As a family member for someone who personally pays to stay here, he doesn't receive the services that is paid for, such as exercise programs. The food is horrible; he doesn't receive enough and is often hungry. The staff is terrible, with the administrator, being completely childish, often just hanging up the phone rather than have a professional conversation about the situation. The staff tries to claim that my family member is crazy and is losing his mind, instead of trying to solve the problem that they created or answer any questions.

Southern Trace was nice. Everybody there was real nice. They sit, talk to you, and listen to you. They're really looking at you, and they understand what's going on. I like it, and I think my aunt will like it. The people staying there seemed real nice, and she'll get along with them. There's a room that has some exercise equipment, and they go on outings. They have a bus that takes them to get their hair or fingernails done and also doctor's appointments. On Christmas and Thanksgiving, you could come and sign them out, take them to your Thanksgiving dinner, and then bring them back later that day.
