I am a resident of Joy & Love Assisted Living. I like the people here, the size of the home, and being able to go outside and smoke. I love the people. I'm going to move to a different room that's less expensive, so I'll be okay financially. Everything's working out perfectly. Well, at first it wasn't good because there was staff that wasn't very good. But the owners are now taking care of us. They're much better. I love the residents, they are wonderful. They've only got seven beds here, and there are five residents now. I like that small feeling, so you get to know everybody. We play bingo and cards, and there's a music guy who comes. It's wonderful, I like it. Initially, the food was too spicy but now it's just perfect. We all gather together for meals. Before and after meals, we do things like very gentle exercises. There's a great patio where I do laps and it's perfect. We could have more activities, but it's a busy day as it is. In terms of value for money, I'd give it a five because there are a lot of other places that are a whole lot more expensive, and you have to furnish your own furniture. Here, you don't, the furniture is there. They go all the way to even hospice care. That's what I love about this place, I don't ever have to leave until the day I die. I'm at the initial level, and there's no extra charge even if your care goes off, it's wonderful.
