My friend is in a group home at Ambience Care Home 2. I like that it's home-based. It's owned by an RN. Everyone, including the aides, were very caring. She gets excellent, excellent care, and great food. The staff is warm, caring, and friendly. My friend can't speak too well anymore, so they gave her like a little bell on her bed table. If she needs them, she just rings the bell and they come right away. They're fabulous. All the meals are homecooked meals. They offer activities, but most of the people at this moment are unable to participate. My friend was afraid to go to a group home (she was in hospice care), but the owner of the property went all the way up to where my friend was and spoke with her, showed her pictures, and put my friend at ease. She's had not one complaint since she's been there. It's above and beyond what the owner had to do. They have a living room, TVs in every room, and they're in and out checking on everybody all the time. Her care is beyond and above excellent. The facility is so clean and so homey. There are people there that get dressed and go out to the living room and watch TV. They go to the large dining room table to eat. I'd 100 percent recommend them.
