We went to see the Assisted Concepts assisted living facility since we were in the area visiting places to consider for our aunt. We could see that the outside grounds were very well maintained and had lots of nice shrubs, trees and seating areas. This residence is a very home-like place -- with nicely decorated and well-designed furnishings where the seniors may enjoy living comfortably. There is plenty of space to enjoy reading, arts and crafts, playing games, socializing and gathering for parties. The private areas were nicely decorated and personalized for the residents and it was clear that they enjoy their surroundings a great deal. The dining room had a homey feel to it with nice seating. Menus offer a nice, healthy variety of home cooked meals. The foods looked and smelled nutritious and delicious. They offer snacks regularly and whenever the residents request them. The residents all enjoy a variety of physical activities - such as yoga classes and may use the stationary bikes and equipment. They are also free to enjoy walks around the grounds in a safe manner. The town offers many local events and culture, plenty of shopping and casual and fine dining eateries. There are also plenty of nearby medical offices and hospitals. The residents here are treated warmly, with their best interests in mind in a caring and respectful way.
