My gratitude to Charmaine for her making the process of admitting my wife into Garden Terrace on Oakmont Blvd. a pleasant activity. Her patience, expertise and time she took to explain in depth the process with our insurance, the services they could provide, helped me make a wise choice for my wife's stay at Garden Terrace. Staff is also a professional group accomplishing their activities/duties.

My husband is at Garden Terrace at Fort Worth. I like that it is quiet, nice and clean. It has nursing care. They attend to my husband. They're very good. With regards to food, I don't eat hospital food, but he enjoys it. The building is good and clean. My husband is in a two-bedroom room with a bathroom. It is clean. Their dining area is good. It's open, clean and quiet.

The rooms are spacious but the cleanliness was horrible. The food was ok according to my dad. Only a few, maybe 4 medical providers were good but the main administration/executive team was very defensive, disrespectful and their integrity was horrible when it comes to accountability. They were more concerned about their feelings than my dad's well-being. Do not send your loved ones here if they are ill or need consistent care. If I could give this place a 0 (zero) I definitely would. My biggest concerns was their integrity, lack of communication, customer service, and inconsistent workers who didn'thave a clue what was going on. My father was under their care as a cancer patient who had an infection and was placed on antibiotics. He was not given the proper care when needed and as prescribed by the doctors. No one in the administration at this facility knew what the other was workers was doing. They were rude, defensive, and very disrespectful when presented with questions instead of finding a solution. This continued to snowball until my father felt terribly ill and was rushed to the ER where he later passed away. My family is distraught and very disturbed by the events that took place at this facility. Including other patients that would rant to us about how they were being mistreated. The director and the headquarters never followed up with solutions. No return calls. Please do not send your loved ones here.

Garden Terrace of Fort Worth is an old facility. They were the only facility available when my father-in-law was discharged from the hospital. The two places that he had been before that he wanted to go to did not have availability, which is why we ended up at Garden Terrace. He is in a shared room. They've taken pretty good care of him. I think he's a little disappointed that it's not his top choice of where to be, but he's reconciled to that's where he's got to be.

The nurse gave my mother the incorrect dose of her Lexapro for 2 days before they caught the mistake. I had to call the Director of Nursing -- she didn't bother to call me and then acted like the error was insignificant. There are no phones in the rooms and the front desk is unmanned -- if you have a relative who doesn't have access to a mobile phone there is no way to get in touch with them. The facility is dank and cold. Trash in the rooms is rarely removed. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and avoid this horrible place!!

My mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease and requires rehabilitation after an inpatient confinement and we chose Garden Terrace for rehabilitation. This was not a good decision. The facility was not clean and the majority of the staff were not kind or caring. Further, as a result of poor care by the Garden Terrace staff my mother developed Stage 4 pressure sores. We ended up transferring our mom to another faculty and she received great care. Overall I was not pleased with Garden Terrace and would not recommend them to my family or friends.

My mother was a resident of Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Excellence, overall it was good. There were several issues that I had with my mom, they let her fall several times and she had her wristband on that said Fall Risk and she got black and blue all over. But other than that, they treated her very well and took care of her. Their activities were good. We went by and familiarize ourselves with the place again. Their rooms were fine, but it was too far out of the location that she wanted to be.

This facility is the number one place that I would choose for my loved one other than being at home. While not perfect, as no hospital or facility is infallible, the staff at Garden Terrace are some of the most caring, compassionate, and skilled personnel that I have observed. My mother has stayed now 4 different times since 2017. She had two knee replacements in 2017 and we chose Garden Terrace initially for the PT. We were not disappointed. I stayed in the room with her and observed every aspect of her care from the aids to the nursing. I stay round the clock with my mom wherever she is at whether hospital or skilled facility. I am her main caregiver. Now in 2019 due to a need for rehab after a debilitating infection and hospital stay, we again chose Garden Terrace for rehabilitation. Because of the 2 weeks of PT and OT services that we received, when my mom's infection returned and we again ended up in the hospital for another week, her stamina remained strong. Then when the infection in her joint needed longterm IV therapy , we again chose Garden Terrace. I am amazed by the compassion and concern for my mom's well being not only physically but emotionally . I watch closely the care that they give to the other residents especially those who do not have sitters or caregivers staying with them. This is the place I would choose for myself or any loved one, especially if no one else could stay and be with us. They truly care here about their residents, from the day to day interaction, to the amazing nurses advocating for their residents with their doctors. Having a personal background in health care of directing group homes for mentally handicapped adults, then as a social worker for home health and hospice companies, I know the wide scope of what it takes to care for sick, handicapped and elderly people. Thank you Garden Terrace for all the many ways that you helped me take care of my mother during these trying times in her life. This is our second home. (as per the star ratings below, this web page would not let me click anything above average so I will say it here: the staff is far above average as they are Excellent *****. And the rest of the values are all above average.

