"for my 86-year old mom, we had previously used another care company, and then toured assisted living centers when it became obvious she needed more help than what she was able to do at home on her own. after a hospital / rehab stay we then contacted senior helpers and had a caregiver come in every day to help get her started. they were able to quickly identify a compatible caregiver with their knowledge and caring attitude, and that was perfect since mom didn't want to leave her home of 40+ years. the caregiver became a friend to mom and helped out with tasks all around the house, as well as just being there to be a friendly presence. she was in contact with me giving me updates about mom and that was a big sense of relief. all that helped to keep mom in her home, which she always wanted to do, not go live somewhere else that wasn't home. mom has since passed away, but senior helpers was in touch and her caregiver was at the funeral which meant a lot to the family, as that helped give us more meaningful time with mom. senior helpers is a knowledge, caring company i would highly recommend."

Right now, we're just trying to get physical therapy, occupational therapy, and some nursing care to gear her back, and see if we can get her independent again. Their job needs a lot of flexibility because they go to people's houses, and a lot of people have other appointments, and they're really good at working with us, making sure that they come, and help with what they're supposed to, while also working within our timeframe and theirs. "I would recommend Excell Home Care & Hospice to anybody. They keep my mother safe and they do exercises to improve her strength. It's great. She got physical therapy twice a week, occupational therapy twice a week, and a nurse one day a week. The physical therapists were very attentive, very careful with her, showed her things that she needed to keep her safe, did occupational therapy with her, taught her some ways to use a walker, bend over and get her clothes out of the washing machine, put them in the dryer, get them out and fold them or put them on hangers and how to get them back to her closet again. They did an excellent job."
