"Grace Assisted Living was in a cramped area. It was too small. My mom would not have been able to go around in a wheelchair in the facility without running into something. It was two houses converted into a facility, and both houses were pretty small. The staff who gave the tour was great. She was wonderful. She even had a dog that lived among everybody. The dog went between both houses, too. The rooms were pretty small. My mom would have only been able to put in a single bed, and that was it. The place was fine. They were great. It was small housing. They house five people in each house. The backyard was pretty small, it wasn't very wide, but they had it set up for wheelchairs. They had a kitchen that had full working staff in it."

"My mom has moved into MorningStar Senior Living at Golden Ridge. We chose it because of the location and the price considering the amenities. We were primarily looking at just the room for my mother. They've got lots of activities, but they aren't significantly different from the others. The main reason we chose this is because of the location and the room. She has a studio room, with a bathroom, a washer-dryer, refrigerator, and sink. The food is very good, but the wait time can be long. In terms of activities, my mom's gone to church and to an exercise class. It's not perfect, so that's why I gave it a four."

"I felt like Glencroft Center for Modern Aging was an older property. It could have been more updated. But the people who were working there were extremely nice and knowledgeable. They were very helpful, wanted to help me out, and made sure my mom was going to be OK. And that was the good part about it. I just don't think it was modern enough or large enough. It was clean, but still very dated. They had games and crafts. They offered the services to get to the store and doctor's appointments. The surroundings were beautiful. What was most important to me was the fact they had a beauty salon she could go to and they had dinners that she could go to and eat with people if she wanted to. They had a lot of interactive games to help my mom. If we were to put her there, she could get to know people and have people to interact with. The staff who gave me the tour was very personable. The dining area was small, but there was a variety of meals."

"Inspira Arrowhead in Glendale is beautiful, new, and well-decorated. It is gorgeous. It's like stepping into a resort. Everything is so well coordinated. The room I saw was great too. Everything is new, perfectly clean, with nice carpet, and a nice shower. I toured independent living, and the staff that assisted me was very kind and really helped a lot. She showed us everything, all of the activities, and the different things that they do. She also came to lunch with us; we had lunch there. It was very nice, and the food was good. They had a painting class where somebody helps you paint. They had a beading class and had a lot of reading clubs. They had a beautiful salt water swimming pool that interested me."

"My mom is now at Arbor Ridge Senior Living. It's beautiful. They have very caring staff. They allowed her to take her dog with her, which is really helpful. They are very welcoming to families and visitors. They encourage them to have dinner and hang out with the residents. It's just a really lovely environment, frankly. The staff are very friendly and very conscientious. They really go above and beyond. They make sure that my mom is settling in and doing OK. They help her find the dining room. Food is really good. It's a very clean place. They have activities. They have daily trips on a bus. They have in-house exercise stuff. They have a really cute, little happy hour in the afternoon, where the residents can gather. They have live entertainment, and they have crafting. They just have a ton of stuff. If you want to be really active, it's a good place to be. Their prices are reasonable as well."

"We liked it, but it's a small community and I needed a larger one for dad to get him more involved with things. I would considered this facility as far as assisted living or for nursing care. The staff were very accommodating and the place is surrounded with a lot of eating places and Walmart. It's has a very central location. "

"It is very nice, bright, and clean. We had a very good lunch there. The common areas and rooms are very bright and cheery. The outside courtyard and the pool area are beautiful. They serve continental breakfast and 20 meals a month, but you could purchase more if you want. "

"The campus of Christian Care is clean, nicely landscaped, and friendly. The staff is personable and caring. I had an older relative living in this facility and she enjoyed her time there. Although she had a virulent form of cancer, the warmness of the staff buoyed her last days. The facility gave her a one-bedroom apartment with excellent amenities. The food at Christian Care was of the utmost quality and really provided a balanced and nutritious selection. As the facility is of a religious background there were a lot of supportive clergy there to lend a faithful hand. The selection of activities was wide and varied and the group interaction provided great support. Overall, Christian Care was an excellent place for my elderly relative and she enjoyed her sunset years in comfort and a human warmth. "

"Samantha gave me the tour of Compassionate Senior Care LLC, and she was very friendly and very nice. She took me through the house and explained everything. I didn't see a food schedule, but I saw what she had fixed to eat and it was a very healthy meal. It was sandwiches and some fruits and vegetables and stuff to drink. The people were all sitting at the table and everybody was happy, very talkative, and very friendly. All the residents seemed very happy. The layout of the house seemed to be good. They had a shady spot to sit in the backyard. It was just a plain, nice, and clean house. The staff was very friendly and made you feel at home."

"My wife and I both like Arizona Life Assisted Home because they were very friendly and very helpful, and they looked at her very carefully. My wife has been there since December 8. She has therapy twice a week. She has a doctor's visit once a month, and she has a nurse that comes in once a week. They have three people looking after them all the time. They do have good food, and my wife likes it. "

"The staff was extremely caring and helpful as to explaining the care they would provide as well as touring the neighborhood to show my grandmother the activities that were available in the community. This included the senior citizen center, which we were told sponsored bingo day and arts and crafts days where my grandmother would be allowed to mingle and relieve her of boredom, especially because she was unfamiliar with this specific area (She lived in East Valley originally). They also provided menu's as to what they would be serving for the month as well as daily activities they had within the facility, specifically the finer arts like crocheting and knitting, which I was sure she will enjoy. The neighborhood is a little on the "iffy" side but the price of the facility ($1900) more than made up for those issues, as the east valley where she wanted to be was a much more expensive option that wasn't feasible. This facility was the best choice I ever made. Overall, I'm impressed with the facility and if I were to be forced to board her up again in a facility, I'd definitely choose Angel's Castle Care. "

"I like The Palazzo. The problem with them is that it would be a long walk for my parents to get downstairs to the Happy Hour or to play pool. The activities were located in another building, and my dad didn't like that. They have a bunch of activities, so they're pretty much the same as the other place."
