Right now, with the COVID and everything, it's hard for people to come in, so we do our own praise and worship. They have enough staff, but people get sick and they have to go home, so it's nice if you have people that can be on standby. Everything is very well maintained. It's an older building, so it needs improvement in some places. They make sure the residents are engaged. They make sure that you're not just sitting around twiddling and in the bed all the time. They make sure they get you up and be interactive. If you have a loved one that needs a place to have care, I would recommend The Blossoms at Cumberland. The staff that they have here do care about their residents. If you have a need, they do what they can to help provide it for you. If they can't, they try and find a way to get it for you or they will solve the problem if you have one."

"My wife will be moving to Chambers Health & Rehab and the main reason that I chose it is because there are familiar faces there that she already knows and I thought that outweighed a place where she walked into and stayed and didn't know a single person and nobody looked familiar. She has aphasia and she can't talk. She can't meet people. She can't have a conversation. So I picked a place here in town, because of familiar faces and people that she recognizes. I talked with the person in charge of the meeting and she covered what kind of people would my wife want a room with, what would be her interests, what she could do, and what she liked to do. As we went through those things, my wife couldn't do anything because the reasoning in her mind didn't work and she couldn't write on her right hand. She doesn't understand instructions. So, there's not a lot of games that she could play on her own. She would have to be led. They told me they could have somebody sit with her and do it for her. They said that they would look after her and try to include her and if they needed to feed her, they would, and some things basically to make her feel like she was part of something while she was there. You can either have a private room or a semi-private room. It's a nursing home with health and rehab. So, they have rehab there, too. The layout is pretty simple to get around. They have locked doors with a code to get in or to get out and so it is a secure place where they can't just get out. I just don't know what to compare it with."

"This is a very clean and beautiful facility. I have been to visit several times and each visit the staff has been very friendly and helpful. But more important I see the residents very happy and taken good care of. There is a lot of activities that continue to give them a great quality of life with lots of smiles. Truly a place that makes you feel at home."

"The Blossoms at Midtown Rehab & Nursing Center is a very good place, and I'm very happy here. I have a two-bedroom unit that I share with another woman, and it's fine. We have a TV, and we watch whatever we want. We get served food three times a day: breakfast, lunch, and supper/dinner. Food and the staff are all pretty good. Every couple of days, they do something out in the lobby. They do fine on the maintenance."

"Searcy's "lock down" Alzheimer wing is wonderful expecially for early stages of the disease.. however they do not keep them in the wing once they become immobile. they offer many activities and interaction with the residents... However I do not recommend it once they are in the regular population ..... "

"Mom is in the rehab wing at Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, Inc. after having a stroke and she's been receiving help with pretty much everything. She wasn't able to walk after the stroke. Now, she's able to walk using a walker, so that's good progress. It is a really good facility. The therapists have been really good. The people have been very kind to her and have taken really good care of her. Since we're there every day, we pretty much know how things are going and it is going well. She likes the aides and the nurses. She has a nice room with enough space for the wheelchair (when she had to use that for a while). Everything is nice in the room. Except there are only two chairs. So, when more people come to visit, we have to go find more chairs, and one of the chairs is kind of worn out and has a hole in the arm, but otherwise, everything is nice and looks nice. For the most part, the food is good. Some nights they have spicy or greasy foods and she doesn't like that, but 75% of the time, she likes the food."

"On July 18, 2019 we had to make a decision that my mother had discussed with us in the past. She stated "never to put her in a nursing home". But my mother had a stroke and she required 24hr total care. My sister and I both work and we had no one to take care of her. So we decided we had no other choice but to put her in a nursing home. We called around an was told she would have to be put on a waiting list. We called Cottage Lane and was told theyhad beds. Of course we researched and checked reviews . Cottage Lane had some good reviews and some bad reviews. I prayed and asked the Lord to guide me on making this decision. Holy spirit told me not to worry about those reviews check it out for yourself. And I did just that. We decided to put mom at Cottage Lane. And I must say never judge a book by its cover. My mom had a stroke,loss her ability to talk an wasn't moving at all. We was asked about possibly putting her on hospice. But God!! The staff and therapists are awesome. I can not thank the staff for all that they do and have done. She is moving both arms and speaking some words. Praise the Lord. The therapy team is amazing. They have worked really hard with my mom she has come a long way. I want to thank you all from the depth of my heart. Sandra Mallett"
