"I'm now at Fox Ridge Chenal. I think it is the best one. I have a small, 1-bedroom apartment. The staff is good, but it is expensive. Overall, the experience has been good."

"Mira at Maumelle didn't have their ducks all in a row. They have people living there, but it's just hard to tell how that's going to pan out. And it was a little further out than we wanted. The person who took us around was not the normal tour person because it seemed like he had way too many things on his plate, and that was a little disturbing. Their dining area was nice. However, I don't remember that much about them because as soon as we got there and saw how disorganized they were, we knew it wasn't for us."

"I toured Willow Grove of Maumelle. It seemed like they wanted to pay attention to my mother. The only problem I had was the cost of it all. It was very clean; it was immaculate. The staff there seemed like they were taking care of the people that were under their care. And from what they showed me, it seemed like the apartments were good and spacious. They had a very nice layout, and they seemed very comfortable. There was enough space to help my mother and whatever she may have needed while staying there. They did a great job of showing us the facilities and telling us about everything they did for the people under their care. They were very nice. They asked good questions."

"Fox Ridge is clean. The people are knowledgeable and keep me updated on what's going on. I am very happy with them. My wife has been in their memory care for about a month already. Her room has all the furniture in it. It is kept clean every day, and I feel very confident that she's being kept safe there. The dining area is clean too. She is very happy there, and they keep her busy with all kinds of things like walking. I have no problems at all with them."

"My mom is living in Mt. Carmel Community at The Village. She went in first to assisted living and then ended up going to memory care. She loves it there. She wasn't happy when they moved her into memory care because now she's locked up. The other day they were playing chair volleyball and they sent me pictures. I just love the head nurse that's over that area. She's awesome. We had a meeting with her, I think it was Thursday and she was talking about Alzheimer's and where Mom's at right now because Mom's been going downhill, and we just can't afford to keep her there anymore. It's so expensive over there. So it's like over $2,000 cheaper at the other place. The room at Mount Carmel is quite a bit smaller, but they're always clean and nice. They do all the cleaning and stuff, and she's got plenty of room. She doesn't need a big room. She doesn't sleep in a bed. She hasn't for years because she can't move in the morning if she sleeps in the bed, she can't sleep flat. She has a recliner she sleeps in, so she doesn't need a whole lot of room. We've eaten there many times. It's really good food. They have a library, a film room, and a gym. But I don't think they take the residents over there. They also have physical therapy and it's there if the residents want to use it. But, most of the time, I don't see anybody there. They have a card room, but you can play cards anywhere. They have all those puzzles and they have activities. If they're having a group come to sing or whatever, they'll take them out of memory care down to the regular population so they can enjoy it too. It's a very positive atmosphere."

"My friend is a resident of Willow Grove of Sherwood. It's clean and the staff is courteous. They also are very helpful when you ask them questions. She has a single bedroom apartment. Everything is on one floor. They have activities where they have a church come in and volunteer on Sundays. They take them out to eat once a week. They have a bus. They have a dining room where everybody eats together and socialize. They have good food, because they let the visitors come and eat. It's just a nice place. They have a courtyard and they have a live turtle there. The residents get the chance to feed the live turtle. It's really nice out there where you can sit and they have trees and flowers. It's a really beautiful place."

"I will move into The Manor Benton. The cottages were a lot nicer than the other places I looked. They had a bathtub. That's the only place that had a bathtub. They include three meals a day. All the appliances are there: a washer, dryer, stove, microwave, and refrigerator. It's wonderful. I'm looking forward to it. The person who took me around was good. She was very personable and knowledgeable. I had a meal there, and it was very good. The facility was clean. It was freshly painted, and it looked nice."

"My mom is living in the Four Seasons. The facility is very well taken care of, it's clean, and it's organized. The staff is very caring and very friendly. I live in another state so when I call them to see how my mom's doing, they're very cooperative and friendly. They have bingo, the facility has a circular indoor setup where they can walk around in, and they have vehicles to take them places, they take them shopping ort o an activity. Then they have a main lobby where there's a TV and furniture, and they can sit in there and watch TV or talk, which my mom likes to do with the other residents and staff. They've got very good food, very tasty."

"I did not feel comfortable at The Greenbriar on Stagecoach. They charged $20 each time to drive people to their doctors or stores. Their pricing was cheap enough, but you get what you pay for; it had a smell to it, and the building looked like it needed some repairs."

"My aunt lived at The Blake at Chenal Valley, which is on Rahling Road. It's assisted living, and it's new. It is a spectacular place, the food is good, and the rooms are just phenomenal. The facility is just really grand. They have some independent cottages that have two-car garages. They don't have many independent houses, but their assisted living is just huge. It's a big, beautiful building on top of a hill. Their rooms are nice, and it's all brand-new. They have stuff going on all the time for the people who live there. My aunt had cancer, and I know that they would take her to her doctor visits because my cousin lived out of town. She loved living there. She was sick, so she was limited to what she could do, but she loved being around people, so she would play cards and board games every day with people. They treated her very well."

"We toured The Manor - Senior Living Community. We loved it. It was very, very nice. The apartment was nice, but it didn't have a lot of windows, so it felt a little bit more closed in. The bathroom was much smaller than the facility that we chose. The bedroom had kind of an odd design to it, where the only place for a TV was over a desk, and we thought that was a little odd. The Manor was nice. However, if my father-in-law goes beyond assisted living and needs more care, that cannot be done at that facility. So that was a concern for us that we might eventually have to move him again. At the other facility, I like the fact that he can go and get food any time he wants, but at The Manor, they put the snacks out in the morning, and if you don't get them in the morning, you don't get them, and I did not like that. I just want him to have food whenever he wants to have food. I don't want him to worry about it not being there when he wants it. They had a movie room and physical therapy. The staff were great."

"I toured Woodland Heights. The staff was very friendly. The facility was clean, and it looks like they care a lot about people. They have a lot of activities that they do with the elderly that keep their mind fresh."

"I'm here. If you need help whether it's for PT, OT, you need medication help, or you need someone who can take care of you while you're recuperating from an accident or surgery, then this is the place. It is an older building, but they are trying to make it more up-to-date. Like anywhere else, you have good and bad staff, it just depends on how you are with them. If you have a good attitude, then they're gonna reciprocate and respect that. A lot of them respect the residents. I would probably say 98% of them do. They do very well with cleanliness. Housekeeping goes through two, three, or four times a day and they make sure that everything is wiped down. They wax the floors, and they sweep the floors. The tiles are always washed, and the trash is always empty. You don't have trash sitting in the corner. The food is good. A lot of times, they have more than I can eat. They give you good proportions, so it's good all the way around. We have bingo and nailcare for the males and females. We have monthly birthday parties. We have music and dedication or devotions for church service type things. Right now, with the COVID and everything, it's hard for people to come in, so we do our own praise and worship. They have enough staff, but people get sick and they have to go home, so it's nice if you have people that can be on standby. Everything is very well maintained. It's an older building, so it needs improvement in some places. They make sure the residents are engaged. They make sure that you're not just sitting around twiddling and in the bed all the time. They make sure they get you up and be interactive. If you have a loved one that needs a place to have care, I would recommend The Blossoms at Cumberland. The staff that they have here do care about their residents. If you have a need, they do what they can to help provide it for you. If they can't, they try and find a way to get it for you or they will solve the problem if you have one."
