I toured Mountain Creek Retirement Living. The only limitation was that they didn't provide personal care. My dad's pretty independent today, but he may need more personal care in the future, and Mountain Creek doesn't provide that. That's the limitation of Mountain Creek, but in every other respect, I'd say it's a five. The facility was very clean, very orderly, and very well decorated. The staff was great. I didn't sample the food, but I looked at the menu, and it looked great. They have a very nice movie theater, a library, and have card games and table games. They have outings and arts and crafts.

I went to Mountain Creek Retirement Living to tour it. I have friends living there, so they kind of got me going. They're doing three meals a day, weekly housekeeping, and daily trash. Everybody there is friendly. The staff were very helpful. The ones that I saw were all outgoing. The layout is similar to others where they're laid out in an X-pattern. The rooms seemed to be a little bit larger than the others that I visited. But they seemed to be very well maintained. They're remodeling parts of the facility, but I have yet to see what exactly is going to be done. I've had meals there a couple of times, and they were very good. I had no complaints about it. My friends were complaining about the food last year, but they fixed all the problems. It was very, very good. For amenities, they have a multipurpose room, and they're remodeling the fitness room. They have a library and a large lobby/sitting area. They don't have a pool, but I wasn't interested in a pool to start with. They have a membership to an active adult center, which has a pool, a sauna, a larger fitness room, and a theater and all that stuff, and that's one of the big things being able to go to that place.

I have 2 sisters and a brother who lived in Mountain Creek. The food was excellent. The apartment was not that big; it just had a kitchenette with a microwave and a refrigerator. The place was not outdated, and there were lots of areas where you can go and watch television, read, or have parties, like we had my brother’s 100th birthday there in May.

My dad lived at Mountain Creek, and I loved it. It was just a little but too much money, but it was a wonderful place. I liked the environment, the things they had for them to do, the full food, the people in the dining hall fit in very well, and he loved going to the people who were there. The people at the front desk and office were wonderful. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the people in the office -- the manager, front desk, everybody -- were just beautiful, wonderful, and concerned. The servers in the dining hall and the young people who worked there were excellent. They take them to places to eat, they had exercise, he can wash his clothes there, and he can bring his own furniture; that made it wonderful. The service they give you is great.
