We're in Deer Valley Senior Living right now and very happy with it. One of the main things, why we chose, it was there was a special on the community fees. Everything about it is what we had hoped for. We're not full-time residents yet. We're here for a short term, while my husband recuperates from having knee surgery. They were able to furnish an apartment for us and we could have our pet. There are three scrumptious meals a day provided as part of your fees. We have just been very pleased with the management, the service in the cafeteria, and the accommodation of the staff to meet whatever needs you might have. They're very caring, take their resident's priorities on their list of agendas for the day, and just make you feel very safe and secure. This is the third week we've been here. They have a variety of activities daily. They have a bus that takes residents shopping and they also go for scenic drives or to community activities that the residents can negotiate. Everybody is so accommodating, not just to me, but to everyone. I would certainly recommend it. It's very convenient for the doctors' appointments that he has. His physical therapy will be right here within a mile.

Do your research first before considering this facility! We were forced to move out our parents after 18+ months there. Since Covid, they have undergone many staff/mgmnt/corporate holding changes, and it went from 5 Star to 1. Staffing issues are another matter-very slim staff and all we got were excuses about hiring problems. We were scared to death every day-found out Dad was not getting his meds and he was literally in a stupor. Nothing but excuses as to why this happened. We were finding pills all over the floor, there was urine & fecal matter that never got cleaned up until we demanded carpet cleaning, they would let Mom sleep 16+ hours, put down Dad right after dinner for their convenience, let him sit in filth not answering his call light, not bathe Mom...I could go on but it is too much. There is most likely much more we have missed over the past 6 months due to Covid restrictions on visits, but what we have seen has been downright appalling. And the finale? The current mgmnt got vindictive at move-out, trying to get DME picked up (we were already working on purchase) on move-out day-it was none of their business and not their equipment. They even ran down his Hoyer batteries so that when the new facility tried to use it, it was dead. Again, do your homework. They are under new ownership yet again (Cadence), but if prior mgmnt remains, IMO nothing will change.

Customer representative was courteous, knowledgeable, and very personable. I was very worried and nervous about how I would find my mother a place to live. She calmed my mind by giving me lots of information and many options. I felt much better after our conversation.

The moment I walked into Deer Valley I felt a huge sense of love. The community is brand new. I was looking for my mom that needs memory care assistance, I have been to 5 other communities looking. The moment I stepped into the secured memory care residences I was greeted by lovely residents and staff, they were in the middle of a dancing activity, it was great to see the residents happy and smiling. The units are a good size, big windows and the ceilings are like 12 feet high. It is a very small memory care unit and the residents that live there get one on one care and assistance. I am moving mom here and I know in my heart I made the right decision. Oh, I had lunch with Crystal, my lunch was very good.
