"Legrand Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center was a good place. It was just like any nursing home where they did everything for you. My dad stays in his own room and they bathe him and take care of him. The staff members were helpful. He started out with a private room and then moved to a shared one. They have game nights where they play bingo and they also go to church."

"I have had both my mother and grandmother in this facility. My mom was there on 4 different occasions and my grandmother once. The staff went above and beyond to make their stay pleasant. They became part of our family. The food was wonderful. Nothing like Queen Esters rolls and dressing. 3 snacks a day were served as well. The activities were excellent. When you walk into the building you are always greeted with a hello and friendly smile. They provided transportation to each Doctors visit which was very helpful to the family. Beauty shop onsite where they got their hair done each week. Housekeeping always kept the rooms clean and smelling wonderful. Shopping was also done once a week if we needed anything extra. I cannot say enough about this home and the staff there. My mom passed away there....my grandmother recently went back home. If we ever need another nursing home stay. She will return. The therapy there helped get my grandmother strong enough to return home and live independent again. Cherry Ridge has been a HUGE blessing to our family. "

"Our family has made the difficult decision to put a loved one in a nursing facility in Bastrop. After visiting all of the facilities in the town, we chose Summerlin. The two unannounced visits we made to Summerlin found the residents in numerous activities and very few in their beds or rooms. There is widespread interaction of the staff with the residents. The facility was very clean on our visits and had no odor. The facility is undergoing a renovation right now, lighting, flooring, painting; but their technology (nurse call systsem) is still somewhat dated. It still works, but is limited to the technology current at the time the building was built. "