This place is a joke. My mother was placed here for rehab after spine surgery. She was not gave her pain medication, or proper care. It took me calling serval times for her to finally getting her medication. DONT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!

Stay Away! My friend went to Garden Terrace for rehab, but instead was forced in to a wheelchair. She was kept in the chair for extended hours causing a blood clot in her leg. She also developed pneumonia during the twenty days she was there. Nurses let her fall the first night she was there. Physical Therapy balked at offering her the full range of therapies and started speech therapy only after they were pressured. She missed at least a week of full PT sessions for reasons related to the PT Dept, not her. They continued to give her food that her chart noted she was allergic to. The food served in her area was barely edible. Hanging clothes along with hangers would vanish from her closet and used on other patients. Clothes belonging to others would appear in her closet...on and on. They finally resolved the clothes issue after continued pressure, but the hangers were never returned. I give the facility "1 Star" for cleanliness. It's clean and they keep the patients clean. The public areas are quite attractive and they keep refreshments for visitors. In some ways it appears nicer than other nursing homes, but it's still a nursing home, and staff have a nursing home mentality. I felt like my friend's twenty days of 100% Medicaire rehab was squandered and set her back. I know how she's responded after rehab at other places at other times and it was far superior to this. If rehab is the goal try Brookdale or FW Rehab, but don't go here.

My friend is in rehab right now at Garden Terrace. The place looks nice. They provide meals and physical therapy. It is just like any other caring place. They have decent hallways, and the rooms are different sizes, but it is nice. It seems like they do a lot of care for the residents there. They are giving my friend physical therapy. They're going to try to help her to straighten her legs. They have a variety of activities for her, too. The staff members have been nice to her; they have been nice to me, too.

Garden Terrace is a very clean, comfortable facility. Large spacious rooms with large windows, with pretty views, occur on at least 2 of the halls, in the facility. There is an Ice Cream parlor for the residents and several activities that my mother has enjoyed. The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Staffing on the weekends seems to be a little disproportionate. The staff still maintain their professionalism and obvious compassion, for both their residents and the families. My mother has spent 2 rehabs (out of 6) here and now resides here. She loves the staff and the food. We have had issues with the laundry, but from what I have experienced at other locations, this is typical. Garden Terrace may be a little more expensive than other facilities, but is well worth the extra. The staff stay on top of the medications and daily care(bathing, meals etc.) and have always seemed to try to spend the extra time to get to know their patients. I would recommend Garden Terrace, for Rehab, Skilled Long-term Nursing care and for Alzheimer's Patients.

They were probably the best one, but I couldn't afford it. The rooms were big, spacious, and bright. The help was really good, and they had a nurse there all the time. They were on top of everything. They provided transportation to doctor's visits. The dining room and the feeding time were very pleasant. Garden Terrace of Forth Worth was really topnotch. The staff was very good and very prompt, and they really cared about the patients. They didn't have a big turnover with the help. The people had worked there for quite a while, and that's always a big plus. She was there for rehab, but a lot of people actually ended up staying there as long as they could afford it.

Clean place, but not worth the huge cost compared to other locations. The staff smile and seem friendly, but most of their revolving low paid staff can't be bothered to even make sure the patients are fed 3 square meals. = I been lied to my face several times.

Garden Terrace was a rehab facility and they did the exercises very well. The services were good as far as the patient was concerned but they were always understaffed. When they've made up the beds, they wouldn't put sheets on it. We'd had to go look. I think the residents were taken care of. It was also an Alzheimer's unit so it's hard to tell whether they were pleased but I think they were doing okay.

My family was very disapointed in this facility. They neglected residents, didn't change therm, they sat in urine all day. They didn't shower the residents regularly and over medicated them to ,a point they were in a vege tativetive state. I would not recommend them to anyone. They also stop Medicare coverage prematurly
