The rooms are OK. The food isn't bad. There are no activities. Residents watch tv all day in a very small cramped area. There aren't enough seats for the residents so some stay in their rooms. The owners have a huge flatscreen TV in the office for themselves and their family. It would be very simple for them to play bingo, paint, watch movies, do crafts, activities that other homes provide. I provided activities for my family member but they never set them up. The staff doesn't interact with the residents, they just cook and clean. One of the owners brings her boyfriend to cook and work. He's not licensed so it's against the rules of the licensing agency, Arizona Department of Health Services. Residents go to bed after dinner, between 5:00- 6:00 pm.

I have a family member here. No, it may not be fancy, but I'll take care over fancy any day. Francis is lovely, her whole family are great, the food is home cooked vs. frozen stuff and the families of those who are there are friends and look out for each other. Much better than those huge industrial type places that have no soul. And the cat is great.

We were looking for saving money and it is more economical, and that was the main reason for going into Frances Residential Care Home. My friend is not sharing a room. It is a small house with about 8 to 10 people there most of the time, so it is a small staff. They don't offer much, but the people seem competent and caring compared to some places. The food is fine, there isn't a lot to care for and they have a lot of caretakers, and so it is a very small staff, but it is adequate for what my friend's needs are. But it is not a very luxurious place.
