Assisted Living Communities in Wickenburg, AZ

"My mother moved into Love and Care Assisted Living III. It was recommended by a caseworker so I checked it out. It's a group home, and she has her own bedroom and bathroom. They take very good care of her. The staff is caring, compassionate, and just wonderful. She likes some of the food, and some she's not too fond of. They do have activities, but she's not capable at this point of participating in any activity."

"My wife is currently living at Solana Senior Living. What I like best by far about this place is there are only like seven people here, and they have two people day and night and weekends. If she pushes her button, they're in two or three seconds. They run right here. They take care of her. They cook three meals a day. They take all the patients and sit around the table. It's like you're living in a house. It's a house. It's so great to have them all sit around and talk while they're having meals. So, it's a very, very friendly place. The staff is outstanding. They bend over backward to help you. They help her take a shower. They help her get on and off the toilet when she needs it. They clean her up. If she spills anything on her gown, they immediately replace the gown, and they do all the washing here. So, I can't say anything better about them. The room is beautiful. Every room is individual. They have their own bathroom and a giant TV screen in each room. It's amazing. It's like you're living at home because all these people, they sit around a bigger screen out in the living room and they all sit around and talk in the daytime. They bring in a person to entertain them. A woman came in and sang songs. Another time they came in, they played bingo. It was a very great atmosphere. The food was very good. They have a great menu. They have a big dining room table. They hold eight people around the table and they set you up. If you're in a wheelchair, they'll wheel you right to the table or they'll walk you. They'll never let you do it on your own. They make sure that somebody is taking you to the table and back. They have a beautiful patio and it's all paved. You can go out and have an umbrella and tables outside when it's nice. So you're allowed to go out on their patio."

"I am a resident of Joy & Love Assisted Living. I like the people here, the size of the home, and being able to go outside and smoke. I love the people. I'm going to move to a different room that's less expensive, so I'll be okay financially. Everything's working out perfectly. Well, at first it wasn't good because there was staff that wasn't very good. But the owners are now taking care of us. They're much better. I love the residents, they are wonderful. They've only got seven beds here, and there are five residents now. I like that small feeling, so you get to know everybody. We play bingo and cards, and there's a music guy who comes. It's wonderful, I like it. Initially, the food was too spicy but now it's just perfect. We all gather together for meals. Before and after meals, we do things like very gentle exercises. There's a great patio where I do laps and it's perfect. We could have more activities, but it's a busy day as it is. In terms of value for money, I'd give it a five because there are a lot of other places that are a whole lot more expensive, and you have to furnish your own furniture. Here, you don't, the furniture is there. They go all the way to even hospice care. That's what I love about this place, I don't ever have to leave until the day I die. I'm at the initial level, and there's no extra charge even if your care goes off, it's wonderful."

"Dignified Carehome is nice. My father likes it there, and he's happy. Daphne and Nick are the main people who take care of him. They're amazing people. They genuinely care about their patients. You can tell by the way that they treat all of them. They have individualized care plans for all of them, and I like it. I believe there are seven residents there right now. All of the rooms right now, except for one, are shared. They do all kinds of stuff for all of them. A lot of them like to just hang out in the front room. My dad is bedbound, so he can't do that, but they encourage social things and stuff. They have specific meal plans based on what people like, and they try to accommodate everybody. They don't take my father's insurance, but they did a one-time approval, like a special approval thing to accommodate my dad. They were trying to help me get my dad out of the situation he was in because he was being neglected at the other facility he was at. The main purpose is to help him get through his depression, which is why I picked this place. The people working here actually care. It's more like a family setting. They just need to maybe take a couple of cooking classes. It's very homey. It feels like you're at home as opposed to feeling like you are in a hospital."

"Great staff, great meals. My aunt was well taken cared of until her demise. Missing Rea, Mia, owners Dino and Evelyn. "

"My father was in All Care Assisted Living. The caregivers were great and really good with the residents. The home was always clean, and everybody seemed happy. The backyard was really pretty, and the place was easy to get to. The rooms were a decent size, his room was one of the smallest, so it was perfect for him, and his window had a little landscape area they had set up around back. I would recommend this place."

"We had my husband's mother at Edyta's home from Aug. 11th until Nov. 17th when she passed away. She was always clean and neat, the home very clean. The stahh are great working with patients and helping assistance. The one thing I will caution about is thoroughly read the contract before signing!"

"They seemed to be very friendly people. It was a large room, but it's shared with someone else. I've tasted some of the food. My mom says it's not too bad. There don't seem to do too many activities at Best Care Assisted Living because most of the patients aren't able to do too many activities. They do have activities for the ones who are able to do them. She's getting adjusted to it. "

"I love GVT. It's like living on a cruise ship! Go down the hall to swim, play cards, exercise, take an art class, get a snack, go to dinner and even have your blood drawn. No need to go out in the heat. In fact we have free valet parking!! The staff is great, cheerful and helpful. Food is varied. Not typical "senior" food which is normally fried or covered in gravy. Cooked to order and served professionally in 2 different dining rooms, your choice. Residents come from all walks of life, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Their stories are so interesting. Best of all, is the fact this is a life community. As an only child, I have no worries. Come now if you can, don't wait and miss out on what you get here! GVT offers so much."
