The Palazzo Senior Apartments was absolutely gorgeous. That includes the atmosphere, the ambiance, and the apartments. The community was lovely. I didn't expect it to be that way when I first approached it on the outside, but when I got inside, it was absolutely gorgeous. The manager gave me the tour and took me to several apartments, and the apartments were beautiful. The activities that he showed me and talked to me about were also beautiful. I got a chance to briefly meet some of the residents, and they were very cordial and engaging. I knew the rooms were staged with the furnishings, but they were immaculate in the way everything was placed in them. They were big enough and would have been just the right size for me. Some of the food on the menu looked very appealing and appetizing. There was staff there, so if I wanted to take advantage of the meals, they would prepare them there. There is extra help if I need my trash taken out or if I need to have my apartment cleaned occasionally. I was very pleasantly surprised by that. The facility was very clean. Parking was available right there. I have a handicap, and there were spaces right there. If it had not been there, there were other spaces still. So, parking was good.

I toured the independent living community of The Palazzo. It is very nice and very competitive, but I have to say, I would get the most bang for my buck at the other place that I chose for myself. Other than that, the staff members here have their act together. They know what they're doing. They showed me the dining area and their menu, and it was nice. For activities, they have bingo, and basically the same stuff as the others. Their grounds also look great.

I like The Palazzo. The problem with them is that it would be a long walk for my parents to get downstairs to the Happy Hour or to play pool. The activities were located in another building, and my dad didn't like that. They have a bunch of activities, so they're pretty much the same as the other place.

Vicki was our tour guide there. She was amazing. She gave us a lot of contact information for ALTEC and military assistance (because my dad is a vet) on how to get assistance to help out. They are an ALTEC-accepting community. The tour was wonderful. We had not had a chance to eat their food, but we walked through the dining hall as they were placing out their plates for what they were serving for dinner, and the food looked very appetizing. It was clean. Very personable. The staff was welcoming, and very awesome.
