A few years ago I had a family member staying at Golden Years Manor. It seemed like a nice place for her to be taken care of. The staff was very good with her, and did their job very well. Everything she needed was included on site, and she was well taken care of until she passed away. She was very sick, so she had to have help with almost all of her daily needs. They fully took care of her, including bathing, using the bathroom, eating and dressing. They were very good to her, she remarked on more than one occasion. On a personal note, it did seem a bit depressing in that place. I wonder now if it would ever get to the residents. Maybe if they made it a bit more cheery, the residents would be happier. Other than that, I would feel comfortable placing another family member here if the need ever arose.

The nursing home was wonderful. The staff there were very kind and helpful and always kept us up to date on my grandmother's condition, her diet and activities. The rooms were always clean and tidy and my grandmother, as well as all the other residents there, seemed happy and well looked after. My parents and I could always call and check up on her, we were allowed to take her out for special occasions such as special church functions that she'd attended as far back as any of us could remember, like our church's decoration day. Around the holidays the local school would have many of the children come in to do a small play for the residents there which they thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone was extremely nice and very comforting when my grandmother finally did pass and some of the staff that became very close to her even attended her viewing and funeral. All and all our experience there was a wonderful one considering the circumstances.

I went to visit a family friend at this facility; and the facility was really nice. The facility was large with many different units. Also, the staff members were very nice to me and welcomed me and helped me find the room location I wanted to find. The decorations were really nice and there were many living room type areas, that family or friends could spend time together. Next, my friend I was visiting was really happy with her stay; accept the fact that she would over hear staff members stating they were short staff. After visiting with her I asked someone about this and I was told that they had a new owner and they were currently working on staffing, which I thought that this was great. My overall visit was great and I was glad that the person I was visiting was happy. And she told me that she had many friends, which was really nice since she was new the facility. Finally, I was so impressed with how clean the building was as well.
