The administrator- Andrea is so capable, caring and a wonderful leader for her staff. She will do what needs to be done if a problem comes up - even if she needs to do it herself!

My mom has been living in Stonefield memory care for the 3 years. The staff is very well trained and are attentive to meet my mom's daily needs. The director has many years of experience I trust her completely. I am informed when there is any problem and they are quick to respond if any need might arise. The rooms are comfortable and the hallways are extra wide for wheelchair and walker movement. We are both delighted to be a part of the Stonefield family.

My mother moved to Stonefield a week before Thanksgiving. She got moved into full memory care and then she got Covid. It seemed nice. I was only there a couple of days before I had to come back to Illinois. My sister is down there, and she seems to like it. My mom chose it because she had an apartment and there was a courtyard, she could let her dog out and thought she could just open the door and be outside, but it was contained and secured. They were locked down because they were starting to get Covid cases at that time when she was moving in, so they were under quarantine, and that's of course where she got it. She's started in the assisted living and then she got moved into memory care in the same campus. The staff seems very nice and accommodating. My sister said my mom got Covid, and she's just quarantined in a room for two weeks. She had a very mild case, and she was fine and considered recovered. I noticed a neighborhood across the street from it. It was easy enough to get to. I just used my GPS and I didn't have any trouble getting there. Her apartment was very nice. She had a little patio she could sit out on. Even if you are a visitor, you have to have the receptionist to let you out because the doors were locked, so you can't just wander out. They were bringing meals to them in their room at that time, instead of the dining room, because of the lockdown. They brought me a meal, macaroni and cheese, and it was good. In the afternoon, they brought our snack, an ice cream sandwich.

I visited this facility

Stonefield was terrific and we really liked it. They seemed very aware of the needs of the people who will be coming in as residents as well as the family. They have a beautiful building with lots of different activities available for the residents. They were just really welcoming. The grounds were beautiful, nicely put together, and well-kept. The place is also accessible. There are quite a few shopping centers and there's a hospital not too far away. It's kind of in the middle of a big subdivision.

Stonefield is small with only 50 apartments and seemed homey. They have activities planned on a monthly calendar, like movie night on Friday nights, bingo occasionally, excursions, and church service on Saturday afternoon. There are different gathering places where a lot of the residents come out and do arts and crafts. They provide three meals. The facility can take them to appointments, but fortunately, my dad can still drive, so they go by themselves. The staff has been responsive. I don't have any complaints.

My mom is now a resident at Stonefield Assisted Living. She has a private room with a very large bathroom. The staff is very good. With regard to the food, she doesn't have any complaints about it. I saw her eat, and she seems to be eating her food OK. She participates in very few activities but goes to church service and has done a couple of outings for dinner.

I visited this facility

I was very impressed with everything I saw at Stonefield. It was clean, people were active, and everybody was friendly. The part I am interested is for people with dementia, and I was very pleased. People were sitting around, and there were people with them. They had a nurse on duty, which I like. They had people out and about, and everybody in there was very friendly. They gave me some information about the price, the different things they do for the patients, and that type of thing. This is the one I'll pick for my husband if and when I need it.

My mother was previously at Stonefield Assisted Living. It's a nice place and it's very clean. Part of the problem there was that they have an Alzheimer's unit at the facility, and even though my mom is old and her mobility is not great, her cognition is excellent. She has good short term memory, her long term memory is very good and there were people that should have been in the memory care unit, so it was depressing for her. Also the food was not very good.

My wife is in Stonefield. She's in memory care. We looked at several facilities, and I just liked it. I know most of the staff by first name and they're good. They have a lot of activities my wife can't be involved in. They do Bible studies, games, and exercises. She can do a few of them. My wife has to be fed. I go there and I feed her, and the food is very good. The room is fine; it's 1-bedroom. I like the people. People are important, and I think my wife gets good care there.

Monday was another amazing night at Stonefield. My parents enjoyed a fabulous evening with friends and family celebrating the holidays: Great food, DJ, dancing, decorations, photos etc. It was a quality night as the residents and their families got time to bond and share fellowship. My mother commented to me during dinner, "thank you for picking this residence, your father and I are so happy." Thanks for the hard work and attention to detail, Stonefield Staff and support!

I am a friend or relative of resident

It wasn't easy making the choice to move my parents into an assisted living facility. I am thrilled about the choice now. At Stonefield in McKinney, my parents are enjoying the beautiful dining area, grounds, wonderful food and activities. Last night, I was included in their "prom." It was fabulous! Great food, the McKinney Dance Band played hits from the 1930's to the 1960's. Residents, families, staff and administrators were dancing! It was a pleasure to be a part of such a great evening. The facility is always clean and inviting. My parents also enjoy exercise and art classes as well as numerous social events. Their calendar is busier than mine! If anyone is struggling over making this kind of move for their loved one(s), the Stonefield staff, managers and administrators truly care and put a lot of time and effort into making their residents comfortable and happy.
