I loved the people at Redbud Place. The residents and staff were fabulous. Everything is self-contained. Everything you could need is self-contained in the facility. It was great. It is right next door to the McKinney Senior Center.

I like the personnel that we spoke with at Redbud Place. She's very personable, very honest about the community, and was forthcoming with how things were. She gave us a tour of the building. We liked her commitment to the assisted living home. What we didn't like was the lack of security upfront. We walked in and no one was at the front desk. When we walked in, we were in there in the presence of the residents before they even noticed us. That needs to be corrected for sure. I didn't meet a lot of staff. It appeared to be clean. It's an older facility. There should be a desk as soon as you walk through the door for someone to stop you and ID you for safety purposes. Their front desk was to your left and all you had to do was just look to the right and the residents were right there in their little eating area. So it didn't feel safe.
